Godfrey holds on to his hand and looks back at Vuni with concern as he whispers, "Cendi, don't yell, she just lost her parents in a car accident, she is still shaken up."

Vuni played the act; her eyes were widened in shock, her lips shivered up, and tears formed in her eyes, though it was supposed to be fake, yet the pain took over, and the tears turned real. Vuni began to cry uncontrollably, and tears flowed like waterfalls falling from her eyes and rolled off her cheeks. Godfrey's eyes widened in shock, and her crying tugged at his heart.

Godfrey's voice broke as he tried to comfort her, but the pain of losing his parent took form, also sharing the air. His eyes began to water as tears started to form in them. With a broken voice, he struggled to say, "Come on, Vuni, everything is okay, please don't cry." Godyfrey sniffled, trying to hold back his pain, yet seeing how much Vuni was heartbroken started to affect him.

Cendi, Godfrey's sister, stared at her brother and his new friend. Before she knew it, she rushed towards both of them, Vuni in one arm and Godfrey in another, hugging them both with tears falling from her eyes.

"Oh, you poor little one, you must feel so lost and alone," she murmured in Vuni's ear.

"To think you came to this little girl's rescue, Godfrey, Mom and Dad would be so proud, you're the best little brother," she murmured in Godfrey's ear.

She held them tightly, snuggling up to the two children, trying to absorb the pain they felt, yet she knew it wasn't helping. Her grip loosened from the children, and she put out her arm, still on her knee, leading them towards the doorway of the apartment.

"Let's go inside and have a bowl of ice cream to chill this sorrow," Cendi announced while wiping the tears from her eyes and showing the gentleness in her expression.

Godfrey's sorrow about his parents turned into excitement as he said, 

"Ice cream in the morning?" He questioned.

"Best sister ever!" he added with excitement.

Godfrey led Vuni inside, holding her hand, yet she tilted her head in confusion as she asked, "ice? Cream? What is that?"

Cendi looked with shock, expressed on her face, "Wait, you never had ice cream, sweetie?"

Vuni shook her head with a concerned expression as she answered, "No, I haven't. I don't even know what it is."

Cendi's face spread with shock as she gasped, yet Godfrey said with excitement, "Oh, you're going to love it!" he led Vuni to a table and pulled out a chair for her to sit, as he said in excitement, "Come on, sit, sit."

Vuni sat in the chair. She wiggled a bit, feeling the roughness of the chair, not used to the hard surface of wood. Godfrey sat in his chair, waiting patiently for his sister.

Cendi was in the kitchen, the kitchen was small and cramped, yet she acted like it didn't bother her. Cendi opened up the freezer that was attached to the refrigerator, pulled out a small box of ice cream, she put it on the counter after she yelped, "Oh, man, that is cold!" she then reached up to the cabinets and pulled out three bowls and pulled out a drawer which she pulled out three spoons, and an ice scream scooper. She then pulled out a tube of chocolate and a plastic tub of cherries from the refrigerator.

Cendi looked at Godfrey and Vuni. Godfrey was jumping in place in his chair, trying his best to wait patiently, while Vuni tilted her head at Godfrey, trying to figure out why he was so excited. a Joyful smile formed on Cendi's face as she looked at the two, yet while she was watching the two, she scooped the ice cream and put them into the bowls, then she put the chocolate topping on the ice scream then she finished them by putting cherries on top of them.

Cendi brings out Godfrey and Vuni's bowls first, saying with a huge smile on her face as she announces, "Alright, guys, here it is, and I put something special on them." As Cendi put them out on the table, Godfrey's eyes widened in shock.

"Sundaes! Really, sis?" he says in shock.

Yet, Vuni looks at the sundae and the spoon with confusion.

Cendi looks at Vuni with concern as she watches Vuni look at the desert delight in question. "Everything okay, sweetie?" she asks in concern.

Vuni looks at Godfrey and sees how he was holding the spoon and how he was eating the ice cream. She picks up her spoon, looks at it with confusion at first, but then she dips it into the ice cream, lifts it up gathering a small bit of it, and puts it up to her mouth.

Once it touched her lips, she yelped and shivered as she said in shock, "It's cold!" She drops the spoon, and the ice cream goes back into the bowl. She shakes her head as a chill forms in every inch of her body and her cells. She asks, "Why is it so cold?"

Godfrey looks up and almost bursts into laughter, yet holds back, yet Cendi looks at Vuni in concern, "I am sorry, sweetie. I thought you knew it would be cold." Vuni looks at Cendi and asks, "Is this why it's called ice cream?" Cendi nods, yet she adds, "If it is too much for you, sweetie, you don't have to finish it."

Vuni shakes her head but prepares herself as she picks up the spoon, yet again, and scoops a small amount of ice cream onto her spoon and puts it in her mouth. She yelps and shivers as she announces, "So cold! Yet so sweet!" Her eyes widen in shock as she tastes the sugar in the ice cream, then her smile widens as she takes another bite of ice cream. She shivers in coldness, but she can feel the sorrows freezing inside her and the sweetness overwhelming her as she starts to giggle.

"So good, but so cold," she says while scooping another spoonful of ice cream.

"Why can't I stop eating it? I like this," she added in confusion.

Godfrey looked at Vuni while dropping his spoon in an empty bowl, making a clanking sound as it hit the bowl. A smile formed on his face as he answered, "Because it's ice cream, everyone loves ice cream."

Cendi looks at Vuni and forms a gentle smile as she eats her bowl and nods, agreeing with her brother.

Suddenly, Cendi's attention was caught as the sun was appearing in the sky, announcing a new day. She sighs as she licks the spoon, getting the ice cream from it. She puts down the spoon in her bowl and scoots her chair back. She stands up and walks towards the phone that was on the wall and starts to dial a number. The beeps from the phone formed, and the sound of singing made Godfrey and Vuni look at Cendi with confusion.

Godfrey asked in confusion, "sis, what are you doing?"

Cendi, though, put up her finger signaling him to wait a moment. "Hello, Principal Adderstan, please."

Godfrey's eyes widen in shock as he says, "sis, why are you calling my school?"

Cendi glares at him, telling him to be quiet. "Yes, Principal Adderstan, it's Cendi, Godfrey's sister," murmurs from the phone, of a man echoes yet uneasy to hear. 

Cendi continues, "Yes, I am afraid Godfrey can't attend school today." murmurs continue to form from the phone, yet are not understandable.

Cendi explains herself, "Yeah, unfortunately, we had another death in the family, I hope you understand." murmurs continued to form from the phone, still unable to understand, but Cendi nods with a sigh of relief, "Thank you, Principal Adderstan." then she hangs up the phone and makes sure the call ended.

She turns to both of them and says, "Okay, now that is over, all three of us are going to get our sleep." she points to godfrey's room as she says, "godfrey you go to your room." she then kneels towards Vuni and points at her room, "sweetoe you can use my room, for now, okay?" Godfrey asks, "Wait, sis, where are you going to sleep?"

She glares at him as she remembers that he still disobeyed her, "I am sleeping out here, and you are grounded for sneaking off in the middle of the night, though you helped your friend, still doesn't mean you can do whatever you like!"

Vuni looks at both of them. Cendi with a stern yet caring stance and expression. While Godfrey lowered his head in shame as he says, "Fine, I understand." As Godfrey went to his room, he got ready for bed, yawned sleepily, and said goodnight to both of them.

As Godfrey yawned, it was passed to Vuni, and she also yawned in tiredness. Cendi gave her some clothes she still had around when she was a small child.

"For now, you can use my old clothes for bedtime, okay, sweetie."

Vuni tilts her head in confusion, yet she nods her head as she was tired and said, "Thank you."

Cendi slowly closed the door and said, "Good night."
