The rooftop where Jordan and Savaana landed was silent except for the faint hum of distant city lights. Jordan’s fingers still crackled with residual purple electricity, but his mind was racing faster than his powers.
Savaana looked at him, her expression serious, eyes sharp beneath her dark hair. “You need to know more about X.”
Jordan nodded, tension tightening in his chest. “Tell me.”
Savaana took a breath. “X isn’t just some power-hungry maniac looking to conquer a planet or two. He’s building something far bigger. He’s experimenting on people, giving them powers like yours to create an unstoppable army.”
Jordan’s eyes narrowed. “To conquer… the world?”
“No,” she said slowly, her voice dropping lower. “The multiverse.”
Jordan blinked. “Multiverse? What’s that?”
“There are multiple universes,” Savaana explained, stepping closer. “Countless worlds that exist side by side but are slightly different from each other. Different laws of physics, different versions of people, different histories. It’s a vast expanse beyond what most people can even imagine.”
“And X wants to control all of it?” Jordan asked, disbelief sharpening his voice.
“Yes. If he succeeds, he won’t just be a dictator of one world — he’ll be the supreme ruler of all realities.”
Jordan clenched his fists, a spark of fire lighting behind his green eyes. “We have to stop him. We need a hero… like Atomic Man.”
Savaana’s lips twitched in a faint, knowing smile. “Where exactly are we supposed to find the world’s most famous hero?”
Jordan grinned, the playfulness returning to his voice despite the gravity of their mission. “Well, I guess we start by finding my dad.”
Suddenly, the silence was shattered by a mechanical voice booming from the shadows: “Prepare to die.”
From the darkness, a towering robot stepped forward, its glowing red eyes locked onto them like hunter’s lasers. Its metal limbs whirred as it advanced, weapons ready.
Jordan and Savaana exchanged a quick glance — no more talking. It was time to fight.
