The BloodRose Waltz

ACT I-II (Verse 13)

ACT I-II (Verse 13)

Jul 27, 2025

Releasing herself from her husband’s embrace, Sarah washed away the sorrow and stood up from the table. Abraham looked at her with a concerned look, but she gestured to show that, she had everything under control.

Sarah: “Boys… and Boro, it’s time to feast. I’ll go bring the pie and some plates. Be right back.”

Without further pause, she moved on to the kitchen. Abraham placed his hand on his forehead, staring at the ground. He was very troubled from the barrage of predicaments that had befallen his family. Wishing to remove the negative energy flowing around the room, Ishmael came close to Athan, wishing to address the Boro in the room.

Ishmael: “(elated) You friend is really awesome! I never had an animal of my own before. Do you mind if I play with him?”

Athan placed his palm on top of Ishmael’s head and rubbed it with care. The boy took this signal as a form of approval, smiling widely. As odd as it would seem, he grabbed Athan by the hand, transferring him gently in front of the Boro. Abraham slightly raised his head, curiously raising an eyebrow at the sight.

Ishmael: “(excited) Tell me, tell me! Can you do any tricks with him?”

Intrigued by the boy’s character, Athan was eager to entertain him. After taking a quick look around, a pair of fruits trapped in a small bowl, caught his attention. With a smug expression, he tossed one at the Boro. Instantaneously, the large creature stretched its head, capturing the fruit with perfect precision. Wanting to make it even more interesting, he threw it a little further than the animal’s position. Without restraint, it leaped forward to grab the fruit, causing a minor shockwave that vibrated throughout the house floor.

Shaken by the wave, Ishmael lost his balance, falling to the floor. Athan himself was dumbfounded. He never recalled the ground being so affected by the Boro’s force before. Panicked, he went to check on Ishmael. Much to his dismay, not only was he totally fine, the boy had broke out in wholehearted laughter.

Ishmael: “(jolly) Ha, ha, ha! Wow, your friend really puts the L in large! Ha, ha, ha!”

Bewildered, yet pleased by the boy’s response, he couldn’t help but crack a smile upon witnessing Ishmael’s reaction. Before he knew it, an awkward cackling exited through his mouth.

That boy, had quite the ability to elevate one’s mood.
