The weather seems nice since that day, Soul looks prettier, Shin has become gentler, and the office is calmer than ever. The sudden change in Mr. Shin is questionable yet it is indeed good for everyone. Thanks to Soul’s love of acceptance that has made the withering Shin come back to life.

All the good things but Shin still has a doubt in him. “Now how should I persuade him? I need to level up.” Just when Shin was brainstorming, Soul enters in their cabin wearing a white shirt, loosely tugged. His hair has grown longer, lips tinted in baby pink gloss, rosy cheeks decorated with big bambi eyes. The love-struck effect can be seen through him.

On the other hand, Shin appears different than his usual self. Looks like he listens to his boyfriend’s advice. His wardrobe now has colors other than black and grey. His eyes no longer has a deadpan look but a spark of joy. Interactions with the employees now no longer annoys him, instead he often smiles.

As soon as Soul enters the cabin, he stands near Shin’s workstation and proceeds with the work brief. But Shin seems to be lost in someone’s countenance so he leans on the desk with one hand for a better access and stares at his lover.

“Are you even listening Mr. Park?” Soul says faking an annoying voice.

“Yes Mr. Kim!”

Soul gets irritated with this cheesy Shin so he just gets up saying, “I’m done here. Excuse me now.”

Later at lunch time, Soul and Gyul goes outside to have their lunch.

Gyul pushes Soul from the side and asks, “Hey Soul! You seem so happy these days. What is it?”

“Nothing.” Even though Soul denies, he blushes harder making his face more readable for his best friend.

“Did you fall for someone? Is it a boy or a girl this time?” Gyul teases.

“A Man.” The pride can be felt in his voice.

“Oh! My boy is already whipped!” Gyul teases even hard.

“Stop it Gyul-” Soul’s phone rings, “Oh wait! Mr. Shin is calling.”

Gyul simply rolls his eyes, “Damn this man never lets you live.”

Soul awkwardly laughs as he knows he’s now guilty in the crime too, and picks up the call, “Hello sir…”

“Meet me at the parking lot after work.” Shin cuts the call right away.

“Damn boy! He is even calling you after office time.” Gyul supports his bestie but poor thing, he doesn’t know it’s a privilege that only Soul is going to get.

After the office, Soul wraps up his belongings and heads towards the parking lot only to find out that the CEO is already waiting in his car. Soul swiftly enters Shin’s car and settles down out of his new habit.

“So, what is it?” Soul casually asks thinking there might be some work.

“We’re going for a date.” Shin says this with a straight face while starting the engine.

“HUH!” Soul’s lips parted with the sudden announcement, “What? Wait, No!”

“You don’t have any options baby.” Shin declares.

“Fine! But if it’s your damn pub then I’m running away.” Soul sulks.

“Okay Mr. Kim!” Shin smirks knowing well that Soul is a blushing mess now.

After sometimes Shin pulls over in front of a bookstore.

Soul looks outside and exclaims, “How do you know that I like reading books?”

“Your boyfriend is good at researches.” Shin proclaims proudly while patting Soul’s head, acting all proud.

But Soul pulls out his Instagram saying, “Seems like someone followed me for research purpose.”

Shin smiles awkwardly after getting caught. After that both of them enters the bookstore.

Soul actually looks comfortable here than the pub. He keeps strolling around the bookshelves, checking some random books of different genres while Shin just admires him from afar. Soul looks like a kitten who just got new toys. After checking for a while, Soul comes up with a couple of books at the counter. Soul was about to pay for them when Shin slides his card and pays for them.

“Why did you pay?” Soul pouts, too cute that Shin can eat him right now.

“So what? You can share the books with me later on.” Shin says as he slightly bends to match Soul’s height. The fact that Shin is trying to learn about Soul’s interests is itself so overwhelming for Soul. Then the shopkeeper hands them the bag but Shin picks that instead.

“You’re spoiling me, Shin!” Soul says as he makes doe eyes towards Shin, shiny enough to melt him.

“A kitty like you needs to be spoiled.” Shin pecks Soul’s cheeks as his cute aggression is hitting him again and again.

After that they both comes to the car and sits inside. Shin now hands the bag to Soul and fixes his seatbelt when Soul says, “Wanna go to my condo?”

“Is it okay?”

“If you don’t want to then-”

“I’m going!” Shin wastes no time and drives to Soul’s apartment.

“Nano! Papa came back!” As both of them enters to Soul’s condo, he calls his cat with the babiest way possible, making Shin think, “Is he even a real human?!

Soul couches down and picks up the cat when Shin feels a sharp gaze. “I think your baby doesn’t like me. Please don’t let him loose.” Shin says while remembering the embarrassing moment from the past. Soul chuckles sweetly for Shin’s behavior. “So cute” is what Soul can think. He then asks, “What do you want to eat? I’ll make it for you.” Knowing he might say something unhinged like ‘You’, so he already warns, “No dad jokes Shin!”

This is enough to humble Shin so he just replies, “Anything that’ll be quick to make.” Soul hums and leaves towards the kitchen with Nano in his hand, giving Shin a breath of relief. After half an hour, Soul calls Shin to sit at the dining table while he arranges the plates and serves the Kimchi Stew with some Kongjaban (sweet and savory braised black bean).

“Wow! You even got Kongjaban!” A stupid excitement can be felt in Shin’s voice. Soul first sets a bowl of cat food for Nano and let the cat eat, then he fixes himself right beside Shin’s seat and then he replies without looking at him, “Do you think that it’s only you who’s good at research?” as he speaks, he fills Shin’s bowl with some stew that he made. Shin smiles widely and proceeds to have dinner with his beloved.

Soon the small room fills with little teases, laughter and the warmth of caring. It’s crazy how the outside world can never imagine Park Shin smiling ear to ear, giggling and playing around but now it’s not unbelievable for Soul. Even though it’s not so long that they’re together, Soul has understood that Mr. Shin is just a shell and the inside has a tender, warm Shin that needs to be pampered and protected just like some other human being. Soul feels blessed by the fact that now he has someone who is willing to join his mini world and letting him do whatever he actually wants, even when it’s something that Shin isn’t used to.

While Shin is just the happiest to be able to be here. Soul’s condo has become an escape place for Shin. A place where he can be himself, where he doesn’t’ need to just work and work, where he doesn’t need to maintain his father’s reputation. He’s simply happy without his father’s filthy money. Here he is truly loved, valued and understood by the love of his life.

A true love is created just like that and nothing matters.
