The hospital corridor was silent except for the faint beeping of machines from nearby rooms. Officer Dhruv stood leaning against the wall, scrolling absentmindedly through his phone.
A sharp ping broke the stillness.
He glanced at the screen.
His eyes widened slightly. What…?
"I’ve to tell this to Officer Advait right now!" he muttered under his breath.
Without wasting a second, Dhruv hurried down the corridor. He found Advait standing near Nari’s room, arms crossed, his gaze fixed on the closed door.
"Huh? Yes, what happened?!" Advait asked, sensing urgency in Dhruv’s footsteps.
Huffing, Dhruv replied between breaths, "The autopsy report of the man just came in… Cause of death—unclear."
Advait’s brows knitted. "What? Unclear? There’s no sign of struggle, no wounds?"
Dhruv shook his head. "No external injuries. No poison detected so far. It’s like he just… died."
Advait exhaled sharply, frustration creeping into his tone. "That makes no sense. The kid was terrified, the woman was tied up, and that man just died!!!"
Dhruv’s voice dropped slightly. "We won’t know anything for sure until the woman wakes up."

Some time later, a black car pulled into the hospital’s parking lot. Inside, Rudra sat motionless, fingers lightly tapping the steering wheel.
The cops must be inside… I need to be careful, he thought, eyes scanning the entrance.
