Akari, was now standing still, stunned, he couldn't believe what he'd just seen. Sadie, just walking with him, suddenly walked into a tree and dissolved into its wood.

"SADIE!" He yelled once, but everything around him was uncomfortably silent. There was noises of hoots, it was almost evening, the blue sky is turning red above the green forest.

He looked at the three figures in front of him. Tasunee, Harlen and Haskiel. They were walking without looking back or even making a single human move.

"Tasunee! Harlen!" He calls out to them, but none of them answers They were walking fast, almost out of sight now. Akari was about to go after them but he suddenly felt the ground under his feet tearing apart. Hands rising from beneath and grabbing his legs.

"Ha— A—"

He tries to scream but nothing comes out.  The hands pierce their nails into his flesh and drag him down.

Akari tries to make a noise again but his throat starts bleeding from within, he could taste the blood.

He tries to step away but every movement only makes the pain greater

He closes his eyes almost in defeat, but when he opens them, everything was normal,

He stood there for a few moments, the only noise was the sounds of his breathing, and the fast rhythm of his heartbeat ringing in his ears. his eyes wide sweat dripping

"What—what was that! Was it...was it...my imagination??!! No! No!"

He tries to run away, moves a leg forward and collapses on his knee, his whole body aching. His whining in pain now. One thing he completely misses, is how the trees behind him disappears one by one, and each gets replaced with a furniture until  the forest is gone, and he's left in a house.

A house with letters everywhere, on the sofa on the table on the shelf on the bed and inside every cabinet, they were everywhere, very old and dusty. 

"This...place..."

Police are all around him, searching for something in the house, rumbling through the letters, throwing them aside and finding something, but no one seems to notice him

"T—This has to be some kind of trap! I knew the forest felt wrong"

He looks around the house

"Hey! I know what you're trying to do but you wouldn’t get me no matter how much you try!"

He said to an invisible force

Tasunee and Harlen's eyes were as wide as they could be. Harlen's world was ending

A beat

Silence

he screams

as loudly as he could, tears start to stream down his eyes, he runs to the head.

looked like half eaten by an animal, the eyes were still open, his eyes still had a shine. Harlen tried once but didn't touch it, he just started, too shocked to make a move, then, just falls on the ground face first, unconscious,

his nose starts to bleed at the impact of the fall, Tasunee was too scared now, she starts to sob silently. 

A few moments passes, Tasunee hears a few footsteps passing by

"Is—is anyone there? We n—need help!"

a man walks out of the woods. Tall, traditional and old. 

Tasunee recognizes instantly, her blood running cold, her limbs freezing up. After a few seconds of standing there, she finally comes back to reality as she runs through the forest to wherever her legs led her, she didn't know what was happening, she didn't want to know, she just wanted to save herself, and that's not selfish.
