Taehyun was sitting at his desk scrolling through his phone, random websites and links every few seconds. But.. only thing is, his thoughts where definitely not here. More on Seojun, more on the blood stain on his shirt. He kept scrolling through random apps for hours, zoning out. 

But suddenly after significant time of scrolling.. Something really caught his eye..

“Student from University of Seoul goes missing! What we found was shocking-”

..Oh?

There it was, on the thumbnail of a news article. And wait..he knew that girl!? That was Aeri. He’d talked to her at parties, college events, some casual meetups. They were even quite close and hung out quite a lot.. still.. Was she really missing..?God.. he hoped not. He clicked the article without thinking. Yeah, it was definitely her.. More photos popped up ones she’d posted on Instagram before. He remembered that green dress from some college night out. Felt strange seeing that photo with now different context. Okay but... now he was interested. Mostly because it was a nearby college. And also because, again, the blood on Seojun’s shirt was still stuck in the back of his mind and it kind of just led to him getting curious on other cases..

He started reading:

[February 2nd | University of Seoul Missing Person Report]

On February 2nd, twenty two year old college student Kim Aeri, student at University of Seoul, was officially declared missing. Initial reports say she hadn’t been seen or heard from in several days. The first concern came on January 30th, when her mother called the nearby police station saying Aeri hadn’t been answering her calls or responding to messages from anyone she knew. Later that same day, her private tutor reached out to Aeri’s mom, stating she hadn’t shown up to any tutoring sessions and hadn’t notified him either.

The second missing persons report came a day later from Aeri’s close friend, Seo-ah ,twenty three years old, also a student at the university. She told police she hadn’t seen Aeri on campus, in class, at local parties, or even online. “It was like she just disappeared” she said

Taehyun played the first one

In the video, Aeri’s mom stood outside what looked like her house. She was being interviewed. Her hands were trembling and her voice kept catching.

“I-I… I don’t even know what to say. I could’ve never imagined this happening.. Aeri was a good kid. She always had perfect grades, she studied hard, she stayed out of trouble. She was respectful, polite, focused. She never even missed class and always helped her peers out.. So when I noticed she wasn’t answering… I got worried. I just knew something was wrong. I called the police, but—"

She paused. Her chest was rising fast. She was gasping, whispering something unintelligible under her breath. Then she suddenly stopped speaking altogether. Her eyes rolled slightly and she dropped the mic. She fainted right there on camera.

Taehyun blinked. “What the fuck,” he mumbled. Yeah… that was… intense?

He scrolled further.

“Yes, as you saw in the interview, her mother fainted mid sentence. For all concerned readers, she was taken to a local hospital and has since stabilized. Now, moving on let’s hear from Aeri’s close friend, Seo-ah.”

Taehyun tapped the second video.

This time it wasn’t a formal statement. Just a low quality shaky clip of Seo-ah recording from her bed, eyes red, tissues scattered across what seemed to be her blanket.

“Hey… um… I’m Seo-ah. I don’t really know what to say but here we go..? Aeri was..no, no, she is like a sister to me. We talked every day, every single day. There’s no way she would just disappear like this without telling me I just know that for a fact.. Even if she was upset, even if she was going through something, she’d still say something. So this just… it doesn’t make sense. I really hope she’s okay. but more I just..I really hope she’s alive.. If anyone knows anything, please, just... please say something. Please im begging.”

The clip ended with her quietly crying, wiping her face with her sleeve.

Taehyun scrolled down again.

Evidence + Timeline

As of February 2nd, Aeri is officially considered missing. A search team is now operating across multiple areas, with high focus on one particular district where Aeri was last seen. The area in question is a street near Gangnam filled with high end housing complexes most of which are unoccupied. These buildings are usually owned by wealthy families and left empty. It’s a quieter, eerie part of town that’s often used by university students as a shortcut after parties. We have confirmed that Aeri was last spotted near that exact block by a club entrance late at night. The club has no working security cameras so we unfortunately couldnt rely on that. Days later, a black sneaker was found nearby in an alley. It was wet from recent rain. Inside the shoe was a folded piece of paper. The ink had bled too much to make out what it said.. until today.

While we cannot disclose the full contents of the note due to the sensitivity of the case, we were informed by sources close to the investigation that only a few words could be read:

".. The second note..."

".....She deserved it.."

wow? No full setences at all? Cant be that bad.. right? That was already unsettling as hell, but Taehyun kind of had seen it all on websites he had to hack so he was somewhat sadly used to it. But now.. he was intrigued in this? Still though.. that wasnt quite what had caught Taehyuns eye.. that place where she was last seen.. that complex.. Thats around where Seojun lives isnt it..? No, no, no.. Taehyun, dont go that far. Not every person who does shady stuff and goes on shady websites like Seojun is a murderer, those are two completely different things you cant even somewhat compare them.

Taehyun searched websites all over for more information on this case.. Hmm, turns out this one is actually being kept quite private then? Pfft, who paved those interviewers. But after a while.. Taehyun did end up finding something. It well.. well- it wasnt what he quite wanted to see but.. it was information so whatever..?

UPDATE: Aeri Confirmed Dead

It is with heavy hearts that we report Aeri’s body was discovered late last night. Police confirmed her death was ruled a homicide.

The location of discovery was… unfortunately, exactly where she was last seen: that quiet alley behind the row of empty homes near the club district. It was also found by detectives, and medics who observed Aeris body that it had been quite a neat and well done murder, aside from there being barely any evidence, we can assume the murderer is quite experienced with this matter, and some detectives are currently assuming its a serial killer who had done this.

Several items were also found at the scene. Counting the second sneaker, the same black hoodie she was seen wearing in CCTV(which we ended up getting from a nearby convenience store) footage from the night she disappeared. And most disturbingly: another note was later discovered.

The note itself isnt quite disturbing but the context and what it leads to.. is well, something we prefer not to see on this channel but have to once in a while. But lets shorten this up, here the note-

Dude, it was SO interesting writing the article, though I did have to do quite some research on the colleges in Seoul(If you havent noticed the story does takes place in Seoul) and some areas, like Gangnam, though all the places stated(tho not specific) for example the house complex where Seojun lives, or the street next to the club where Aeri was last seen, are not real(I mean I dont know, I just wrote random places) but it was also extremely annoying how I had to use more *cough cough* sophisticated vocabulary for the article💔

Oh and my fault if for the murder evidence or homicide parts as well as evidence and proof im kinda fucking up and being inaccurate, but you know, I am NOT a detective🙏🏻
