Planet 808

Chapter 1: Eyes of Gold

Chapter 1: Eyes of Gold

Jul 26, 2025

Normal P.O.V

Year 4027, April 13th

Outside of the Blue Camelia Palace Chapel

“Please make way for the new queen and king of Planet 273!”

On the third moon of every century, a boy and a girl are born. The girl is raised to be a queen and the boy a king. It's a long process that brings life to the planet. And without it, Planet 273 would no longer exist. The future queen of planet 273, this time has the name, Kari. Many watch from the sides as the just-married couple are carried on their palanquin. Traditional drums blasted while beautiful confetti of blue, gold, and silver fell from the sky. The sky was clear and bright and yet the emotions of everyone in the pala varied as though it was a cloudy day with no rain.

“Queen Kari has been said to be beautiful.”

“I heard but they are also saying something else.” For her appearance given to her at birth. She grew into a skilled, intelligent, hardworking, and creative woman. She has the sweetest voice but there was a problem.

“She looks scary.” A tall sand-toned short with long turquoise hair and blue eyed woman said.

“Yeah, she looks like an ice queen.” An average-height walnut brown-skinned man with medium-length turquoise hair with green eyes said.

Her gaze, as damaging as it was, could freeze hell itself. The most beautiful of all the land, however, the most problematic. “Scary, you dare to call the new queen scary?” The group turned around to see a umber brown skin accompanied by light blue hair that was long, and curly. Her dark eyeliner had wings flowing in far directions and stopping at the end of her face, and black lipstick was unlike anything she had ever seen before. Not to mention her three unusual piercings, one silver hoop on the right side of her bottom lip, another silver hoop in the middle, and one silver hoop in the central part of her nostrils. Her clothing, a long daisy-yellow sun dress. Lastly, she had eyes of gold. Just like coins in a dark cave, anyone would notice them.

“She is scary. Look at that stone-cold face.” A tall, pale, long wavy turquoise-haired, and brown-eyed man said.

The gold-eyed woman’s brows furrowed. “Hey, do you know who you are talking to?” A deep brown skinned purple eyed with long coily turquoise haired woman said, walking up to them.

“Some random woman.” The tall, pale, long wavy turquoise-haired, and brown-eyed man said.

“No, the queen’s friend.” The group's eyes widened.

With The Queen and King

On The Palanquin

Kari stared out the window of the palanquin in low spirits. Weddings are supposed to be happy and full of friends and family. Kari’s wedding though, only had staff and her friend Nylah. Sadly, her mother was not able to make it. A metallic taste came to her mouth. Oh, how she wished her mother could have made it. Especially on a day like this one. “Congratulations Queen Kari!”

Kari’s eyes made their way toward the crowd to see her best friend, Nylah standing there and waving excessively in excitement. A smile came to her face. Nylah made her way to where King Kade and Queen Kari were going to be marched just to see her. She is her best friend indeed. “The journalist seems expressive.” A masculine voice said catching Kari’s attention. She looked away from the window and towards the handsome fair-skinned, average-height man with a muscular build, diamond face, brown eyes, and medium-length deep turquoise blue hair.

“Nylah, she is always like that,” Kari responded.

“It makes sense. She was the only one crying at the wedding.” He snickered.

“Yeah” Kari, otherwise known as the Robot Queen, gained the name in under three hours after her wedding. On the ride around the kingdom, she heard at least ten people call her that and there was no doubt many others hadn't said it.

This whole thing in a way feels frustrating.

The palanquin finally arrived at the palace. The queen took in a deep breath. She is to consummate her wedding tonight. That is what she has been taught for the past five years. It was annoying to hear and sometimes scary but it was life. “I have some things to do for now. Regarding the consummation, we can  meet in our chambers tonight.” King Kade said softly with a sweet smile on his face. Kari nodded at the king's words. For a man she met only three times since her training to become queen, it was surprising that he spoke to her as if they had known each other for years. She should be happy yes like she was taught but the fact that she also had to move all her important items into a new room on the other side of the castle at four in the morning made her thoughts not particularly normal. Honestly, she can go for dinner and sleep at the moment.

“Very well King Kade.” She got out of the palanquin. Two guards made their way to Kari and led her into the palace. Upon entering the staff stood straight. With each step inside a row would bow to her. Kari nearly rolled her eyes. Part of the staff hardly respected her before. Now she is suddenly important. Perhaps it is because, in a snap of a finger, she could have them sent to death.

“Celeste, Niela, I would like to change for the docks,” Kari said to the two tall sand skin toned, long turquoise-haired maids with blue eyes at the end.

“Very well my queen.”

An Hour Later

Kari stared at the colorful ocean ahead. Now that she is married she can walk the docks alone. For twenty-five years she always had people around her following her every step. Now that she has become the queen she has finally earned her peace. All it took was marriage. She clutched the hem of her white blouse. She may not need maids but she needs to make sure she follows her rules. She no longer has those strict teachers watching her every move but the thoughts of that long brown ruler coming across her wrist remind her of her training.

Shaking on the docks caught her attention. She sighed to herself. Freedom or not, she is not allowed near others besides her staff for another five days. She turned around and started to make her way off of the docks. Her eyes caught eyes of gold, stopping her. “Congratulations Queen Kari” Kari stood with excitement running in her heart. A smile came to her face before she ran towards her turquoise blue-haired best friend.

“Nylah!”

“Kari!” Nylah ran and hugged the queen. She sobbed in happiness.

“I can’t believe you are married.”

“Me neither”

“Soon you will have a kid and-”

“Stop, I don’t even want to think about it.” Nylah paused before slightly backing away and looking at Kari. She had a smile seconds ago but suddenly Kari’s face looks as though it’s fighting her tears. There was so much she wanted to ask but if she were to hear her answer she would only want to stay with her longer. It is best that she change the subject.

“Kari, it has been only a few hours and you seem like a new person.”

“That is because of these rules. It all sucks.” The two paused for a second before quickly pulling apart.

“I forgot you are now allowed to be near others for five days,” Nylah said. Kari nodded.

“Yeah,”

These rules suck

“Well, we can continue to send letters. After five days the kingdom will give you your first phone right?” Kari nodded.

“Yeah! You will be my first contact there.” Nylah smiled.

“I’m excited” The sound of the clock tower balls caught their attention.

"I have to go," Kari said. Nylah nodded.

"Okay"

The two started to go their separate ways but Nylah stopped. “Kar...Queen Kari”  Kari looked at her. “I have not found any new information on your mother. From the records, I only saw that she lived at the home you mentioned until twenty years ago. After that, she appears to have vanished.” A tinge came to her heart.

“You must be thinking of something.” She said. Kari nodded.

“I think my mother has left the planet.”

“Left the planet and went where?”

“Perhaps to her home planet.” Nylah’s eyes widened.

“But why would she do that?”

“She fears being alone.”

“But she could have visited you these past twenty years if she felt so lonely,” Nylah asked with dismay. Kari shook her head.

“She was not allowed to.”
