We went outside and walked for a bit, then we arrived at a cemetery.
We walked around and passed many tombstones until we found two specific ones, next to each other, with incense candles in between them. On the left tombstone, it says: Sayaka Shirogami - 1990 - 2030, that was my mother. And on the right tombstone, it says: Masaki Shirogami - 1988- 2030, which was my dad.
Both of them died 10 years ago, when I was 12 and when May was 8.
I light up each incense candle with a lighter in my pocket. I handed May two bouquets of flowers as she looked down.
“I can’t believe it's already been 5 years since they died…" She said as tears was building up in her eyes.
"mom, dad, I miss your voices, your hugs, and I also even miss your scolding… I wish I had said ‘I love you’ more. I hope you're at peace, Mom, Dad.” She placed the flowers gently on each of our parents' tombstones.
May cried silently as I watched her grieve over our dead parents.
“I… miss them so much…” she said while crying, the tears streaming down her cheeks and her face red with sadness.
“Yeah, I know.”
I put my hands in my pockets. Looking at the two tombstones, I waited. I felt no sadness or pity for May. I guess it’s just because I'm a cyborg, but I don't care about her, or anyone, not anymore.
We stayed in the cemetery for minutes longer until May’s tears had dried up.
It was time to go back home. Yuki probably finished cooking dinner. So we went back home to eat.
It was raining heavily now, the rain splashed onto the ground, leaving small puddles, and the sounds of the rain filled my robotic eardrums.
We arrived back home in my apartment, where Yuki had just finished cooking dinner.
“Your guys are back? You guys visited your parents' grave, right?” she said as she was setting up the plates.
“Yeah, we did.”
May simply nodded quietly. Yuki looked concerned for May while I stood there, not caring about anything right now.
We ate the food, but I couldn’t taste anything; my tongue was replaced by a robotic one, so I had no taste buds. I also couldn’t smell anything, so I had to pretend to like the taste and smell of the food. When I looked up to look at Yuki and May, I hallucinated my dad and mom right next to them.
“...”
“Are you okay, Rei?”
“Huh? Yeah, I'm okay, just thinking about something.”
This stuff looks just like Mom's cooking… I thought to myself.
And Yuki is just like Mom. So bright and powerful, it’s like Yuki’s brightness could never be beaten. Even though I could never taste her cooking, it definitely looked like Mom's.
May yawned a little when we were eating, and got up from her seat.
"I'm going to sleep, I'm not hungry anyways..." She said as she went upstairs to her room.

The next day, I got out of bed and was greeted by Yuki.
“Good morning, Rei.”
“Morning.”
Then I heard May wake up. I remembered she had school today, so I cooked her eggs and bacon.
I heard her coming downstairs after a few minutes, and at the same time, I was done cooking.
“Looks burnt, you idiot.” May always insulted me a little, but for some reason, it lacked the usual energy.
“No, it doesn’t. And it’s also 8 o'clock by the way, you need to eat fast, school starts at 8:30.”
“I know.”
She ate the breakfast but she didn't finish it. Like always.
After she was done eating, I packed up her school supplies and her lunch.
“Okay, be good at school and don’t get in fights.”
“I know that,” she started to slowly get her bratty personality back, forgetting about how she cried yesterday.
Then I heard Yuki come downstairs too. She just did her morning routine: taking 30 minutes to do her makeup, taking 10 minutes to pick out her clothes, taking 20 minutes to do her hair, and also, she takes another 20 minutes to take a shower.
“You take forever to do your morning routine. And isn’t it a waste of water to take a shower for 20 minutes?”
“Oh, be quiet, Rei, it's necessary. You don't understand girls, obviously.” She sighed at me.
“Whatever. Can you take May to school?”
“Fine, sure.”
Yuki left with May, they went to Yuki’s car and drove off Now I am left all alone in the apartment.
It was quiet and peaceful. Now I need to train. I still haven’t mastered my robotic abilities yet, and I have no idea how many I have. I have only used my strength. I probably have lasers and all that type of stuff in my arsenal.
But I didn't want to destroy my property, so I flew to a mountain, and yes, I can fly. I flew 1,000 kilometers in just 10 minutes. Landing on the mountain, I looked around. It was the perfect place to train my abilities.
First, I opened my hand, and there was a blue circle in the middle of my palm. And I focused my energy on my palm.
There were little sparks and finally, a large beam of light, sky blue energy shot, blasting the ground beneath it, creating massive shockwaves that felt like lightning, and making that blast could probably vaporize a large building easily.
The light sky blue blast destroyed 1/10th of the mountain. The mountain was also 3,000 meters in height and 1,000 meters in width.
“Whoa, that was powerful. I should try more to get the hang of it because one try isn’t going to cut it,” I said.
And so, I blasted parts of the mountain away, destroying half of its height. I also learned how to reduce the blast's power.
You just relax your body and let go of your thoughts. You need to calm you body down to the point where your atoms won't vibrate anymore, then you shoot out a concentrated beam.
You also need to calm your heart–or, in my case, a half-robotic heart.
I learned that my heart doesn’t pump out blood, but electricity, well, not fully electricity, about 50% of my blood is electric. I can reduce the electricity being used by me so I can shoot out very small blasts.
The reduced power of the blue energy blast destroyed a large boulder. But It was still way too powerful for me to use on a human, so I tried to reduce my power electricity even more, or if that’s even possible.
I don’t have a charging port, by the way, I absorb electricity, absorbing electricity from those power lines, only a little though. But even a little electricity can fuel me up to 90 percent power, like 50 joules.
But I still needed to train more. If I can't control my power, who knows what I could do to a human?
