Episode 10

OUTSIDE - Planet Cutost

Bennie, Candy, and Dan cheer together that they defeated the monster but Fenneco looks towards Earl sternly. Earl stares at her serious-looking face and the blaster in her hand, about to wince but instead she says.

FENNECO : “Are you okay?”

EARL : (Confuddled) “Uh, what?”

FENNECO : “Are you okay?”

Earl gets a little flustered since he thought she’d be mad. She looks at him from all corners.

FENNECO : “Humans are said to be fragile, is that true?”

EARL : “I mean—I guess.” 

FENNECO : “But..you..are fine? I do not see anything.”

EARL : (Snapping out of his confusion) “Oh” (He slightly looks away a little embarrassed) “Yeah, I’m fine.”

Upon hearing that Fenneco backs up and looks a little relieved. 

FENNECO : (Sighs) “..Good.” 

She sorts herself out and looks to the others.

FENNECO : “Then we should make our way back to the ship now.”

They all suddenly hear a distant ship starting to power on.

CANDY : “Uh, is that it?”

DAN : “..Get in get in get in get it!” (Dan says this really quickly while jumping back into the mobile)

The others listen and quickly get back into the mobile and Dan steps on it to quickly drive back to the village. Earl stares at Fenneco. Dan spots the only spot left is in between two different cars. 

DAN : (exasperated and annoyed) “You gotta be kidding me.”

Dan slows down and he slowly pulls in and he tries to perfect parallel parking.

BENNIE : (panicked) “Dan! It’s gonna take off without us!”

DAN : “I don’t want to break something!”

Dan slowly turns out, and tries to turn back in, still being slightly uneven.

DAN : “Hold on—almost there..” (Fenneco cuts him off)

FENNECO : “We have to leave now.” 

Fenneco presses the off button and she pulls Dan out of the mobile, and they all jump out and run past the fence entrance. 

CANDY : (rushed) “Mexico! Mexico! Did their ship leave yet??”

MEXICO : “Not yet! But you all best hurry—it’s preparing to beam up all the cargo.”

EARL : “Cargo?”

MEXICO : “Oh, the food you lot came for, likely to feed your species.”

Mexico motions to Earl and he gets moving to the ship.

CANDY : “Mexico! They defeated the Monster! Can you believe that?”

Mexico happily looks towards them and keeps moving.

MEXICO : “I saw! It’s this town's new yearly celebration today! In honor of you all!”

FENNECO : “We..really did not do much.”

MEXICO : (Laughs) “What? Nonsense! That single action of yours just stopped us Cutostians from being eaten! We’re mighty indebted to you all.”

FENNECO : (A little pleasantly surprised) “I..see.”

CANDY : “Mexico, at the rate we’re going..we might not make it!”

MEXICO : “Hm, you’re right, Candy!” (he stops to think) “I guess we’ll have to whip out our secret weapon.”

Mexico looks over to a house and sees Cambridge watering his flowers.

MEXICO : “Cambridge! Fetch the thing.”

Cambridge is caught off guard and drops the watering tool, struggling to pick it up.

MEXICO : “For goodness sake—hurry Cambridge!”

CAMBRIDGE : “R-right!”

He hurries to behind his house/tree and he drags out a big wooden catapult looking thing.

CAMBRIDGE : “Here you are!”

MEXICO : “Perfect! Now, Candy, Cambridge, help me aim this thing.”

CANDY+CAMBRIDGE : “Right!”

They help aim the catapult and Mexico motions for the others to stand right in the catapult. Bennie and Earl look nervous, Dan looks excited. They set it up and Mexico lets go to talk to them, leaving Cambrigde and Candy struggling to keep the catapult down so it doesn't propel them.

MEXICO : “Alright, When you get over there, you should get into one of the cargo boxes—since I’d reckon it’d be a bit too late to sneak on to the entrance of the ship without no one noticing.”

DAN : “Got it—”

Mexico nods and is about to let them go but then he remembers something.

MEXICO : “Oh! And here’s something important, when you get flying, keep your arms down and—” (Mexico gets cut off by the catapult shooting them through the air immediately)

Mexico pauses and looks over to Cambridge and Candy, they smile nervously and shrug. Mexico looks back at the catapult. 

MEXICO : “Welp—at least they got most of the important parts.”

Cut to them flying in the air, Fenneco is gliding like a pro, holding on to Earl, so Earl isn’t flipping, but he is dangling from her. Bennie somehow is shooting through the sky upside down and is a nervous wreck staring at the ground. Dan is spinning through the air, about to throw up. 

DAN : “AAHHHhhhHHHhhhHHHhh”

BENNIE : “Arms down arms down arms down arms down.”`

EARL : “I..think I’m gonna be sick.”

They conveniently get shot right at a bush and they all crash into it, Fenneco is the only graceful one, tossing Earl a little upwards so when she lands, she immediately goes to catch Earl safely. Earl is a little embarrassed but just accepts it since this is a better solution than crashing into a bush. 

EARL : “Well—good thing I’m not afraid of heights.”

Dan stumbles up and throws up behind the bush.

DAN : (Throwing up) “BLeeehhhh”

(He joins the group, wiping his mouth)

“I taste regret.”

Suddenly, they hear a noise and they look up to see the ship about to beam the cargo crates in. Fenneco quickly takes out a blade from her belt, lifting the top of two crates, motioning everyone to get in before closing the lid above Bennie and Dan, and jumping into a crate herself and closing it above her and Earl.
