Charley's P.O.V.

I stared at the man in shock. I DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS TALKING ABOUT ME WHEN HE SAID HE LOVED SOMEONE! I'm screwed, I'm screwed. I'm so screwed! Sang-ook Bin fell in love with me at first sight. I am supposed to deny him and leave?!? I am supposed to act like this never happened and live life, probably find someone I like months or years later, get married, have kids, and try to forget this man never confessed his love for me decades ago?!? I know I am overthinking it but think about it? What am I supposed to do?

“But you don't know me,” I said.

“I would like to get to know you.”

“What if I am a horrible person?”

“I will still love you. No matter what you tell me, I will still love you. Well, unless you are not interested. Then I will learn to stop loving you.”

“What if I am taken?”

“Are you?” I paused. What should I say? “I will back away if so.”

“What if I have a large debt?”

“So you are single?” Should I be honest? “If you are not, despite my love for you, I will gladly stop being a bother. As matter of fact, I haven't asked you if you are even interested in men or if you were okay with my proposal. I apologize. Are you into men and are you okay with my proposal?” His voice has such a lovely tone. It is pulling at my heartstrings.

Hold on, no!

However, he is a good-looking man who does not trigger my negative vibe detector. Yes, he is a little strange, but other than that, he is okay. It is good that he is curious in my sexual orientation as well—PROPOSAL?!

“Proposal?” I questioned.

“I would like to marry you when you feel ready to marry me.” I stared at him in shock. “Is that weird?”

“A bit when you are saying this to a mere stranger.”

“A mere stranger that I fell in love with at first sight.”

Marry a rich man

I fought Janie's joking words from my mind. I don't know him at all nor do I know what his family is like. The media can show one thing but what if they are the complete opposite? No, what if they do not want him to marry someone like me? WHY THE HELL AM I ACTUALLY CONSIDERING HIS PROPOSAL?!? My phone began to ring. I dug into my dress pockets and pulled it out. I looked at my phone.

Jocelyn

I refused her calls all day to keep my mood up. She is probably fuming. “Excuse me for a second,” I answered the phone and walked further away from the music. “Hello?”

“You have been ignoring my calls again. Why?”

“I have been busy working overtime.”

“I thought you were done with that.”

“Another loan came in the mail, remember?” She gave me a dry chuckle.

“Really?” I didn't say anything. “Wow, you are blaming me for this? It's your fault why things are this way, remember? Had you not done what you have done, I wouldn't have had to deal with this but big cousin, since you are you, you are going to help me out of this, right?” I looked back in the direction of the Sang-ook Bin to see him staring at me with curiosity.

“Help you with the loan sharks who place lavender into the envelopes that hold your loan information.” I walked a little further away from him.

“Yeah, but you know better.”

“The first time they did that, I was sent to the hospital for almost a month.” I walked a little further so that he could no longer see me. “Do you know how much overtime I had to work to pay for my hospital bill and your loan?”

“You survived, right?” She's just brushing off what I went through. She always does that. “You are strong, though. Able to work past anything and everything. That's why I think you are cool. You can get past any obstacle.” I felt my anger boil. She's so selfish.

“Do you know what I had to go through-” My hands began to feel itchy. Not just a normal amount of itch. There is a lot of itch. This point makes me almost uneasy. When I looked down at my hands, I noticed little red lumps growing all along them. I traced to where they started to see a particularly large red spot on my arm. I turned around to see not too far from me, lavender plants. Highly floral ones from their scent. I must have accidently brushed up against it. From the strength of the lavender aroma, I am surprised I didn't notice it sooner. Given how quickly the rash is developing, I do not have much time before going into shock. I need to inject myself with my medication right away!

“Hello?!” Jocelyn said on the phone.

“Jocelyn, I have to call you back-” I wheezed. My throat began to tighten.

I don't have long!

I dug through my pockets and grabbed my medicine. Before I could open it, I felt my breathing become shallow.

I'm fucked

Sang-Ook's P.O.V.

As I no longer heard the woman who I had spoken to minutes before, I found myself becoming worried. Should I check on her? It would be inconvenient, right? But what if something happened? There are strange people in this world who can do strange things.

I should check on her. I walked in the direction she had been in. As I did, the worry inside me grew. Everything is too quiet and I feel a pit in my stomach.

Something isn't right

My eyes widened as I saw her. She was on the ground and wheezing. I rushed over to her and lifted her off of her back. “I got to get you to a hospital.”

“Don't.” She heaved out.

“But-” She pointed her eyes to the right. I looked in its direction to see what looked like an injection for allergies.

My eyes looked back at her to see what looked like small bumps along her arms and chest. She is having an allergic reaction. She has to be.

I grabbed the medicine. “My- thigh.” I popped off the top before lifting her dress slightly until I could see her thigh. I took the medication and injected it into her thigh. After some time her breathing grew better, but I couldn't let her sit here. Especially after an allergy attack.

“I am going to take you to the hospital.” I said.

“I'm fine.” She said hoarsely.

“You had an allergy attack.”

“But-”

“We need to confirm if you are really okay.” I lifted her bridal style and grabbed her phone. “Come”
