"Yunju? Yunju!" Sunwoo shouted as he knocked hard on Yunju's house.
He has been looking for Yunju since yesterday.
"Where are you." Sunwoo looked everywhere. All the places they always go to.
Sunwoo sent multiple texts to Yunju's number and he didn't receive a single reply from her.
"You've been feeling low today. What's going on?" Doyoon asked during class.
"Nothing." Sunwoo answered.
"Also, something crazy happened last night on my way home. You wouldn't believe this. You know Soomin from the other class? I saw her stab someone on the stomach on the train. FOR REAL." Doyoon said.
"Wait.. Really?"
"Yes."
Sunwoo immediately freaked out and ran out the school.
Every school staff was going after Sunwoo.
Sunwoo wasn't stopped and ran all the way to the hospital.
And found Yunju laying.
Sunwoo kneeled.
"What happened??" Sunwoo asked.
"I'm okay." Yunju answered.
"Be honest. What happened last night?"
"Soomin.. She.. she stabbed me here." Yunju said and pointed to her stomach.
"That.. bitch. Was anyone else on the train?"
"Yes. A guy. He saved me from getting hurt more. But it was my fault too. I wasn't aware of my surroundings. I was wearing earphones. Sorry."
"Why are you apologising to me. You should've just been more.. careful."
Sunwoo waited until Yunju was fine. Fortunately, the wound wasn't too bad.
Sunwoo and Yunju held hands and walked out of the hospital.
"I'm gonna find her." Sunwoo said.
"No haha. It's okay. It's not that deep." Yunju replied.
"Not that deep??? YOU ALMOST DIED." Sunwoo shouted as he held both Yunju's hands.
His gaze held Yunju's. An unspoken question hanging between them in the sudden silence.
Weeks, and Months passed. Sunwoo never saw Soomin again. And so did Yunju.
Sunwoo got closer and closer to Yunju
They slowly developed feelings for each other. But both of them are still unsure.
Their birthdays passed.
The more Sunwoo gets closer to Yunju, The more he gets distant with Doyoon.
There are even days Sunwoo and Doyoon completely ignores each other.
Every day, Every hour, Every minute, Every second. Sunwoo only thinks about Yunju.
The same with Yunju. To the point that they will smile for absolutely no reason suddenly remembering each other. Out of all timelines Sunwoo has passed through. These are times he would probably want to go back to. And don't forget. We are still in Sunwoo's flashback. He is still on the river. Going back, These are the times Sunwoo doesn't clearly recall. He skipped through time when this happened. Technically, he still experienced this. But he can only clearly recall the time he woke up in college and meeting Yunju from Dorm 376.
It was winter season. He finally got the courage to confess to Yunju. He wrote a letter with all his heart.
He was kicking his foot and everything.
"Yunju. We're gonna built this future together." Sunwoo smiled and jumped into his bed.
"Hmm. How would she react. Maybe like Ahh! or.. He's so cute! or just an immediate YES YES YES! worst she can say is no right? Right!! Finally. I found the one." Sunwoo thought about this all night.
