Chapter 8

Tarin ran to the alert his mom and Dr. Myer told them it was coming all from Genex, not surprising. Tarin ran as fast as he could, and his friends followed as best they could. Train didn’t notice it before, but he was able to go faster and beat Dark Dash in a fight. Something he’d never been able to do before, now he was ready. To fight his arch nemesis properly.

“What’s going on?” Asked Tarin’s mom, which felt a bit weird.

“There’s a huge storm, and the sky over the building is looking really weird.” Said Tarin, and weird it looked. The tower looked like the eye of the storm, except the top of it looked like Tarin was looking straight into space.

Colton came over the intercom, “Ya, you should see it from here.”

“What do you see?” asked Max.

“Well, I’m seeing stars that I’ve never seen before. I think it’s opening to another dimension or something, but something is definitely happening on the top. There’s like little tendrils grabbing at the sky, and pulling it into a machine.” Said Colton.

“How is that possible?” Asked Sorra.

Train smiled to himself, “Well obviously we’re possible, so we can’t judge anything anymore. Everyone get to the top, and try to stop the machine. I don’t know what it does, but if it’s coming from Méndez it can’t be good.”

“Got it, see you up there.” Said Max.

The train ran up the building, how? He had no idea, but it wasn’t time to ask those questions. He could obviously beat Méndez, but what would happen after that? They would obviously need to protect the city, ever since Méndez showed up there’s been new people in the streets selling illegal goods. New obstacles for the heroes, and whatever happened today would show them the truth of the enemy they faced. Tarin reached the top of the tower, he was the first one. Dark Dash stood on the center operating a giant machine, surrounded by his new minions. His mask was off, and you could see his face.

“Well well well, if it isn’t the little superhero. Come to accept defeat, and face the true villain of this.” He said.

Tarin had no idea what he was talking about, but he didn’t care. “The only villains right now are you and your little minions. You already know I’m faster than you, and that you can’t win a fight against me.”

The villain nodded, “It is true, you increased your speed since our last battle. Maybe chaos is your ally, but supreme power is on mine. I hold the power to controlling the world, and I hand that power to you and all you do is throw it away. You are a disgrace to all powered, magic or not.”

Magic? What was he talking about? Tarin looked close at Méndez, and saw that his ears looked funny. Pointy. Tarin ignored it. “So this is your plan? Make a giant gateway to who knows where?”

The villain looked to the sky, “Ah, no. This is another’s plan, I just am using it to power my own. It is what originally created the plants, and our powers. This is what it’s always been about, and what I shall use to control it even more.” He turned to face Tarin, “I have been planning this for many years, and never have I faced such a heroic foe. You my friend are the catalyst to all I have accomplished, now we shall not be the only ones! We shall rule the city, then the world! We will be the first, and the most powerful!” The doctor exclaimed.

“You’ll die before it though.” Mentioned Tarin, “You're dying.”

The doctor scowled, “That is a small problem that will pass once it is finished, and your little force of heroes is extinguished.”

“Xeno Force never dies!” Yelled a voice. Eithan jumped in from above, and shot the doctor, and his team of supervillains. Dark Dash ran out of the way, and the other supervillains found their own ways out.

“So are we really called 'Xeon Force’ now?” Asked Tarin.

Eithan smiled, “You bet.” Max, Colton, Aaron, and Sorra came in from behind Tarin. They powered up with all their individual powers and were ready to fight.

Méndez scowled, “The heroes think they can fight against the most powerful force of all of history.”

Tarin pointed up, “Then what’s that? Obviously there’s something more at play than this, but first you end.” Tarin ran at Dark Dash, he put his mask back on and dodged Tairin. Who, running as fast as he could, shot a blast of energy as the machine. Disabling it, and electrocuting the entire machine.

“NO!!” Yelled the doctor, who punched Tarin a million times. Which didn’t matter, because the more the doctor hit the more he hit Tarin the more Tarin his back. From the power gained by Dark Dash Tarin blasted him off the building, disarming the doctor for now. Tarin ran back seeing the supervillains hadn't even met with the superheroes, so Tarin decided to intervene and beat up the supervillains before they even met the superheroes. Tarin went with his friends and fought the supervillains with them, the supervillains were no match for Tarin and his friends. They’d grown more powerful than they’d ever been, and they were never going to stop. Méndez came and tried to punch Tarin in the back of the head, which Tarin felt and dodged, punching Méndez right back. He fell to the floor, and whimpered as he’d done back in their previous fight. The machine was destroyed and the villains were defeated, Tarin tied up all the villains and left them on the top of the roof for the police to handle. “You leave us, why?” Asked the doctor.

Tarin only smiled, “You have done wrong, but it is not our decision to choose your wrong.” Ok not the best analogy, but it was ok. “It is the people you’ve hurt to decide.”

Eithan came over the intercoms, “Very superheroy, nice.”

Then his mom and Dr. Myer. “I knew you’d make the right decision, I love you.” Said his mom.

“Good job kid.” Said Dr. Myer.

Tarin smiled, “Come on guys, let’s get out of here. There’s plenty of other people that need help.” The sky continued to look like that for a few hours, but eventually it died down and looked normal again.

Eithan smiled, “Guy’s. Did we just save the world?” He asked excitedly.

Aaron nodded, “I believe so my friend.” They all had a silent hooray and went back to base, where they were scolded for not telling of their secret identities but then loved and appreciated for saving the city. Tarin kept the whole, it wasn’t Méndez who made the hole in the sky thing to himself and celebrated with his friends. He couldn’t believe they saved the world, a few teenagers, an old scientist and a nurse. All saved the world from an evil doctor. What a day.
