“Why is Era going with the police?!”
Pinky:
“You don’t think... they arrested him too, right?”
Yupi:
“Maybe... It’s possible.”
📍Scene Shift: Police Station
Era sits quietly in a corner of the station. Officer Wolde enters the room.
Wolde:
“I just spoke with my senior. You’ll be taken into custody as well.”
Era:
“Your name is Wolde, right? So tell me, under which law are you arresting me? What crime have I committed? I defended myself from those who attacked me.”
Wolde:
“You beat them badly.”
Era:
“I gave them the punishment their actions deserved.”
Wolde:
“Taking justice into your own hands? That’s not how the law works.”
Era:
“Let the law go take a nap somewhere. You can’t hold me here forever.”
Wolde:
“Are you threatening me?”
Era (smirking):
“Interpret it however you like.”
Wolde (angrily):
“You realize where you are, right? You speak one more word, and you won’t leave here in one piece!”
Era (calmly):
“If I go all out, no one here will walk out alive. And if you manage to kill me... well, even then, this building won't survive. You’ll need a full army to contain what follows.”
Wolde (hesitating):
“...Who are you?”
Era:
“Let’s just say... if you knew, you'd be too scared to stand.”
🚨 Scene Shift: Another Officer Enters
Senior Officer:
“What’s going on here?! Wolde, who authorized this?! I’m the highest authority here.”
Wolde (nervous):
“Sir, I... I thought—”
Era:
“They brought me in without any real reason. Claimed it was senior orders.”
Senior Officer:
“Wolde?! Which ‘senior’ gave you that order?!”
Wolde:
“They beat up my friends, so I... thought—”
Senior Officer:
“You abused your authority to settle a personal score? Do you realize this could cost you your job, not just your position?!”
Wolde (pleading):
“Please sir, just one chance! I’ll never do it again.”
Senior Officer:
“Hmph... Fine. But one more stunt like this and you’re done.”
Era (coldly):
“This wasn’t just a mistake—it was a crime. But fine. I’ll let it go.”
🏫 Scene Shift: Back at IOP School – 11th Grade Class
Era enters the class quietly.
Sir:
“Era! Are you alright?”
Rita (standing):
“Are you okay?! I was really worried—”
Era (deadpan):
“...You were worried?”
Rita (nervous):
“I mean... we all were! Not just me!”
Era (sits):
“I’m fine. They just had a few questions, sorted the confusion, and I left.”
Yupi:
“Well, at least everything’s okay now.”
Sir:
“Come sit down, today’s class hero.”
Era (murmurs):
“Hero...? I’m no hero.”
Lakhan:
“Dude, you fought twenty guys and saved a student and a teacher. You’re more than a hero.”
Era (serious tone):
“Then learn to fight. If I wasn’t there, someone could’ve died before police arrived. Learn to fight—not just for others, but for yourself and those you love.”
Everyone stays silent.
Era returns to his seat as if nothing ever happened.
🏠 Scene Shift: Era’s House
Yumi (his aunt):
“ERA!! You got into a fight at school?!”
Era:
“Huh? How do you know?!”
Yumi:
“Rita called and told me everything! That you fought again! And that the police took you away!”
Era (in his thoughts):
“Rita... When did they become friends? And when did they exchange numbers?!”
Era (aloud):
“Nah, Mami, it was nothing serious. The police just needed a few answers. There was some confusion, that’s all.”
Yumi:
“You’re lying.”
Era:
“Okay, fine... Remember the guys who messed with Taniya? Their gang came after me. I gave them a lesson they’ll never forget.”
Yumi:
“I get that. I’m not saying you shouldn’t fight. But sometimes I really worry about you. You were up against so many guys! You’re just one person.”
Era:
“Mami... I’m strong enough. I won’t go down that easily. Unless they send an entire army with guns, I’m not losing anytime soon.”
Yumi (laughs nervously):
“An army with guns? What kind of enemy would do that to a student like you, hmm?”
Era (calmly):
“You’d be surprised.”
