Chapter 11

The city mourned for three whole days, at the death of the Xeno Force. Tarin and his friends all went to funerals, technically for themselves. People made speeches about them and told stories from their own experiences, most of which either Tarin didn’t remember or didn’t happen at all. Either way it was actually kinda cool being, you know. Dead and all, but I still couldn’t believe that Xeno Force was dead. Plus it took us three years to get that name! My mom suggested that we go back to school for the final month, and finally graduate. I had everything up to date in all my classes, and had straight A’s so it wasn’t hard to get to graduation. All the time though only one thought went through my head, was Xeno Force really dead? Where would Tarin and his friends go? Tarin already knew the answer, and since fighting Velmora and seeing Dark Dash he knew what he needed to do. First he had a graduation to go to.

The graduation hall was filled with pictures of the superheroes before their death, guess everything was about them now. Tarin met up with his friends.

“Hey guys! Ready for graduation!” He said.

Sorra looked around, “Tarin, something’s here.”

Train immediately knew what she was talking about, “What is it?” He started generating electricity, only for Max to pat him on the shoulder.

“Don’t worry, it’s probably nothing. Let’s just get through graduation and be done with this for a while, ok?”

Everyone looked at eachother, Colton was the first to say what was on all of their minds. “What do we do now?” He asked.

Nobody answered the question, then an announcement was made. “All Senior students please make your way to the gymnasium for graduation!”

Tarin nodded, “We’ve got it, we’ll handle it if anything dangerous comes up.” They all nodded back.

Slowly all of the graduates all went into the gymnasium to see all of their families, all the chairs were in perfect rows. All the parents and family were on one side of the gym, and on the other were colleges to give special scholarships to the students. Some of them were staring at Tarin and his friends, some didn’t look right. All the seniors sat down. Tarin looked over the stands to see his mom, Myer, and Lily all sitting next to each other. Tarin’s mom waved, Lily gave him a troubled look and nodded to the other side of the gym. Something was up.

Tarin sat down next to his friends, “You guys see it right?”

Max, Colton, and Sorra all nodded. Colton looked at the colleges, “They're all just looking into space, and don’t really look like they're looking for specific students.”

“He’s right.” Sorra said, “Something big is happening, I can feel their minds. Their blankness. I can’t feel anything from them, none of them are picking us for sure.” Tarin had already known that, but ok. She was right though, something was definitely up. Tarin used his powers to look for they’re phones.

“They’re phones aren’t working, all of their phones.” He said he looked to the stage and saw the presenters walking onto the stage, three of them wore suits and ties. One wore a robe. Tarin looked to his friends, who had the exact same expression on.

The principal started the graduation speech, and it was an average speech. They’ve been such good student’s, we’ll never forget this year, blah blah blah. The one point that got me was the point where there was a “Special visitor” to say. “... He is here to take seven lucky students to his college with full scholarships. People please welcome The Master Knight!” Tarin froze. The figure with the robe came out of the shadows and took off his hood.

“Yes, I am The Master Knight. Have chosen the following student’s of this school to come to the MDSC as teachers!” Said the Master Knight

Everyone clapped, all of them yelling “Congrats for the scholarships!” “Pick me!” “What are the benefits!” None of that matter though, Tarin already knew who the Master Knight had chosen. Everyone kept talking like he’d said as students, every student said so.

“I even made sure our seventh choice would be in the audience right now!” Said the Master Knight, looking right at Tarin with a kind smile. Tarin couldn’t help but be happy, he was about to get a scholarship as a teacher for the MDSC. Kinda crazy. “Now without further adieu, can the following please come to the stage. Aaron Galac, Max Monium, Colton Hill, Eithan Johnson, Sorra Bailey, Lily James, and Tarin Jacobs!” Tarin couldn’t move. He was happy, but he felt like he didn’t deserve to go. He knew he really liked the MDSC, and he liked the people in it. But, him? As a teacher?

Tarin slowly got up, followed by his friends and Lily. Who all came to the stage.

Lily came up to them, “I don’t think I’m in the right outfit to be graduating.”

Sorra kissed Lily on the cheek, “You look great.”

Everyone else averted their gaze and looked to the Master Knight, “Aaron Galac, I give you the class of Light! Max Monium, I give you the class of basic combat! Colton Hill, I give you the class of Air! Eithan Johnson, I give you the class of Magic Combat! Sorra Bailey, I give you the class of Mind! Lily James, I give you the class of Forbidden Magics!” The Master Knight finally turned to Tarin, “And Tarin Jacobs, not only will I give you the class of Lightning! But I will also make you the head of superhero affairs of the multiverse!” The crowd erupted into cheers, and the Master Knight nodded. “I believe you know your way to school.” He vanished after that, but nobody noticed.

So ya, a pretty good graduation over all. After that, and everything else they went through they really did find their love for the MDSC and magic. Hard to believe I know, Tarin! A man of science turned to the path or magic! It was actually one of the best decisions of my life. We arrived at the airport, in our new teacher uniforms and looked at the airport.

Tarin’s mom had not stopped asking questions since the graduation, and was still trying to make sure everything was ok. “Alright, you have your magic things in here.” She said, patting a small bag about the size of a chiwawa, “And all your normal things are in here.” She said, patting two large duffel bags. “Am I forgetting anything? What about a wand, do you need a wand? Could it be anything like a stick or a pen or…” Tarin hugged his mom before she could say anything more.

“Thank you.” He said.

She hugged him back, “I should be thanking you, you're technically the one who saved me first.”

“Ya, but without you I wouldn’t have anyone to save so…” He joked.

“Well, I hope you have a good teaching career. Mr. Jacobs.”

Tarin smiled, “I like the sound of that.” He said bye one more time, turned to his friends and ran away to a place of magic and wonder. Tarin can’t wait to see what’s next.
