Chapter 5

They had two days until the spell, and even though they still have to stop the spell. They still have school, so they all took a break and went to do “normal” things.

“Well, no normal spell would work, but if I increase the amount of power it can get maybe it would…”

“Sam! I get it, but today just focus on school.” Jackson said

Samuel couldn’t stop thinking of a way to make a powerful enough spell to stop HIM, and like always when Samuels in his head it causes problems. Samuel is pushed to the ground by Harry.

“Well look everybody, it’s the great and all powerful ‘Master Knight’ please tell us how you're going to stop this world ending threat. You're a disgrace to your name, you know that?” Harry said, “If I were in your shoes, the controllers wouldn’t be a thing anymore.”

“If you were in my shoes you wouldn’t have anything to your name, and you’d be honorless. Honor is the whole point of the job.” Samuel explained.

“‘Honor, happiness’ you knights can’t stop talking about it.” Harry laughed, “Good luck trying to save the world, ‘hero’” Harry walked away, and Samuel said nothing back. He got up and continued thinking about the spell.

“We have two days!” Eric yelled, “How are we going to do this?”

Everyone was in the library, except Samuel.

Carlene smiled, “Eric we always think of something right?”

“Maybe not this time.” Eric said.

“Maybe because we’re not supposed to.” Samuel walked into the room with a bunch of history books.

“What do you mean we’re not supposed to?” Eric said, “That’s what we've been trying to do!”

“Ya, but many of these books say that the Master Knight is meant to fight HIM. Not stop HIM from coming.” Samuel looked over a few books, “Look, here it says that the Master Knight will slay the beast with magic unmeasured. Not HIM never came.”

Everybody looked at each other, Sylvan looked at Samuel. “Do you think you could?”

Samuel looked down, “I think I need to train.”

“Well first, what have we prepared for?” Sylvan asked

“I’ve memorized the spell combo to stop the dimensional opening and hopefully the immortality spell, and HIM can open holes in the multiverse.” Samuel said,

“So we prepare more. The great knight can see all, he must know what’s going to happen. If he wrote don't that HIM is meant to be summoned, then maybe he is.” Sylvan said, he nodded at Samuel “What do you need us to do?”

Samuel took a deep breath, “I need you to get everyone out of the city and the school, away from the fight. Me, and Jackson can handle this. Jackson, Adam we’re all going to go train. Everyone got it?” They all nodded, “Alright, time to fight an interdimensional beast.”

After deciding they were going to stop the one spell, and see where the immortality spell went, it was time to train to fight the interdimensional monster known as HIM. Samuel brought Jackson and Adam to where the war of the gods was, and prepared to fight.

“So what are we supposed to do?” Adam asked,

“Ya, all you said was, ‘We must train’ and brought us out here.” Jackson added,

“Well I have made a spell I think you guys will either like or hate.” Samuel activated a rune that if it worked would summon the closest beast to them. A giant dragon-like creature appeared, and stared directly at them.

Jackson laughed, “How nice of you Samuel!”

Adam looked at Jackson, “Are you insane!”

“Yes.” Samuel said, “Now fight!”

Samuel ran into combat and summoned his staff, Jackson followed and summoned his armor. Adam was reluctant, but followed and summoned his fire sword. Samuel shot a blast of energy from his staff at the monster, it yelled in anger. It swiped at Samuel, and Samuel was hit back to the start.

“Ow.” Samuel growned,

Jackson created a light shield, a rounded shape. The beast tried to break it, but failed to hit it hard enough. Adam created water chains, and swiped them over the shield. The beast fell back in anger. Samuel smiled, he jumped up, cast his flight spell, and shot the beast with a light blast. Jackson let the shield fall, and went in for an attack. He summoned a rock hammer, and smashed the beast's stomach. The beast directly hit Jackson off its stomach, and started to get up. Adam threw water chains over the beast pinning it to the ground, Samuel healed himself and got up. He summoned water chains, and shot them directly into the stomach of the beast. It roared in anguish, and broke free of the chains. Jackson cast an earth spell to sink the beast into the ground, but the beast arose from the pit and swatted at Samuel. Before he did Samuel moved away. Everyone backed up, Samuel and Adam created water chains to grab the beast. It roared once more, before Jackson stabbed its chest with his sword. The beast faded.

Adam looked at Samuel “Sam, did you have to make us fight a monster?”

Samuel nodded, “Yes.”
