Akari, who was now standing still, stunned, he couldn't believe what he'd just seen. Sadie, who was just walking with him, suddenly walked into a tree and dissolved into its wood.

"SADIE!" He yelled once, but everything around him was uncomfortably silent. Hoots of owls could be heard, it was almost evening,the shining green forest now turning into red. He looked at the three figures in front of him. Tasunee, Harlen and Haskiel. They were walking without looking back or even caring to move.

"Tasunee! Harlen!" He calls out to them, but none of them moves. They were walking fast, almost out of sight now. Akari was about to go after them but he suddenly felt a warmth under his feet, a really uncomfortable and extreme one. He looked down and almost forgot how to breath. His legs, and everything around him suddenly caught fire.

The red forest was now lit up in dancing flames under the shining gold sunlight.

Before Akari could make a move, the ground tore apart as burnt hands started to climb up all the way to his legs. Akari just couldn't figure out what was happening. He tries to scream, it was the last option anyway, but nothing came out of his throat. Instead, his throat started to feel dry, at one point, it was so dry he could feel his throat bleeding inside.

The hands grabbing his legs got tighter as nails digged inside his legs, but he couldn't feel that because his legs were already burned. Akari was too exhausted to fight for his life at this point. He falls on his knees.

Akari then opens his eyes again, and as he was slowly looking around once again, he realized something, the fire was still lit, he was still inside the flames, but he wasn't feeling the fire,

the fire had burned his legs to nothing, but he couldn't feel the pain anymore.

And before he could think about anything else, a piece of burnt paper flew to him from somewhere, looked like a letter, he couldn't see clearly what was written, because his eyes were blurry with tears,

tears of fear,

he still tried to look at it and read as he gasped, he recognized the handwriting, and the letter started with

"Dear son"

Tasunee and Harlen's eyes were as wide as they could be. Harlen's heartbeat almost stops, he tries to speak but nothing comes out,

he screams

as loudly as he could, tears start to stream down his eyes, he runs to the head that fell, it was... Haskiel's.

looked like half eaten by an animal, the eyes were still open, his green leafy eyes still shining, Harlen didn't touch it, he just started, too shocked to make a move, then, just falls on the ground face first, unconscious,

his nose starts to bleed after the fall, Tasunee was too scared now, she starts to sob silently. she couldn't figure out what to do, then, she feels a presence behind her, someone was there

"My lovely daughter?"

A silent whisper, by a man. Tasunee recognizes the voice, she tries to scream but she was too scared to move, her blood running cold, her limbs freezing up. After a few seconds of standing there, she finally comes back to reality as she runs through the bloody red forest, she didn't know what was happening, she didn't want to know, she just wanted to save herself, and that's not selfish.
