THE LIGHT THAT WALKS WITH ME

When shadows wrapped around my soul,
And silence filled the aching whole,
You reached inside my quiet grief,
And offered light, and love, and peace.

When the night was all I knew,
And hope was hidden from my view,
You found me in the silence deep,
And stirred the soul I let fall asleep.

You didn't flinch at tears I cried,
Or turn away or step aside.
You didn't ask me why I fell,
You only whispered, "All is well."

You held my hand through every storm,
And kept my fading spirit warm.
With gentle words and steady heart,
You gave my world a brighter start.

You spoke of stars I'd never seen,
Of skies beyond the dark and mean,
You held a mirror to the sky,
And taught my broken wings to fly.
