“Aren’t you working?” Ryu asked, attacking Shion. Shion’s answer was a bit confusing; he nodded hesitantly. Ryu didn’t like Shion’s behavior; he stared deeply into his eyes.
“Okay, I’m too lazy to work. They called me here, but they also called another detective, which is already their job.”
Ryu didn’t understand, tilting his head slightly.
“Look, they’re just trying to tease me. Ever since I went crazy, they never considered me normal anymore. When I announced I was no longer crazy, they thought I was lying. So, they want me to take on the detective job because that’s my buried dream, and I definitely can’t solve the cases they’ve provided.”
“No, don't lie. I know you already know who the killer is.”
Shion fell silent, the light in his eyes fading. He took two steps back. A faint smile crept across his face; he hadn't expected Ryu to say that.
"Ha... HAHAHA. You're so funny, Ryu!" Shion burst out laughing. He clapped his hands cheerfully. "I love your jokes."
Ryu sighed. Now he was starting to wonder if Shion was truly crazy.
Shion's purpose in calling Ryu was to accompany him at the crime scene. Ryu didn't mind; instead, he became very curious about the case at hand.
Night had fallen, and they ended up at a bar closest to the crime scene. The evening was filled with jokes and laughter from two men who had just met yesterday. Both were drunk, but still managed to walk straight. Bruk! Ryu accidentally bumped into a man who had just exited the bar next door.
"Damn, walk properly!" shouted a man in a long coat and his face covered by a black hat. Ryu didn't answer nor nod. He remained silent for about half a minute before finally walking into the bar where the man had exited.
"Ryu? Do you want another drink?" Shion asked, half-conscious. Ryu again didn't answer, walking inside without thinking. Shion had no choice but to follow Ryu's footsteps.
Ryu walked past the tables spread throughout the bar, heading towards the VVIP room. Once there…
“AAHH!” Shion screamed hysterically when he saw blood splattered all over the room. The blood-soaked floor no longer looked its original color.
