The next day, Huang couldn't find Jinhai anywhere. He'd even searched every corner of the house. Nothing. Even when he arrived at school, he was still looking for Jinhai. Where is he? He thought.
"Still looking for Jinhai?" Muyang played with his hair. Huang didn't hear him, still busy searching for Jinhai.

Huang stopped, still as still as stone. Muyang grinned, but a pang of worry welled up in his chest. In front of them was Jinhai, exchanging words with Jun. He seemed to be scolding Jun for his actions.
"Sorry... Ah, Huang!" Jun tried to wriggle out of the situation, brazenly. Huang hesitated, afraid his suspicions were wrong.

The afternoon wind was strong, messing up Huang’s hair, annoyed with his own.

Huang hiccuped, his eyebrows dilated. All his memories came flooding back. From the first time he met Jinhai in first grade, becoming close friends because they both loved math, often studying together, to his last memory of seeing Jinhai worried after being hit by a truck. His breathing was erratic, his body weakened, and his legs slowly gave out, and he fell. Jinhai panicked, trying to calm Huang down, as did Muyang. The teachers tried to help and called the hospital. Huang's lips parted slightly, as if he wanted to say something.
