I want to know if he's here at the K-café. We didn't chat about this; I just want to see him again.
"Riselle,"the employee at the counter called my name, so I approached to get the Iced Americano I ordered.
When I'm about to grab the cup, the guy said,"Ikaw yung kinikwento ni Han, di'ba?"
"I'm not sure," I said because I don't know what he's talking about. "What did he say to you?"
"Ilalaglag ko na tropa ko sa'yo," he said while laughing,"crush ka no'n."
I grasped the cup without thinking and unintentionally let go of it.
"I-I'm sorry."
My hands trembled as I tried to fix the spilled Iced Americano.
"Ayos lang ma'm," he said while laughing nervously. He cleaned up the mess I made while I stood on the side.
I didn't think about that.
He approached the fine lady. It looks like he said something to her, then he went back to cleaning up the mess.
I go to the restroom to catch my breath. I need to breathe.
He likes me? So, he likes me.
I take a deep breath to calm my heart.
I come out of the bathroom, even though I haven't fully recovered from what happened. My mind keeps replaying what he said.
Oh, my mind, calm down!
"Ms. Riselle, ito na yung Iced Americano niyo." I turned to the guy when I saw another cup placed there. "Libre na po 'to. Ginulat ko po kasi kayo kaya natapon." He ran his hand through his hair.
"Thank you," I said, but I also take money from my wallet at inabot sa kanya ito. "But I'm not broke yet." I tried to sound joking, but it was my mouth—like it has its own way of saying it—like I am offended by what he did.
