‎"It fell when you were asleep so l placed it there"I explained and she smiled.

‎

‎"I must've been tired for I didn't realize when I dozed off"she said as laughed.I just smiled and she felt awkward since I didn't get her joke and didn't laugh too.

‎

‎"What are you solving?"she asked.

‎

‎"Calculus"I answered flatly which made her realize I wasn't in the mood to converse or be disturbed. She nodded and continued to read her book as I did with mine. I was solving though .

‎

‎After what seemed like forever, the school bell finally rang for break and I closed the book as I  released a sigh of tiredness. Lucia had slept again. Was the book that boring for her? I tapped her to wake up.

‎

‎"Yeah I'm awake"she said as she woke up abruptly which was kinda funny but I'm didn't give away any expression.

‎

‎"It's break time."I said to her.

‎

‎"Oh okay,I'm not hungry,I will stay in class but thank you"she said as she placed her head on the table and drifted to sleep again.

‎

‎I packed my learning materials in my bag and exited the class heading towards the hallway to get some soda drink.

‎

‎Getting there,I inserted some coins inside the vending machine and punched in some numbers. A soda can appeared under and I took it and headed to the second vending machine for some potato chips. I headed towards the cafeteria where I could eat my snacks.

‎

‎On my way,I bumped into a boy who was running and didn't see me coming. Luckily,I had great stamina and therefore balanced myself in time to prevent falling. The boy was completely shocked when he realized who he had bumped into and started to kowtow to me. He knelt down on his knees and started apologizing nonstop to me.

‎

‎"I'm so sorry,please forgive me. I didn't intend to hit you. "

‎

‎All happened so fast and I was confused. Why was he kneeling down apologizing?Did he know me? Ofcourse he did or why else would he be creating such a scene. The people around starred at us and wondered why the boy was acting this way. They started looking at me suspiciously and tried to understand why.

‎

‎"Do you know her?"

‎

‎"Why is he kneeling down? It was just an accident?"

‎

‎"Why is she rich or powerful. Why he is kowtowing to her like that. She must be someone very important I guess"

‎

‎I heard people whispering as they looked at us. The boy continued kneeling,his face to the ground. Wasn't he going to stand up.

‎

‎"Get up please"I requested and he quickly  stood up like a soldier who was ordered by his commander. This made me feel a little uneasy. I didn't like it when people treated me like this. That's why I decided to stay low key and blend with the crowd.

‎

‎"It was just and accident. You didn't have to make a such a big scene out of it" I said.

‎

‎"I'm sorry for that"he said.

‎

‎"Stop apologizing"I said and he nodded, his lips sealed. I then walked past him and continued to head towards the cafeteria.

‎

‎ They continued to stare at me but I didn't care because I knew after a while,they would soon forget what just happened. Something hotter than this will eventually happen as it always did.

‎

‎I soon got to the cafeteria,found an empty chair and table,settled down and started to dig in. Gold and Diamond's cafeteria wasn't a cafeteria. It was a restaurant where all kinds of dishes were available.

‎It was very huge as it could contain all the students at a go. Yet only few came to purchase food. Not that the foods weren't delicious,you know how rich spoiled brats are,they never seem to get pleased. Anytime it was break,most of them would go out of the school to buy whatever they wanted. The principal had to create a policy of banning the going out of school premises when it wasn't over . The students weren't happy about this and decided to strike. Some boys destroyed Mr. Williams's car glass when he wasn't at school. This situation was reported to the police and the culprits were found but due to power and money,the were left without no sanction.

‎

‎The parents of the culprits compensated Mr.Williams twice the price of his car and he therefore shut his mouth. He even decided to bring down the policy he earlier made.

‎

‎I had finished my snack when I saw people gather around someone. They shouted especially the girls as the person entered the cafeteria. The whole place was noisy and chaotic and I started to feel uneasy. There was only one person who had the power to do this and it was Michael Keys.

‎

‎The star of Gold and Diamond High . He was one of the students in this school I didn't want to associate myself with. From his personality to his dressing. It gave me the vibe of a thug. He always dyed his hair,had many piercings and even tattoos.He could wear anything to school and not even the teachers and Mr.Williams could do anything about it since he was .... .

‎

‎Micheal was the son of Mr.Keys,the owner of KO Entertainment.One of the biggest entertainment companies in the country. He was therefore very rich.  He was the fifth richest student in the school and was very popular not only at school but across the country and everyone loved him except me.

‎

‎He was a model and was now debuting for his music career which he made known to everyone. He had even done commercials for big brands and companies. He was therefore the most popular in the school.

‎

‎One thing that added to his fame was his relationship. He was dating Brittany Mounts,the fashionista of the school. Not only was she very pretty but she was also very famous and rich .She ranked fourth when it came to wealth. Her dad owned a prestigious university and the two biggest resorts in the country. Her mom was a very famous plastic surgeon. I used to like her only because her skin was like mine but when she and Michael made their relationship official,I started to dislike her also.

‎

‎The commotion was no where ending and I had to leave but the way back to the hallway was blocked by the obsessed funs of Michael so I had to wait for these lunatics to disperse.

‎

‎After what seemed like forever for me,Michael finally left the cafeteria and the gathered people dispersed. It seems he was looking for his girlfriend who I knew had gone out of the school to buy food with her friend Lily.

‎

‎He definitely knew she never came to the cafeteria to eat as they thought it was for the less fortunate people yet he came just to make an appearance and be hovered over by people. I didn't get it with spoiled brats and fame. They always wanted to make a scene and be the center of attraction. What did they really get from that? Well no matter how I tried,I wouldn't understand and I didn't care either.

‎

‎Realizing the way had finally been cleared,I stood up and exited the cafeteria heading to class as it was already break over.
