Hakeem Palmer, or 'Keem', is a troubled but loveable meathead whose favourite way to pass the time is gaming with his little step-brother, Cody. Having lost his mother to government inaction, he has a strong stance against corruption, and feels it's his job to protect the innocent... even if he doesn't really understand how anything works. He may or may not have a gigantic crush on his step-mother, but he's not sure what to do about it. When his ineffectual father, Ermias, lets her slip through his fingers, Keem decides to take matters into his own hands. The only thing standing in his way (as far as he knows) is Ray - the local 'fairy', who seems to represent everything he hates... or maybe, what he's afraid of. That, and a strange voice that seems to be probing his mind for secrets, named 'Consolas'.
