A strong headache hits Oliver as soon as he opens his eyes early in the morning. He sits up holding his head with his both hands.
"Fuck !" He curses under his breath and pats on the duvet aimlessly to find his mobile.
"What are you doing ?"
Oliver's eyes shoot up.
Daniel raises his one eyebrow as he stands in front of Oliver in his office suit.
It's already half past eleven. Daniel was ready to leave for the office as Oliver was still sleeping in his room. He didn't wake Oliver up. But when he came back after breakfast to grab his ipad, he saw Oliver beating his bed sheet in a daze.
Oliver blinks before he screams jumping out of the bed "what are you doing in my room ?"
Daniel tilts his head "your room ?"
Oliver looks around the room in panic He was about to ask where he was when last night's events came back to his memory like a wave.
Daniel notices Oliver's face slowly losing it's colour "I am sorry ! I had no idea. he would turn out like this."
Oliver's whole body trembles. He looks at his CEO in fear and confusion. He opens his mouth to ask something but nothing came out. He sits on the bed slowly.
Daniel walks past Oliver and pours a glass of water for Oliver.
Oliver takes the water in trembling hands and gulps it all down the throat. Then he looks up slowly "Did .. he ... Did something..
"No !" Daniel replies shortly. As much he wants to say that he rescued Oliver on time but it wasn't true. Had he been on time, Oliver wouldn't have the slap mark on his cheeks right now.
Oliver lets out a shaky breath "Thank you."
Daniel takes the glass back from Oliver's hand before dialing a number on his mobile.

Albert slides a legal draft in front of Oliver. "This is going to be your legal statement if you are pressing charges but I still advice not to go against the Browns like that.
Oliver looks at the draft in hesitation. Mr. Adams is right. The Brown's are powerful and they have resources to turn the table completely. He looks at the ceo first before turning his gaze at the lawyer. "I don't ... want to press charges."
Daniel looks at Oliver in disbelief "Are you serious ?"
Oliver lowers his head "I can't .. win against them.. I don't have resources."
"Don't you have a spine too ?" Daniel almost shouts.
"Dan !" Albert stands up from his seat "Oliver is being practical. You are delusional if you think he can win against them."
"Well, he will not be the one fighting against them. It will be Fusion corporation against the Browns. And I do have the resources."
Oliver bites his lips. "Sir ...."
"Don't!" Daniel takes the legal draft from Oliver and gives it to Albert. "Do it."
"I need Oliver's concent. It's his statement not yours." Albert informs.
Daniel looks at Oliver in frustration "grow a spine. Will you ?"
"I have a spine." Oliver argues back. He feels like crying. He is the one who is victim. He is the one who suffered that horrible incident. What rights the CEO has to blame him ?
They all are rich. This is their ego fight. Whether they fight or they lose, none of them will bear the consequences. Only Oliver will bear it.
He will be blacklisted in the industry by The Brown's. He already lost his job in Fusion. He is jobless and homeless in CEO's words. So, why should he ruin what little bit left of his own career ?
"I will not press charges." Oliver replies firmly this time.
Daniel clenches his jaw and throws the draft on the centre table with force "wonderful. What's left then ? Go back and wallow in self pity. Since that's the only thing you are good at."
Daniel storms out of the room in long strides leaving Oliver and Albert in the room.
Albert sighs. "Don't mind him. He is short tempered like this. But I support your decision. You stopped a huge scandal just by not pressing charges."
Oliver wipes the tears that escaped from his eyes. "I .. I will be leaving then."
Albert nods "I will inform Dan. And about the legal compensation, don't worry about it. Daniel isn't heartless. What happened last night, I don't think he would pursue that matter anymore."
Oliver nods politely. "Thank you."
"About your termination, I will talk with Dan ..."
"No .. I.. can't work there anymore .. I have some personal.. reasons." Oliver cuts Albert's words hurriedly.
Albert nods and hands over the termination letter from his file. "Then here it is."
Oliver takes the termination letter with trembling hands. "Th..thank you."

Nick looks at his computer screen with a smug expression. He reported Oliver's absence from the company yesterday but he had no idea the CEO would take action this fast. CEO really trusts him to the core.
Now Oliver will know the price of cheating on him. Now, Oliver has to beg him to keep his job.
The rereads the email again. Official termination of the Oliver Barrer, Team lead of Finance department. Capital branch.
Nick hurriedly opens his contacts to dial the headquarters. The call connects after third ring.
Hello, B.D sir .. this is Nick. I got the termination notice for Oliver. But I have a problem. I need a team lead for the urgent projects. How can I manage everything without a team lead ?"
"No idea about that, Nick. You need to talk to the supervisor or DM. But for the urgent project just take someone you prefer. We will handle the extra pay. Just upload his contribution to the daily tracker.
"ok then I have one employee, Colleen Cric. Since Oliver's absence, he is handling Oliver's role. So I am appointing him temporarily?"
"Yeah yeah ! Do that for now."
Nick cuts the call with a smirk. He tries to dial Oliver's number again but it's still not reachable. But he doesn't care anymore. "Olive, wait till you recieve your termination notice. You will be the one calling me begging. See you soon."
