He realized he was just a step away from reaching Level 4 and earning an additional three attribute points, for a while, Alec had deliberately left his current points unallocated, waiting for the right moment to make use of them.
Ever since his Agility crossed the 10-point threshold, he noticed even the zombies had struggled to lay a finger on him.
Unclassified and low-tier zombies couldn’t keep up with his movement, his speed had increased, reflexes sharpened, and an improved battle awareness made him nearly untouchable; this was all because of an increase in his agility stats, and that revelation opened his eyes.
Now, with a clearer understanding of how the system’s scaling worked, Alec planned to raise his Strength and Endurance to the same benchmark—10 points—and see what further changes might unfold.
But before distributing those points, he had something more urgent in mind: officially evolving one of his Level 0 golems into a (Low) Tier 1 Golem.
With such an upgrade, that golem would reach the strength of a (Low) Tier 1 mage, and with the custom weapons Alec would forge for it, he felt it could potentially go toe-to-toe with even a (Mid) Tier 1 opponent.
After taking the front space of where the Lanzt clan mages were, Alec spread his golems into a wide semicircle, letting them keep the zombies at bay and serve as the frontline vanguard.
Then, turning to face the Lanzt clan members, he addressed them firmly.
“You all are required to fire at least one wind blade every minute. It’ll ease the pressure on my golems and clansmen,” Alec stated.
“And more importantly, it’ll help you recover your mana faster. We’re the ones keeping the zombies off your backs.”
“And why should we take orders from someone in the Gordon family when we have our own leader?” a voice sneered from behind the group, laced with arrogance but too cowardly to show its face.
The white-haired boy leading the Lanzt group clenched his fists, lips twitching in frustration as he silently cursed the idiot who spoke.
Alec smirked.
“Well, I don’t mind breaking through this horde again and letting your mana burn out while the zombies tear you apart, your choice.”
“After all, our most important mission was to eliminate the zombies in this area until they were no longer a threat, we were never ordered to babysit a bunch of arrogant second-generation kids who can’t handle their own battles, so don’t ever think I won’t do what’s best for my clan mage’s” Alec said coldly, eyes locked on the wave of zombies that were beginning to overwhelm his golems with sheer numbers.
“Hey! Assist the golems with your stone bullets! Don’t just stand around like spectators, if I lose even one of those stone golems, you’ll have me to deal with. I invested heavily to raise them to this level,” he barked at his fellow clan members who had broken through the encirclement with him.
Agnes’s lips twitched in frustration, but she followed the command like the rest, casting stone bullets without complaint.
Most of them assumed Alec was referring to the resources and techniques he used in building the golems, but they were mistaken.
He could craft a new golem if one was destroyed, but it wouldn’t carry the same battle experience as the others.
It wouldn’t have the spear technique imprinted from relentless combat, nor be anywhere near close to killing a hundred zombies, an essential requirement for evolution.
Alec was determined not to lose any of them, especially now that several were close to stepping into the Tier 1 golem realm.
The stone bullet spell was one of the most efficient Earth-based spells—cheap on mana, quick to cast, and easy to learn.
With proper circulation techniques, one could cast it repeatedly without running out of mana.
However, its usefulness was limited to unclassified zombies, against Tier 1 zombie and above, whose muscular defences bordered on armour skin, the basic stone bullet spell became practically useless.
That said, a truly refined stone bullet spell—cultivated to its highest potential might still pose a threat even to Tier 2 creatures.
“Errm, can I talk to you for a moment?” Brandon asked, approaching Alec with a hint of nervousness.
Alec threw an arm around his shoulders and looked him in the eye.
“We’re family, Brandon. You shouldn’t have any hesitation saying what’s on your mind,” he said, drawing him into a light brotherly embrace.
“I’m not good with the stone bullet spell, even my casting is slow. I’m more of a frontline fighter, like your golems.” Brandon admitted.
“Whoa, you’re one of the few mages I know who’d rather throw their life away on the frontlines than rain down spells from a safe distance,” a Lanzt family member said mockingly.
Alec shot him a cold glare that made the boy freeze and immediately fall silent, swallowing whatever sarcasm he was about to add. He simply watched, eager to hear what Alec would say to Brandon.
After Brandon’s confession, Alec used his inspection skill on him.
[Gordon Brandon]
Level: (Low) Tier 1 — 70/100 until next realm
Race: Human
Battle Power: 75
Affinity: Earth (Peak)
[Specialized Skills]
Earth Spear (Lvl 4)
Earth Compression (Lvl 2)
Alec’s eyes widened slightly at the sight of Brandon’s peak affinity for the Earth element, it was the first time he’d seen a classification above high in talent, confirming that the outside world likely held many talents far beyond what he had encountered.
“You’re gifted, Brandon. You’ll fight on the frontlines with the golems. I’ll have them make space for you beside Titan,” Alec said firmly.
“That way, you’re both protected and effective. I wouldn’t want to lose a golem, but I’d hate losing a clan member even more.”
Brandon’s eyes shimmered with emotion as Alec’s words resonated with him.
“Don’t hesitate to use your Earth Spear spell. It’s your strongest move,” Alec added.
“Wait… how did you know—” Brandon began, confused, but Alec quickly cut him off, realizing he’d slipped by revealing information gleaned from the system.
“As the leader, it’s my job to know my comrades,” Alec said smoothly, brushing off the question.
“Now go. Show them what the Gordon younger generation is made of.”
He patted Brandon on the back, sending him off. As Alec surveyed the battlefield, he noticed that despite being vastly outnumbered, their group was holding strong, with Brandon joining the vanguard and wielding his earth-forged great sword, the kill rate spiked dramatically.
Meanwhile, Titan was tearing through the horde. His efficiency made the word “killing” feel inadequate—it was a massacre.
With a single swing of his mace or a forward shield charge, he cleared swathes of the undead as if they were mere practice dummies.
[Earth Golem]
Name: Titan
Level: 5 (Can be upgraded – 740/1000)
Realm: (Low) Tier 1
Rank: Rare
Attributes:
Strength: 25
Agility: 14
Endurance: 22
Skills:
Mace Mastery: Level 3
Blocking Mastery: Level 4
Spearmanship Mastery: Level 5 (Note: Skill not originally Titan’s. Requires consistent spear use to fully assimilate.)
Titan’s growth was staggering, so much so that he had already surpassed Alec in raw combat capabilities.
Alec didn’t fully understand the nuances of the levelling system yet, but he knew one thing for certain: Titan was nearing the Mid-Tier golem threshold.
With the attributes granted by his custom-crafted earth weapons, he felt Titan could likely stand his ground against even a Peak-Tier zombie when that happened.
At last, Alec understood the true advantage of owning a high-ranking golem, it was like having a genius among ordinary warriors, capable of fighting its own realm.
Though Titan had recently acquired Spearmanship, Alec saw no need to have him abandon his trusted mace. Titan already dominated with his mace and shield, excelling in both offense and defence.
Alec turned to the Lanzt family, expression firm, voice cold.
“Now, are you all ready to follow orders, or should I just turn my back and let you die while my squad takes all the credit for cleaning up the half-dead zombies you softened?” behind Alec’s word the Lanzt’s could clearly feel the threats behind the underline meaning he left in his statement.
Before any of the younger Lanzt members could throw another tantrum, the white-haired boy at the front stepped forward and extended a hand.
“Hi, I’m Bryan Lanzt,” he said.
“Alec Gordon,” Alec replied, shaking it.
“You sure your people are ready to cooperate?”
“Yes. If we want to survive, we definitely have to work together. “Bryan said feeling confident that Alec’s group needed his clan’s help as leaving the encirclement won’t be as easy as entering it.
“Don’t be too sure of that,” Alec smirked, giving Bryan the uneasy sense that Alec wasn’t just bluffing.

Alec found himself reincarnated into a world where magic reigned supreme.

He was initially confused by the turn of events, but little did he know that this was just the beginning of a much more extraordinary journey.

As fate would have it, he soon discovered that he was the illegitimate son of one of the most influential families in the capital, the Blaze Clan but His grandfather, taking on the responsibility, cared for him until he was old enough to embark on his path as a mage.

Ironically, Alec never truly grasped the significance of his family's ancient secrets, dismissing them as trivial.

However, everything changed when he awakened his dormant system and gain abilities that made him unique.

From that moment on, he dedicated himself to becoming one of the world's most renowned mages, all while working towards fulfilling his grandfather's unfulfilled aspirations and carrying on the golem mages' legacy.
