The Hotel of Dawn

We stared at the woman, who held a smirk on her face. I felt nervous as she looked to be in thought. Riddles always came easy to me, but after seeing her face, I wonder just how simple these riddles may be. She looked at Alonso and then at me.

Does she have a crush on him as well? If so, this riddle should be easy. She looked at me too, but that may not mean much.

“It is implemented retroactively, but not attractively. However, it is earnestness, but to others, it may be in service. It is often given in a story as a prize to a hero or sometimes a heroine. This riddle is not false, in fact, it is the opposite. But this action is one to last a lifetime.”

She walked behind the counter.

“I will give you two some time to figure it out.” She walked in the back. I looked at Alonso.

“Thinking about looking at other hotels now?” He asked. I shook my head.

“No, in fact, I think the riddle is simpler than I thought.” He arched his brow.

“Come on, at least try to think of an answer.” I finished.

“I think I know the answer, but I want to see how long it will take you to figure it out.” My eyes widened.

“What?! It has barely been two minutes,” I said.

“But the answer is simple. You said it yourself.” He teased.

“Alonso” He looked into my eyes.

“Do you need a hint?” I nodded.

“If you were to ever fall in love with someone, it is an action you would do. Especially in a book of the romance genre.”

“Kiss?” I questioned.

“But what type of kiss?” He asked.

I do not know.

I felt my brows furrow. He is enjoying this. He must be.

“I will give you another hint. You feel this for someone you are dating or married to.”

“Love?” He nodded. I went into thought. “Love....kiss...” A bright smile came to my face. My eyes look back into his. “True Love's Kiss!”

“That’s right!”

We jumped as the orange-haired woman appeared beside us.

“True Love’s Kiss is the right answer. Now, in return, you two will receive the lover's suite.”

Our jaws nearly dropped at her words.

Claire’s P.O.V

Four Hours Later

I stared at the ship with glee as I completed the final touches. I finally finished everything! Well, except for adding autopilot and the finishing touches for the defense. Now all that is left is to check on Alonso and Kari. If they did not find a room by now, then we could sleep on the ship, this time in comfort. I turned around and looked ahead to see Kari and Alonso with containers of food in their hands.

Well, that made everything easier. I smiled at them.

“We have beds and a full kitchen!” I yelled to them. When the two came up to me, I noticed that they seemed out of it.

Wow, did I miss something?

“What happened to you two?” I asked.

“We got a hotel room,” Alonso said.

“But?” I questioned

“It’s the lover's suite.” I chuckled.

“That must be fun. Let me guess, there is only one bed?” I asked. They nodded.

“Well, have fun,” I said before trying to go onto the ship. Kari took my hand.

“No, you will be joining us after all the searching we did." She said,

"And after we answered that riddle.” Alonso finished.

I felt my cheeks redden.

“W- What do you mean by that?” I asked.

“What Kari is saying is that you are sharing that bed with us,” Alonso said.

I couldn't believe my ears!

Those two want to be squished up in one bed so we can all suffer!

“The bed is big enough for us,” Kari said.

“There is a reason that the bed is so large and it is not because it wants to fit three people. “I said. Kari raised her eyebrows at Alonso.

"It had been worth it after an hour of trying to answer riddles and finding a place to eat." Kari said. Alsonso raised his brow at Kari..

"I stopped after the fourth one because we would have received a smaller room. There was no use in answering anymore.”

Those two must have had a tough time.

I mean, look at them, they are glaring at each other.

“Fine” I took the keys out of my pocket and pressed the button to close the ship's door. The three of us made our way to the hotel.

“So the search before that was a total bust?” I asked.

“You guessed it,” Alonso responded.
