Damien slammed on the breaks, as he whipped his around.

He gritted his teeth, "Say that shit again?"

Mitch smirked nastily. "You heard exactly what I said. If I hadn't stopped you, you would have tried to mate him."

Damien's face twisted with disgust. "I don't believe you. I would never-"

"Have sex with a man?" Mitch asked, cutting him off. "Hate to say it brother, but that might not be the case. You went full alpha on me and Becky tonight. That's why she slapped you and haven't been answering your calls. I mean you publically tried to mate and claim her friend in front of the whole pack. The only time a wolf does that is when they meet their fated-"

"Shut the fuck up," Damien shouted as he banged his fist on the steering wheel. "It was a mistake. It must have been his phermones. They are fucking devils work!"

Mitch turned incredilously at his brothers words. "Are you fucking serious? Your room smells like a Vanilla museum. Don't you find it weird it matchs his phermones?"

Damien ignored his brothers, as he put the car back into gear and sped home. He was confused. What the fuck had his wolf been thinking? Becky couldn't blame him for this; he obviously wasn't in full control at the time. However, he knew telling her that wouldn't roll over right. She had never seen him lose control whenever he shifted. Damien gripped the steering wheel, troubled by his thoughts.

Two weeks later*

Hinata gripped his bookbag, uncomfortable as he approached Rebecca's jeep.

His usually cheerful and welcoming friend was now, withdrawn and spoke to him dryly.

After discussing everything with his parents, Jin had asked Alpha Kenneth to drop him off to school himself, but he had denied the request.

The only good thing lately was-

"Morning," Mitch said, grinning as Hinata climbed in beside him.

"Good morning," Hinata said shyly, blushing.

Damien grunted annoyed, as he stared out the window. Rebecca simply gave a slight nod as she turned the music up and began the drive to school.

Hinata was unsure why his friend has been acting cold with him, but felt the need to try and talk to her.

"Good morning Rebecca!" he said cheerfully. "I tried calling you this weekend to join us for game day. My papa was sad you weren't able to make it."

Rebecca flickered her eyes to the mirror, before giving a soft smile. "Sorry, been busy."

Hinata nodded his head, sadly, feeling she was making a lame excuse.

"Why didn't I get an invite?" Mitch mumured, with a fake pout.

Hinata blushed. "It was family only."

"I mean technically my cousin lives with you guys, doesn't that make us family?" he asked with a smirk.

Damien snarled in the front seat, annoyed. "Shut the fuck up. Were not related because of that dipshit."

"What do you mean? Jeff's son is our second cousin," Mitch smiled, eyes still focused on Hinata.

Ahem."N-next time I'll ask my papa if you can come," he said shyly.

Mitchs grinned, as he threw his arm around his neck. "Now that's more like it."

Rebecca pulled into the parking lot of the school, parking as everyone hopped out. 

"Hinata! Hinata!" 

The annoying voice calling his name caused him to cringe. There stood the stereotypical blond hair, blue eyed, big boobed bimbo as she rushed over to him with a few other girls from the cheerleading squad behind her. "Didn't you hear me calling you silly?" she giggled, twirling her hair around her finger as she stared between the two attractive males.

Rebecca growled, standing in front of Damien.

Alicia laughed it off, waving her hand in her face. "Don't forget we have practice today ok? And our first game is tomorrow night so eat light! You don't want to look like a cow being thrown in the air," she said, causing the girls behind her to giggle. 

Rebecca crossed her arms, speaking in a matching tone as her. "Well it's a good thing your at the bottom of the pyramid isn't it sweety?"

Mitch snorted, with his arm still casually thrown over Hinata's shoulder.

Alicia's face flushed red, as she took a step forward. "You bitc-"

"I-I'll be sure to eat light today. I'll be to practice on time too. My last class is gym, so I'll take a shower and change as soon as it's finished."

Alicia huffed, throwing her hair over her shoulder as she sized Rebecca up coldly. "Yes please do. We need to make sure practice is perfect for tomorrows game. We don't want to have a sloppy appearance, unlike some other people," she said, staring at Rebecca pointedly.

Rebecca scowled. "Then it may be a little too late for you honey!"

Alicia screamed outraged, as she attempted to slap the brunette.

Damien gripped her arm, holding it tight enough to show he meant business. "Let's calm down- no need for a cat fight. You said what you needed to say, please just walk away."

Alicia shuddered, a feeling a desire coursing threw her. "Ok! I'll be cheering for you tomorrow," she said running her other finger down his chest.

Rebecca gripped it, throwing her hand away from his chest. She snarled, eyes flashing amber.

Alicia laughed, smirking as she walked away with her friends.

Rebecca shoved Damiens chest with a nasty scowl, as she walked away. 

Damien sighed rubbing his hand through his hair, aggravated.

Mitch obnoxiously laughed, as Hinata chose to remain silent, not wanting any drama.

Damien merely gave his brother the finger, chasing after his girlfriend. He was still in the doghouse. He had been walking on eggshells around her lately to get back on her good side. He had even been keeping his distance from the twink per his fathers demands and so he wouldn't make Rebecca uncomfortable. So he didn't even understand why she was still so pissed. 'Maybe she's on her period?' he thought to himself. 

Mitch chuckled, as he started walking in the direction of Hinata's classes. This had been their new routine the last two weeks, and school life had became a bit more bearable.

"So, is she always a bitch like that?"

"Rebecca isn't usually like that," Hinata mumbled.

Mitch roared with laughter, leaning even more into his side.

"I meant the blonde chick."

Hinata's face flushed red, embarassed. 

Mitch chuckled, flicking his nose. "Your really funny.. I like how your shy, but when your comfortable with someone it's like a total different side of you. I don't know a lot about you, but from what I've seen you remind me a lot of your papa."

Hinata paused, giving him a funny look. "I don't know if that's a compliment or if your trying to make fun of me," Hinata said dryly.

Mitch laughed hilariously. "That's what I mean. Why wouldn't you think it's a compliment? Your papa is really nice, but there is this mysterious air about him. He's really passionate about his family, and your house feels like it's filled with love; but there is a slight edge to him. I notice that you two seem to have a lot in common like that, especially where your nephew is concerned."

Hinata smiled, touched.

Mitch's breath hitched, seeing how dazzling the boys smile was. He cleared his throat, looking away. However, he caught the way a few people were looking at the omega as they walked by. He merely grilled them, subconciosly pulling the boy closer to his side.

"Can I ask a question?" Hinata asked.

"Sure," Mitch said turning his attention back to him.

"Do you know why Rebecca has been ignoring me lately? I mean, she still picks me up for school, but she rarely answers my phone call or messages?"

"She thinks my brother is into you," Mitch said shrugging.

Hinata missed a step, almost falling onto the floor. Mitch grabbed him, pulling him into his side. He looked down to see the young omega's eyes ballooned in disbelief.

"W-w'why the hell would she think that?" he asked incredilously.

Mitch smiled softly. "The night we did the pack run, don't you remember what he tried to do?"

Hinata had a flashback, cheeks flushing. He shook his head, trying to remove the memory. "That was an accident! I mean wolves get excited when they complete a run, obviously he didn't have good control of his wolf when he tried...that," he said flustered.

Mitch walked in silence beside him, trying to be careful with his words. "We have been training ever since we had the ability to shift. There is no way he would have lost control of his wolf, no matter what the nature is unless..."

"Unless what?" Hinata asked anxiously.

Mitched looked at the green eyes sparkling in confusion, feeling his heart and other things clench. He gritted his teeth, refusing to admit what he assumed the other case may be. "I'm not sure. Maybe your right. My father is gonna train him next full moon, so don't worry it won't happen again."

"I'm not worried, I know you'll be there to protect me," Hinata said innocently, as they approached his first class.

 

Mitch paused, touching his chest where his heart began to accelerate at those words. It was in his nature to want to protect those who needed protection, but something about the young boy honestly drew him to him. "That's right. I'll be there to keep you safe."

Hinata smiled at his words. "I'll see you after class."

Mitch flicked his nose, smile dropping as the omega turned to enter class.

After school-Cheerleading practice

"U-um A-Alicia are you sure I should be wearing this?" Hinata asked uncomfortably, tugging at the bottom of the skirt, embarassed. He had always practiced in long pants, so he was unsure why he was being forced to wear this.

"Listen, we all voted. Dynamically, it's not gonna look right having only one person on the team wearing pants for tomorrow nights game and honestly we just wanna see what it looks like. If it doesnt look right on you, we won't ask you to wear it. Please,  let us just get a look. I promise no one has their phones."

Hinata nervously stepped out the bathroom stall in the omega locker room. He controlled his breathing, trying his best not to shift due to his anxiety.

The chatting from the cheerleaders came to a stop, as they all looked in awe at the shy omega. Alicia turned at the look of amazement on their faces, and her jaw dropped. "Oh my gosh."

"I-I look ridiculous don't I?" he asked trying to cover his body, embarassed at the sudden silence.

Alicia scoffed in disbelief, putting a hand on Hinata's shoulder. "Dude, you are actually pretty hot. I hate to say it but you look a lot more hot than a lot of the girls on the team; especially in this get up," Alicia ignored the angry murmurs behind her. 

"Seriously Hinata, I don't understand why your so self conscious! Your actually pretty attractive. I think you could get any girl... or guy if you really put your charms to the test."

Hinata smiled shyly, pleased with the compliment.

"Aww," She pulled him into a hug, patting his head as she smothered him in her bussom.

Trudy giggled, pulling her friend away. "Be careful, before you suffocate the guy. Seriously though, were not sure if your uncomfortable. If you don't want to wear it tomorrow we won't make you, but it's the first game of the season and your our main flyer. Are you okay for wearing it just for tomorrows game? We won't ask you to do it again, I promise?" She said asked, crossing her finger.

Hinata hesitated, watching the other girls give him a hopeful expression. He groaned, feeling slightly peer pressured. "Fine," he huffed out, crossing his arms. 

The girls squealed, as they all jumped on him in excitement.

Hinata wasn't use to the friendly attention he was receiving, but he was pleased to have made something similar to friends.

"Alright guys, let's head outside for practice. I want ponytails in and hairclips holding those bangs back. Were in for a tight rehearsal today. Stay hydrated and make sure you bring light snacks. Brittany no snicker bars for you, I brought you some cheerios. Dorothy please stop thinking flavored water doesn't have calories in it, go and fill your water bottle up. Everyone on the field in ten minutes," she clapepd, and with that everyone dispersed out onto the field.

"Let me help you put your hair in a pony Hinata,"Trudy said, pully his inky black hair into a scruncci. "Seriously, you really are attractive. Hell, even I would go for you, " she said winking after she finished grabbing her duffel to head outside.

Hinata flushed red, feeling flustered as he rushed to catch up to the other girls. Running outside to get to the field, he slammed into a wall of muscle.

"Aw shit. I'm sorry," Damien stammered, before he got a clear look at who he was holding. For a minute, he was unsure he was actually seeing who he thought he was, because the pretty girl staring back at him looked vaguely familiar. He squinted his eyes, before they widened in disbelief. He immediately released him in disgust, pushing him to the floor. "Why the hell are you wearing a skirt? That's fucking disgusting! Who the hell is allowing you to wear that shit?"

"I am," Alicia gritted, honestly turned off from the alpha. She had always had a crush on Damien since middle school, but she had never seen him act so ugly. "Got a problem with it?"

"Yeah!" Damien gritted, turning to the beta. "That's a guy. If he is gonna do this girly sport, the least he can do is wear pants. No one wants to play a game watching a guys balls fall out under the skirt. It's not ok for him to be wearing this kind of thing!"

Alicia raised one brow, pissed off. "Who the fuck cares what anyone thinks? Whether he is gay or not, does that matter? You sound very ignorant right now. If anyone here is disgusting, it's you. If you plan on becoming alpha one day, you better fix that shitty attitude of yours. No wonder your dating a bimbo like Rebecca, you both are clowns," She said rolling her eyes, as she reached out her arms to pull the cowering omega off the floor. She protectively held him, striding past Damien with a sneer of disgust.

Hinata felt embarassed, regretting his decision of wearing the skirt. 

"Keep your head up," Alicia said staring ahead. The shivering of the smaller male caused her to pull him closer, as she rubbed his arm in comfort. "With that kind of attitude he will never become alpha. Hinata you look great and no matter what anyone thinks; as long as your comfortable, wear it. I don't mean just the skirt. If you don't feel comfortable, don't. I'm sorry I didn't consider how others would look at you, or how uncomfortable it would make you. I was ignorant on my part."

Hinata stopped walking with his head down, feeling emotional. Rebecca had never once defended her whenever Damien made fun of him or called him names. He had someone stand up for him or show they actually cared about him outside of his family the way Alicia had just now. However, despite Damiens ugly words Alicia was right. He wasn't necessarily uncomfortable, and if he didnt like it in practice he didn't have to wear it for the game. "Thank you," he whispered.

"For what?" Alicia asked, with a raised brow.

Hinata gave her a shaky smile, "For being a nice friend."

Alicia eyes widened, seeing the pain in the omega's eyes. Her heart throbbed, and she swallowed once before giving him a bright smile that didn't reach her eyes. "Anytime," she said cheerfully, knowing in that moment she and Hinata would become good friends.
