Chapter 7

“What!?” Everybody said in unison, Samuels ears rang.

“We are not letting you do this alone!” Jackson said,

Adam nodded, “Ya, you can't do it alone anyway.”

Samuel smiled, “Actually I can. Now with my speed I can best HIM, and send him to the void. It will take me along with it, but that’s the price. You all get everyone away safely ok?”

“No! Not Ok.” Sylvan said, “You're not risking your life again.”

“Ya we’re sorry Sam, but you can't.” Carlene said,

“I’m sorry man.” Eric said from behind Samuel

Eric pushed him down, and held his arms so he couldn’t do magic. Everyone else went and grabbed the yarn that Samuel was using for research and a chair to tie him up, and guard him.

“Wow, that was easier than I thought it would be.” Said Charles,

“Don't jinx it.” Carlene warned,

“What he doesn’t have his hands to do magic because we tied them up” Charles said,

“Well It doesn’t matter anymore does it?” Samuel asked, “The world will end, and I'll always be here to see it end.” Samuel smiled,

“Wow that’s dark Samuel.” Said Sylvan, “I’ll get things ready with the counsel, you all guard him.” They all nodded, and Sylvan left the room.

They all looked at Samuel, “We’re really sorry, we didn’t think you’d risk your life like this!” Said Eric.

“But you knew I’d do anything to save everyone.” Samuel said,

“Yes we did.” Carlene said.

Samuel looked down, “Well, I guess I can tell you guys what I learned while in the speed zone for weeks.”

Carlene smiled, “Ya of course.”

Samuel smiled, “A lot of cool stuff” Samuel teleported next to Eric, and shot a teleporting blast at Eric. “I’m sorry.” Jackson ran at Samuel, “You were the best friend I ever had.” Jackson tackled Samuel, but Samuel teleported behind Jackson. He cast sand pit on him. Samuel looked at all of his friends, and then looked at Eric who was on the second story of the library. Samuel closed his eyes, and teleported away.

Samuel arrived next to Sylvan, and grabbed his arm.

“I’ll miss you.” Samuel told him,

“No you won't have to, because the counsel will handle this.”

“If the counsel couldn’t handle the controllers taking over Elflem. I have to do this.” Samuel said,

Samuel started to walk away, but stopped and looked around. “You helped me see this, everything. You're the best teacher in this school.”

Samuel vanished again, and Sylvan just stood still for a while. He then went back to the Study to see what just happened.

Samuel appeared at the study again, everyone was freaking out.

Carlene pushed him, “Don't do that!”

Eric came next to her, and held his shoulder. “We were worried about you!”

“But you shouldn’t, I got things under control.” Samuel tried to calm them, and it didn’t look like it was working.

“What do you mean you got things under control?” Eric asked, “You're going to fight HIM! That is more insane than any day I become immortal.”

Samuel smiled, “That's just how we roll.”

Sylvan ran back into the library, “Samuel what are you thinking? You can't do this! You’ll die!”

“If that’s the price for saving thousands more lives, then yes I will die.”  Samuel said, “This is what I’m meant to do, like you said Eric, for eternity I must find a way to spend it. This is it if it must be.”

Eric nodded, “I appreciate you taking my advice, but this is not the way to take it.”

“But it is, I’ve studied it. The immortality spell doesn’t just make you immortal, or make you have white hair. It makes your magic stronger. I can feel that I have more mana than ever before. I can't trap HIM again, that’s my purpose.” Samuel’s friends were free now, and walked around him curiously. “When HIM is summoned there has always been somebody to stop him, in other words time repeats itself. The First Knight was the first to defeat HIM, and now it’s led to me. I have to do this, but I need all of you to get everyone away before HIM is summoned. If he is trapped you will know.”

“Will you at least try and stop HIM from coming?” Adam asked,

Samuel looked at him and smiled, “For you of course.” Samuel looked to Jackson, “I need you to get everyone out of the city as fast as possible, that’s the first place HIM will be.”

Jackson nodded, “I’ll go right now.” Before he left he ran over to Samuel and gave him a hug, “You're the best friend I could ever have.” He said,

Samuel smiled and hugged back, “Same for you.” Samuel let go, and Jackson ran to evacuate. “I need you all to bring the people to the school, keep them here. I’ll make sure to keep HIM away.” They all nodded, “Before I go remember this. We are all knight’s, and we all did this.”

They all nodded, Sylvan smiled. “Weren’t you just a lost human?”

Samuel smiled, “Before Marshlake I was lost.” Samuel disappeared, to Elflem.
