Chapter 8
Samuel teleported to Elflem, the ritual area they’d been in. There were many people there, some were controllers, but others were just citizens.
“I need you all to listen.” He said, many of them gasped at his now snow white hair. “That thing needs to be closed now! And you all must leave before I do.” Many of them looked at each other, the controllers pulled out weapons, and they approached Samuel. He glared at them, “You know that I’m the Master Knight right? The one who defeated all of you before?” They continued to approach, “Well. What are you going to do?” There were fourteen controllers approaching him, and each of them held spears. Samuel summoned his staff, and slammed it on the ground. He created a sand pit all around him, and stuck seven of the fourteen in it. He didn’t want to hurt them, that badly, but he had to deal with them. He shot the ones in the pit with his portal blast, and teleported them to the middle of the island. The rest he took manually, he summoned a fire sword. He ran at one of them, then ducked and cut their waist. They screamed, another came running at him Samuel created an illusion of the soldier he just attacked as him. The soldier ran at the illusion, and stabbed them. Samuel removed the illusion, and showed the soldier that he’d stabbed his teammate. The soldier gasped.
“You're insane!” He yelled,
“Cool right?” Samuel cast a new spell, and summoned a new spell called thorn spear. He stabbed the soldier, he gasped. Samuel elbowed the man, and stabbed the other with his spear. Samuel flew toward the rip to HIM, and looked inside. He didn’t see anything, he shot a blast of light into the hole. It created no light, but he saw a purple light in the distance. Somebody shot Samuel. Samuel turned around, and shot the person with a portal blast. They disappeared. The man he’d recently stabbed rose.
“It’s good that HIM is coming, and you don't have anything to stop him.” The man yelled,
Samuel closed his eyes, “He must come to die, right?” The man yelled just before Samuel blasted him with a portal blast. Samuel saw a light zipping around the city, Jackson was getting people to the school. Samuel looked back to the rift and yelled into the hole, “it’s been nice knowing ya.”
Samuel ran to Jackson, “How’s the evacuation?” Samuel asked,
“Going good, but there’s still a lot of people in the city. It’s going to take time.” He said,
“Alright, I’ll guard the center. If HIM gets out I’ll lead him directly away from the school.”
Jackson nodded, “Got it.” He dashed off.
Samuel came back to the hole, it grew. For some reason it grew. HIM, he’s coming. Samuel had to prepare, he cast an infinite shield around the rift. He wouldn’t be able to cause trouble for now, Samuel slowed down time in the shield and used his speed to move normally. He looked around, all he needed to do was wait for HIM to arrive.
Jackson was getting people out of the city, most people were already at the school, and everyone was helping to organize them and keep them safe. What could go wrong?
Samuel heard a large roar, and saw what looked to be a finger come out of the rift. HIM was supposed to come out, but that didn’t mean Samuel wasn’t meant to stop him. Samuel shot a star blast into the hole, and heard a screech from the other side. Samuel looked closely into the hole, and saw something. An eye, looking back.
‘You Knight’s getting in the way, as usual. We’ll see what you can do then, Master Knight.” The monster spoke from the void. Samuel’s eyes widened as he realized that what was about to happen could kill everyone in Marshlake.
