Divya's POV

I am not understanding what's happening with me these days, I never cared for anyone but here I am, putting my coffee on Mariam's desk, as I guessed I had spoiled her mood of coffee making or may be I wanted her to taste the coffee made by me.

I even started the fight on my own, she was standing across the coffee machine away from me and was not even uttering a word, silently watching me make my coffee, why would she not talk to me? I was being impatient, her silence was killing me. Why would I want her to talk to me? I don't like interacting with unknown people, or making new friends, the ones who approached me have always been rejected then why this one girls' not talking to me burns my heart? I don't know, and I also don't know how to interact with her thus always end up saying something hurtful, that I regret later.

I was thinking about all these things while keeping an eye on her , She came back to her desk without having coffee as expected, but what I didn't expect was she would actually like my coffee, at first she looked at the coffee with doubt, eventually taking it on her hand looked here and there, finally settling her eyes on Sanjeet she smiled and started taking the coffee.

The moment my coffee touched her lips, her face glowed with pleasure and all my thoughts disappeared and watching her drink coffee became the most beautiful view in my eyes. I lost sense of time and place, just stared her cute little expressions of joy with every sip. The way her lips touched and untouched the rim of the coffee up looked so alluring that I kept replaying that image inside my head even after she finished drinking.

After a few more minutes I came back to reality and smaked my head in the desk, damn what's was I doing? Who looks at a girls lip like that? Am i getting insane or what? This girl surely has weird ways of making people her puppet, I must stay away from her, "I need to get back on my work otherwise dad will kill me for not finishing my work at time", thinking this she resumed her work as well.

Mariams P.O.V

After drinking the coffee my headache totally disappeared and I could actually think and work again. I was greatful to Sanjeet for the coffee. Though I am having a doubt whether it was even from Sanjeet or not, if it was not Sanjeet then who? I don't even have someone close to me in this office who will think this much for me. She also remembered about the mystery man buying her sister the dance clothes. Then again she thought lets keep these aside for now, we can dewl on these when we reach home. Thinking this she again started working.

It was 4 in the afternoon. Everyone in the office was working peacefully except one person that's Divya, her mental peace is disturbed due to some unknown reason and now she is struggling doing the things that she normally does effortlessly, which was making her angry.

Upon being called in Sanjeets cabin she didn't go previously thus she goes now into his cabin without knock and bursts out on Sanjeet saying,"Can you not keep calling me into your cabin all the time? I have a lot of work load you know, If I had finished my work I would have come myself, so why are you dying to see me ha?" Sanjeet was dumbfounded as Mariam was also present on the cabin, which may have been unnoticed by miss angry young woman. But in front of most of the employees Divya is also just a regular employee. Thus being scolded by a employee is so embracing.

Sanjeet said, " What are you saying Divya, I was calling you for work only, and is this a way you talk to your boss? what will other employees learn from you?

Divya still in anger," What other emp---" and her words got stuck inside her throat as she saw Mariam standing behind her holding files in her hand. carppp, this was also necessary today? thinking this she faced Sanjeet and said with lowered voice," I am sorry boss, what have you called me for? Then they talked about work and how she is lagging in showing any work today, Divya said," I was having some problem but don't worry, no matter how long it takes I will finish it today" saying which she left.

Mariam also left after showing her work to Sanjeet. She had finished her work so Sanjeet assigned her some more work, so that he will get to watch her again. She started working slowly and thinking about the events which unfolded in front of her eyes.

If not she already hated Divya, now she found way more reasons to hate her. The way that girl talked with Sanjeet made her angry and Sanjeets embarrassed face made her pity on him, she must have dated and got intimate with Sanjeet too or else how would she have the audacity to talk to their boss like that? She felt disgusted thinking how cheap she was. And her rudeness is on another level. At first she thought Divya is only rude with her because she is not rich but now she understands that she is rude to everyone. How can this girl manage to irritate her to her core?

She was thinking hard like this thus she didn't even remember she was again assigned with some task until one of their colleague(Akansh who also has a tiny crush on Mariam) tapped her shoulder saying," Oye Mariam where are you lost? Haven't you finished todays work? its already office closing time. " with that she came back to the world of living and started looking at her work while cursing herself as she haven't done anything, what will she say to Sanjeet? Meanwhile, Sanjeet calles her into his cabin.

Mariam enters his cabin hanging her head low as she don't even have an explanation why she couldn't finish her work.

Sanjeet- Mariam, its almost closing time, where is your work?

Mariam- I haven't finished it yet, i need some more time

Sanjeet was already angry today due to Divya's behaviour with him, and it got released on Mariam he scholded mariam for not doing her work at time, and gave her punishment of not going home until she finishes her work, he also added some more work as punishment. This time Mariam didn't say anything back as it was her fault and accepted the punishment mentally balming it on Divya.

Everyone left the office including Sanjeet, excet Divya and Mariam. They were working on their own desks. Mariam finishes her work by 6.30 and was about to leave, when her eyes landed on Divya still working with stress lines on her forehead, Mariam mentally becomes happy watching her in stress and says in low voice, serves you right", after which she left.

But upon going downstairs she finds no guards and the main gate is locked, Mariam screams on top of her lungs, but its on no vail, then she calls Sanjeet to inform about the incident and Sanjeet says," the gatekeeper must have forgotten and left, I am calling him, you go back to office and wait, when he reaches he will call you. Finding no way she again goes back to office.

Reaching office she gets shocked with the view in front, Divya's formal coat was removed, she was wearing a white lilen button down, sleeves of which were folded to her elbows, 3 top buttons were opened now giving a glimps of her blossom, also her ponytail was let loose now, she is taming her loose hairs with the help of her fingers and staring on the ceiling now with dilemma filled eyes. She thought her eyes convey a lot more than her mouth, Divya was looking gorgeous. Mariam never focused on her features before, upon close examination she was mesmerized with her beauty. Boys don't get crazy over her for nothing.

Just the moment this line came in her mind it got clouded with bitterness of hatred from before. And she avarts her eyes while taking small steps inside the office.

Divya suddenly gets alert and looks towars her and stands up abruptly while taking her coat and sliding it over her shoulders saying shyly ," Uh umm I thought I saw you leaving the office and being alone I thought I don't have to be formal anymore, but why are you back here?

Mariam was again shocked watching her fumble and be shy, it was like she is watching a new Divya. She stoped her thinking and said," the stupid guard already left the office locking the main gate, now I have to wait until he comes back here".

Divya says," oh" with silde disappointment, as if she was expecting some other answer from me. Again why would I care whatever she expects or not.

After that Divya went to her seat and started working, and Mariam also sat on a desk close to Divya's, as being alone in the whole office was now making her afraid so she didn't want to seat far from the only person present in this large room. Also all the lights were turned off as it was not office hour, divya was working with her table lamp and laptops light. It was getting dark outside all well.

After half an hour Divya also finished her work and came to Mariam and asked," Let's have some coffee and snacks, I am totally hungry, you must be hungry too, right?"

Today was Mariams getting one after one shock kinda day, The rude arrogant Divya talking to her this nicely and asking for coffee is not something she even thought on her wildest dreams. She somehow managed herself and said," Yeah, lets go".
