“So, like, are you sure we are the warriors? I mean — I feel it!” said Nimji.
“You are right!” said Kimji and Somji in unison.
Now, I am not saying they are ready — ohhh no — they are just chubby, innocent kids. They don’t know the real black-and-white reality.
The wolf pack’s leader loosely trains the three so they can go on their journey to meet up with their leader. The wolf tells them that their roles are important — for saving the world from the upcoming disasters.
The wolf handed them a map of the Minji Jungle, and the X on the map marked where they would find Mounchioun’s house, a healing potion, and armor.
Nimji’s armor was a base of gold with wavy spikes all over the back. The spikes were colored in shades of fire and flames.
Kimji’s armor was neon green with sharp gloves and black stripes running down the back of the suit.
Somji’s armor covered her head, descending all the way to her back — unlike Nimji and Kimji’s armor, which had separate helmets and suits. Her armor was bright pink and purple. Bigger wings were attached to the back of the suit where Somji’s own wings fit in perfectly. Despite the size, Somji could easily lift the wings since she was a huge butterfly.
After sliding on their armor, they thanked the wolves and began their journey.
The map showed their route: first, they had to follow along the River of Yokina. After the river ended, they needed to make a left and search for the Red Blossom Trail. At the end of the Red Blossom Trail stood Mounchioun’s house.
It might seem easy — but it wasn’t.
The River of Yokina was home to the largest and most dangerous eels. These creatures could crawl out of the water and zap their prey. One zap was enough to badly injure a lion — so the three kids had to be really… careful…
Meanwhile, the Red Blossom Trail had its own dangers. Storms were common in the area, lightning flashing, winds howling.
They followed the river anyway.
Day after day, they walked long and steep distances, their feet sore from miles and miles of trekking.
At times, Nimji offered to carry Kimji and Somji for a while. Though Somji was a butterfly, her wings would tire, especially under the weight of her hefty armor. They had to take long breaks, which wasted precious time, because the great Hantens were coming…
One unlucky day, Nimji, as usual, was carrying Kimji and Somji on his back. Suddenly — an eel lashed out of the water, dragging Nimji and Kimji under the surface in an instant.
The eel kept swimming farther and farther into the river’s depths.
Somji was startled. Frozen. She was scared. After all, she was a butterfly — she couldn’t swim…
