Nobishino replied, "You've been crushing it lately! Proud of you."

"Thank you. She called me and asked me what I wanted for dinner. I wanted borscht and shashlyk." 

"Nobishino stopped at a 7-Eleven. "You should put sour cream in your borscht; it's good."

"No, siree. I don't do sour cream." Yosh walked in the store to get him and Kwesi a Slurpee and some snacks. "I didn't know which slushy you wanted, Kwes. I've got us both apple."

"Thank you," Kwesi replied. "I like any flavour of Slurpee. You gotta try the cubano melt."

"I don't like mustard, Kwesi. I do want a hot dog." He came out with 3 hot dogs. 

Kwesi started playing Pokemon Too Many Types on his phone. "I ran into an Altaria!" he exclaimed while eating his meat on a bun. "Got any mustard?"

Yosh slid him a pack. "Know how much you like mustard."

Kwes squeezed the yellow condiment on his dog and ate it slowly. "So, you have distant Russian ancestry? Can you speak Russian?"

"My gran wanted to teach me, but she never did. I'm still waiting." Yoshida ate his plain sausages on buns. He bit into one of them. "Needs chili and cheese -- too bad they don't have any."

"Kwesi, I'm gonna work on getting you an allowance," Lucy announced. "It was nice of your brother to buy you something."

"I want an allowance." Kwes wiped some mustard of his mouth. 

"We'll start you off with 20¥." Lucy went inside to go get herself a salad. "I now find myself a blackcurrant-bacon salad. I should get my hubby one as well." She picked up 2.

Nobushino put some ranch on his salad. "I really wanted a cubano melt, but okay. This is fine." He stabbed a tomato with his plastic fork.

Yoshida ate his second dog and sighed in relief. "When I show her my good grades, she gives me money. That's how she always did."

Kwesi chimed in, "She gave me 10 yen for each good grade; I failed math though. Math is kicking me in the pants! I should probably go to tutoring."

Lucy said unto Kwes, "You should. I'm pairing up with one on Monday. Before you say anything, I'm pairing you up with someone who's old and ugly."

"Come on!" Kwesi sighed. "I want a beautiful woman to tutor me."

"Forget it -- you don't need to be blinded." Lucy ate the last of her salad. "The ingredients were fresh. The blackcurrants were the star of the show!"

Kwesi groaned, "Come on..."

Yoshida ate the last of his sausages on buns. He then sipped his Slurpee. "I remember my first tutor; she was old and ugly!"

Kwes sighed and ate the last of his hot dog.

They arrived at Grammy's house, a white-and-blue house. Yoshida and Kwesi raced out the car, their report cards in hand. "Grandma Svetlana!" they exclaimed.

She saw the papers. "Hmmm... Lemme get my purse." 

Yosh whispered to his brother, "Can't wait to get that yen!"

Kwes replied, "I know. I just need to work on math though."

Svetlana gave Yoshida 70¥ and gave Kwesi 60¥. "Enjoy! I have a spread of Russian cuisine for us all. We're gonna have beet borscht, sausage rolls, shashlyk, dressed herring, and chocolate pirozhki."

"You make the best borscht!" Yoshida exclaimed. He quieted down. "So, where's grandad?"

Svetlana answered, "He's in the back doing shashlyk."

Kwesi sat down on a red couch. "So, my grandad is Japanese, and my grandma is Russian. Interesting..."

Grandpa Noshino walked in, pan full of meat kebabs. "We have lamb shashlyk!"

Grandma went to go finish the rest of the food. "I should add bacon in my borscht." She started cutting the bacon and put some in the beet soup.

"Bacon sounds like a good add-in." Yosh cut on the TV; a K-drama was airing. "Haven't seen this K-drama before, and I watched two of them."

Kwes sat down. "What's a K-drama?"

"Korean drama," his big bro answered. "They're entertaining."

Kwesi asked his father, "You gonna sign me up for MMA?"

"I might," his adoptive dad replied. "You might be able to pull it off."

Fifty minutes later, dinner arrived. Yoshida asked, "Can someone pass the shashlyk please?"

Gramps passed the skewered meat to him. "I thought about doing a Youtube career, but there are too many words you're not allowed to use! It's stupefying!"

Yosh replied, "People are too soft, Grandpa, which is one of two reasons why I can't be a comedian. The other is I can't make my own jokes." He tore a piece of meat of the skewer with his mouth. "Juicy!"

Nobishino ate some of his beet soup. "Got any sour cream?"

"Yes." Svetlana handed her son-in-law the white cream. Nobushino put some in his soup. "This is gonna be good!"

Yoshida sighed in relief. "You know, it's kinda cool how you have metal skewers. My mom has wooden skewers."

Ayumu texted Yosh, "Hullo? Hope you're doing well today."

"I am. I'm at Grandma's house, eating dinner." Yo ate some more of his shashlyk. "So, when's your next fight?"

"Soon. Next weekend, to be exact," Ayu texted back. 

"I'll be watching. I'm also gonna try to get on Rizin. Maybe we'll fight each other one day... Anyway, I gotta go; my gran wants me to hang up and eat."

"Okay, bye." Ayumu hung up. "I want to adopt a child."
