Charley's P.O.V.
The Bin's Third Estate, Sang-ook's Home Office
I stared at the camera in Sang-ook's office. Gabi was angry. Just like I expected. That means that she and Sang-ook had something going on. My lips smirked as I saw Sang-ook and her argue as his father shook his head and left.
It seems that she released something from him after trying to shock me. I scoffed. That woman really thought she was doing something by saying, “Hey Charley.” I rolled my eyes before looking back at the screen. At least she is getting repercussions for her actions.
The anger he always hid from her. She wanted to make herself known, but got something she didn't expect. I get it, but you could have done that a lot earlier. To do it while he was hanging up shows that a part of you had been afraid, Gabi.
I folded my legs as I watched. It seems that he is experiencing the consequences of his actions. Sang-ook walked over to his phone and typed. There was no doubt he had been calling me back to have her ‘’apologize.
My phone rang. I picked up the phone and answered it. “Sang-ook, I would ask who that was, but there is no doubt that it is Gabi. Am I right?” Gabi looked at Sang-ook.
“She knows about me?” She asked.
“The interview with the media-”
“Yes, I know about you, Gabi. Anyway, it's nice to meet you. I am Charley Wolffe, Sang-ook's fiancé, and you are Gabriel Lyons, Sang-ook’s friend, right?” I zoomed the camera closer to her face. That look of hurt on her face. She doesn't want to be known only as his friend.
“Yes, I am his friend.” I zoomed in on Sang-ook's face only for my smirk to drop. He has a similar expression. So it seems that he did have feelings for her as well.
I felt my brows knit. Was I imagining him being in love with me? When we met in the garden, he did mention having feelings for someone, almost as if he had been feeling it at that current moment. Was it Gabi? If so, then I am no less of an idiot to stay, but- A part of me feels as though I'm hurting.
Why?

I stared at my phone. I don't know what Charley may say or do. I just know that she has something on her mind, and I have to be ready for anything. “Have you two ever had sex with each other?” She asked. My eyes widened.
“N- no,” Gabi said.
“Charley, what the hell are you doing?” I asked.
“Calm down, I'm just checking. Anyway, that's good to know. So, Gabi, I shouldn't be expecting any surprise messages or anything, right? Not even a surprise child?” She asked. Gabi's brows knitted.
“No, but who the hell are you-” Charley interrupted her.
“Your best friend's fiancé, and what about you? What do you want to be in Sang-ook's life? His friend or the fiancée?”
“Charley I-” Before Gabi could finish, I spoke.
“Charley, I have to go. I will see you later.” I hung up the phone. I knew what Charley was doing, but I also knew what Gabi was about to do. I know Charley is going to be angry with me. There is no doubt she is, but I don't want to make this problem as big as it is.
My phone began to ring. I sighed before I grabbed my keys and my wallet. “Where the hell are you going?!” Gabi asked.
“To the store to buy something for Charley.”
“Oh, so expensive gifts-”
“No, it's not that. I just hung up the phone on my fiancé. When I get back home, she is going to try to kill me, so I am getting something for her to make my punishment less worse than what she currently has planned. I also have to get something for my in-laws. It would be our first time meeting in a more proper manner, and I don't want to leave a bad impression.”

The Bin's Third Estate, The Living Room, An Hour Later
I tapped my foot as my parents, Cher, and Janie swapped stories. I can't believe Sang-ook hung up on me. And for what? To save face? No, he wanted his lover to be happy. There is no doubt that is what they are. Lovers-
I heard the front door open from the hallway. “Sang-ook's home!” I said cheerfully. Janie chuckled.
“It seems like you are excited to see your fiancé,” she said.
“Of course I am.” I stood up and slid on my slippers before making my way to the foyer. My eyes caught Sang-ook handing his jacket to one of the maids. My eyes pierced him. As I made my way closer to him, I noticed in his hands a medium-sized red box and five gift bags. He noticed me and pulled to the box in front of him.
He's giving ‘I'm sorry’ gifts?
Give that to
your lover!
I leaned against the wall. “You hang up on your fiancé and in return bring a gift? We could have talked all of this out,” I said as I folded my arms.
“Hanging up on you at that moment when we were on the phone was completely irresponsible and inconsiderate of me. I will do better.” He said before he tried to hand me the box. I shook my head.
“Give that to Gabi,” I said, before walking into the living room.
“I apologize for my lateness,” Sang-ook said, standing next to me. He signaled a maid who came over. He handed her the red box.
“Sang-ook, how about we all have a conversation with everyone,” I said and held his arm close to me. A smile came to my face while a fake ass blush came to his.
“Okay,” he said before leading me toward the couch. We sat down and looked at everyone.
“I heard you two met at the ball,” my father said.
“Yes, I noticed her the moment she walked inside.”
Of course he did.
was his target.
“Would you call it love at first sight?” Cher asked.
“More than that. It was almost like meeting someone with whom you connected in every way possible the second you laid eyes on them, and yet you couldn't tell them. Yet every day, they were on your mind and soul. So you find every way to talk to her. Yet, not being able to talk to the woman I love, hear her voice, or even tell her how much I wanted to see her every day for the rest of my life nearly killed me inside. When we saw each other again, I made every opportunity to talk to her. This time, hoping not to lose her again, ” Sang-ook answered.
Bullshit
"Aw, honey, that's so sweet," I said as I touched his cheek and smiled.
“That's nice to hear,” my mother said.
“Before that day, have you ever thought you could have been with anyone else like you were with Charley?” My father asked.
Gabi or Mina
“At the time, no. It felt like nothing worked out, and people moved on. I wanted to find love, and who knew that when I finally accepted that I wanted to fall in love again, I would see Charley.”

Nine Thirty P.M.
I looked at the sleeping woman as she laid on my shoulder. The nurse did say that her medicine would make her sleepy. She has to eat, though. I looked in the direction of the kitchen before looking back at Charley. She can always eat later. If anything, she needs her rest. “It seems Charley is tired out.” Charley's mother said. I looked at her.
“She is,” I agreed.
“We are going to call it a night. In the meantime, keep us updated, okay?” Charley's father said before standing up. Charley's mother joined.
“I definitely will,” I responded.
“Make sure she eats as well,” Cher said as she stood.
“I will,” I responded.
“Oh, and Sang-ook, it is nice getting to know you today. Honestly, Charley has been through a lot, and we only want the best for her.” Janie said before standing up.
“It was nice getting to know you all as well. Not just that, but I can't help but thank you all for being here for Charley. It's nice to meet caring and loving people who can provide the best for her.” They smiled before leaving.
I picked up Charley and carried her to her room. I laid her on her bed and looked around for her bonnet. Once I found it, I placed it on her and placed her under her blanket before leaving.

Sang-ook’s Bedroom, 3 am
I stared at the sleeping man with a pillow in my grip. I couldn't do anything at the hospital, but I can do it now. Why? Because he made me look like a fucking idiot! I covered Sang-ook’s face with the pillow and applied pressure. He immediately woke up and began to struggle. I climbed on top of him and applied more pressure.
Much to my luck, he used his free hands and wrapped them around my waist before pulling me close to him. I gasped in shock and let go of the pillow. He slammed me on his bed and pinned my arms on both sides. His expression was furious. I matched his expression of anger.
Sang-ook's P.O.V.
“I thought the two of us were finally done trying to kill each other, but you just tried to kill me in my sleep. What the hell is wrong with you?! What was it? Was it because of Gabi? Was it the hospital thing? Was it the fact that originally I was supposed to kill you? You want to get married, but you are still trying to kill me? Why?”
I stared into her eyes to see if I could read something, but instead I saw that they were glossy. She tried to hide it with anger, but doing that made everything worse for her. My eyes looked past her, forming tears, and instead at her entire face once again to finally see what I had missed.
Her face was covered in bandages, and her lip with stitches. She has been through so much already, especially in the past week since we met. I can see it now. From going into anaphylactic shock to getting into a fight with her cousin, who admitted to sleeping with her ex-fiance and seeing the ‘proof’. Not to mention the fact that I tried to kill her twice already. She had to stay in the hospital once again and also deal with Gabi.
I am no different from the people who hurt her. Most of the reason why she was like this was because of me. I focused more on a job and pride instead of the woman who I cared about in front of me. Charley has been dealing with so much. The events of today, though, that is what likely made her crack.
I let go of one of her hands and touched her cheek. “I apologize, Charley, for everything I put you through and all that you have been through.” Her tears slid down her eyes and past her cheeks. Her now heavy breathing was shaky. There was no doubt she was still angry, but she was letting it out in a different way.
You do not deserve these bad events
That has happened to you.
Nothing at all.
