“Soooooo what are you trying to say?”
“Well, the thing is their leader had a limp and one blind eye. What I’m trying to say is: what if those wolves are the Hantens and they are just helping you guys to cover up their true colors?”
“Oh come on, how could that possibly be tru—” Somji cut Kimji’s sentence short.
“WAIT, he might be on to something. Doesn’t the leader have a slight limp in his leg, the leader we met? Andddddd when you guys were drowning, I saw his eye color turn into a grey-white for a split second, but then it turned back to normal.”
“That’s enough evidence to get anyone hooked, including me,” said Kimji. Nimji nodded his head.
“If you meet them, just act natural. I have to switch up your training and end your course soon. I’ll let you know about your journey on how to defeat them, but I need more time to research.”
Just like that, Mounchioun started to work on finding out how to defeat the Hantens. Day and night he worked, putting in his blood, sweat, and tears to find out. Everything else was in place: their armor wasn’t that damaged, Mounchioun could easily fix it up, their training was going well too, and they were perfecting their skills.
Mounchioun decided to add a spritz of magic to their armor, to help them at their lowest.
Mounchioun had found out the journey the three critters had to take.
He explained that they had to find the Soul Tracker in the Caves of Grief, southwest of their current location. Some people say that in the olden days, people used the caves to help those going through the stages of grief. Then they had to take on another journey to obtain the Pearl of Life and the Pearl of Death.
The Pearl of Life would be in the Jungle of Pearls, in the soft rose bush near a river sitting on a rose petal. The pearl should have carvings on it to match the appearance of the gates. The Pearl of Death, however, would be found in murky grey waters in the Lands of the Dead. How were they supposed to visit the Land of the Dead, I hear you ask? The key to the gates of the Dead was the Pearl of Life. Confusing, right?!
So after sad goodbyes, they set out to bring the Hanten “warriors” down. The reason they needed to obtain the Soul Torakkā, or the Soul Tracker, is because it can help them track down the location of the Jungle of Pearls.
It is said that the Jungle of Pearls is home to many wandering spirits, most good, some bad.
They started heading southwest.
“Listen guys, we need to make smart decisions. We can’t let the Hantens defeat us. We shall stay strong and maintain calm. Let’s begin your journey as warriors and our goal to defeat the Hantens.”
“Is he okay?” whispered Kimji to Somji.
“I really don’t know, but we should say something back,” Somji whispered.
“YES!” said Kimji and Somji in unison.
“Let’s begin this journey!”
They kept walking southwest until mist started to fill the air—cold, murky mist.
The air was getting tighter. Had they wandered close to the caves?
“Guys, look!!! What’s that???” Kimji pointed to a large boulder. Suddenly, while walking, Nimji hit his foot on something.
“OWWWW!!” Another large boulder…
It took them a while to figure out, but they had reached the caves. There was a boulder on each side. Legend has it that the boulders were there to protect the caves from negative energy and were specially hand-crafted by God himself.
They slowly entered the first cave. Their goal with the caves was to complete each task in order to obtain the Soul Torakkā. So they began.
As they entered, a misty voice started to rise:
