Sang-ook's P.O.V.

Outside of Charley's Condo Building, 9 PM

I waited with a large bouquet of roses outside of Charley's condo building. I could feel my stomach become a pit. Today, I am showing her the estate she will be living in. I'm nervous as hell, but the thought of seeing Charley today makes me happy. The doorman opened the door. Charley came out with a large, long, black trench coat, and underneath it was a long midnight blue dress that hugged her curves and stopped at the lower part of her ankles. Her shoes were black heels. As she saw me, a blush came to her face. “Sang-ook?” Her shoes quickly clicked along the pavement as she lightly jogged over to me.

“Hi,” I said with a smile before handing her the bouquet.

“Thank you.” She said before accepting the bouquet. She smelled the roses before smiling at me. “You shouldn't have, honestly.”

“How can I not? You deserve it.” I said before opening her car door. She got inside and sat down. I closed her door and walked to my side before getting in.

The Bin's Third Estate, Thirty Minutes Later

I sat, blown in surprise as I saw the large cobblestone house with a dark gray roof. This place looks to be four or five stories. I should have known this place would be huge from what felt like a few minutes' drive from the gate to here, and the fact that we seemed to be going up a hill at one point in time. “This is where you live?” I asked. He nodded.

“Yup,” He got out of the car. Wow, I never expected his place to look like this. I mean, I knew he was rich, so what else was I expecting? I get it, but to see something like this up close and in person feels unreal. He opened my door.

“Thank you,” I said before walking out.

“I had the chef make us dinner.” The chef makes us dinner?! Damn, and I wanted to stay home yesterday. Maybe I should have accepted his request. “Tonight we will relax. Tomorrow I can call the movers and make a day you are comfortable with for them to get your things.”

I'm so happy to have met

this man

I know it has been four days since everything started, but had this not happened, who knows how my life would be right now? “Come inside,” He said as he led me away. I followed him down the gravel pathway. My eyes looked at the nature around this place, besides the back. From here, I can see a slight view of the city just off the cliff. There is nothing but the woods surrounding this house. I know that other houses are not too far from here, but it's just different. At home, there were neighbors a few feet from me. Now the closest neighbor is three to four miles away. Sang-ook used his keys to open the door. The moment the doors opened, I smelled the sweet smell of cinnamon. We walked inside.

My shoulders relaxed as my eyes looked at the white-walled home decorated with decorations of silver, gold, and copper. I have seen a few video tours of houses online that looked like this. I would always imagine myself in one of these houses and what my life would be like. Who knew I would somehow end up living in one of these? What would I add? What would I subtract? What would I substitute?

“It's nice,” I said. As I noticed that I spoke out loud, I blushed in embarrassment. “I-” I looked at Sang-ook to see a small smile on his face.

“It's nice, but it would be nice to have my wife's touch in this place.” My ears began to feel hot. “Will you be able to do that for me?”

He's a charming man indeed.

Dinner

I sat across from Sang-ook in the dining room, and it looked as though one sneeze could break something. This dark brown wooden table with marquetry looks stunning, and then these velvet chairs I am sitting in feel as though they were made by angels themselves. Not to mention the captivating, expensive china and vases. The only problem I feel is that everything is quiet. I looked at Sang-ook sitting at the end of the table. My eyes went to his plate. He hasn't eaten yet. Perhaps he is waiting for me to eat. I cut into my steak and began to eat it. As the steak went into my mouth, my heart began to flutter.

It's so good

Sang-ook began to eat. I tried my hardest not to scarf down my plate, but it was so hard. Lucky for me, I have a knack for noticing details. In this case, it is that Sang-ook eats a lot faster than I do. Or is he doing that to make me feel less awkward? Either way, it helps. I took a drink of my wine.

Thirty Minutes Later

I sat on the couch as Sang-ook played the piano. A smile lay on my lips as the music from the keys serenaded my ears while his warm humming wrapped me like a warm blanket. Who knew I would be getting wine and a show tonight? Sang-ook finished his song and looked at me. “If you want, I can play a song for you every night.” I leaned my head on my hand.

“That is a lot of work for a busy businessman, you know.”

“For a woman I love, playing the piano makes me content. In my mind, it's something I can do to make you happy and comfortable.” I stood up and walked over to him.

“You need to relax at times, too, Mr. Businessman. I don't want you to get burned out this early in our marriage.” I said before walking behind him and massaging his shoulders. He purred in enjoyment.

“With massages like this, I don't think I will be burned out.” I chuckled.

“Mr. Bin, we have finished preparing the second master suite.” Said an older woman with ivory-colored skin, short-cut faded orange hair, light blue eyes, and a bright smile.

“Thank you, Amanda.” He said before stopping his playing of the piano and looking at me. “Earlier, before leaving work, I asked you what you would prefer to sleep in. Are you sure that's all you may need?” I nodded.

“A night slip and a bonnet are perfect.” He nodded before looking back towards the piano and playing it once more.

Sang-ook's P.O.V.

2 AM

I walked down the hallway from my bedroom. My gun stayed in my hand as I made sure I had not been walking too loudly. This is the first job I got this close to a client. I had to. From what I heard and saw, Charley was smart. To get me to drink yesterday to see if I would fold, I knew there was a chance she had been into me. To see that I was right. Then again, it was worth it in the end. She came here.

Smart people always require larger ideas. Especially in this case. The good thing is that it was only Charley and I here in the estate tonight. Had anyone else been here, my plan would have failed.

I stopped as I saw Charley at the end of the hallway with a smirk on her face and a butcher's knife in her hand.  “You know, if you were going to kill me, you should have done it sooner,” she said.
