Ahanium: A New Beginning

Chapter 2: The Potential(Part 1)

Chapter 2: The Potential(Part 1)

Jul 22, 2025

Year 5301, Principle of Sun, Solar Era, Month of Chroma

After that first fateful meeting, Persius leaves for his studies and is gone to Baehalan for four years. During that time he meets with all kinds of governments like the Seven Kings of the territories and the Pharaoh. He sits in on every kind of diplomatic meeting and makes great strides in his studies. He records as much data as possible to try and bring back a stack of papers and in the time he is gone, he thinks about his friend, Ajii. He did just leave and that was his only friend that knew him like no one else except maybe the dean. He’s gotten quite close to a lot of others of different races: a couple of succubi and incubi around his age, some mages, some ants but no mythics…no no. Most aren't here but no one knows how bad it’s gotten. He keeps his promise and sends letters periodically to Aiah to keep her updated. He actually loved writing to her and putting a bit more emotion into it versus his letters to the dean which were primarily about his lessons and how they were going. It was a stark difference but at least he got to show excitement with someone and also get a response faster than the usual weekly letter. He had all the letters from everyone stored in a small chest and kept the chest tucked away in his pocket on a keychain; he had learned the shrinking and enlarging spell from his tutor recently and used it to sneak away all kinds of things, some sweets, some sushi and fish, different books that are of an…*ahem*...adult caliber, because he had the most intense curiosity. But…he learned…and learned quite a lot over the years and it’s been interesting to see his growth. He also did grow physically too with his blue hair being past his shoulders now.

He is currently writing one of his last letters to Aiah and of course one to the dean after. He likes writing to Aiah first because he gets a response faster plus her words give him warmth.

Dear Goddess Aiah,

Hello! I will be coming back in a week and I'm excited to share all my progress and my expeditions. It’s going to be amazing. I can’t wait to see you and everyone. I’ve missed everyone but it’ll be nice to see you honestly. I’ll show you photos too! I have a gift for you as well. I hope you like it. I’m not sure what gods or goddesses like, especially one who is the Goddess of All Treasures. You probably have this already…I’m still going to give it to you. Anyways, I have a meeting in a bit. See you soon! Bye!

Persius

He writes his letter to Natasia after his last sit-in meeting, where the Seven Kings actually got along and established fairer trading systems. He felt it was a good end to his diplomatic period.

Dear Dean Haile,

I shall be back in Resosia in a week. I am very excited to come back home and share with you all my traveling and experiences throughout the continent. It’ll be wonderful to see you again and I hope you can make time for me. I am eating and sleeping enough so you don’t have to worry. Thanks for even giving me this opportunity Dean. I have a small gift that I hope you like. I have no idea what you like except if it’s beautiful and is colored blue and gold. Hehe. I really appreciate this and you. See you soon.

Persius.

He starts getting packed up as his caretaker invites him out to a restaurant to celebrate a job well done on his studies and on his diplomatic duties. He spends the next week wrapping up a few loose ends, preparing all of his documents and research, and he’s off to Resosia once again via SolarPlane, a solar powered speed aircraft that is focused on getting places fast and efficiently. It only takes him roughly 6 hours to get back but he is extremely jet-lagged.
