Inside his room, Yatrans lay on the bed, staring at his status screen, lost in thought.

Yatrans (thinking): So… how do I actually use my skill?

He scrolled to the section labeled Martial Art—but then noticed something unusual.

Yatrans: Wait… Martial Art? No… oh, here it is—this skill’s description… “Can make a machine or weapon. Just imagine the type of weapon or machine you want—its appearance, size, and function—and it will be created.”

Yatrans sat up, eyes wide with excitement.

Yatrans: So, this skill lets me make machines and weapons? Interesting… let’s try something simple first.

He closed his eyes and pictured a tiny device.

Yatrans: A small system… like a flying insect, a drone maybe. Something with a camera eye that can fly… like a mechanical fly!

Slowly, in his mind, he designed the details—the body structure, the wings, the camera eye, and even a controller with a small display screen connected to the drone.

Yatrans: Yes… a remote with buttons: forward, backward, left, right, up, down—just like a video game controller. Perfect. All done!

When he opened his eyes, the exact device lay on the bed before him—perfectly crafted. A tiny mechanical fly with a sleek black-and-silver body, transparent wings, and a glowing eye. Next to it rested the controller, fitted with a small display that showed the fly’s perspective in real time.

Yatrans (shocked and excited): “Wow..! This is… this is… awesome!”

He quickly picked up the controller.

Yatrans: Let’s test it out.

He pressed the up button—immediately, the fly rose into the air. He pressed forward, and it moved ahead.

Yatrans (cheering): “It works! It really works!”

But then he frowned.

Yatrans: Wait… how do I rotate it? …Argh! I forgot to add rotation controls!

Frustrated but determined, he closed his eyes again and redesigned the model—this time adding two new buttons for left and right rotation.

When he opened his eyes, a second model lay on the bed, complete with the upgraded controller.

Yatrans (grinning): “Every time I create something, it feels amazing. God was right… this really is a powerful skill.”

He picked up the new controller.

Yatrans: “From now on, I’ll call you Little Spy.”

The fly buzzed through the room as he tested every control—up, down, left, right, rotation—perfect response. The display screen mirrored everything the fly saw.

Yatrans: “Nice one! Now, let’s put it to use… see what’s happening downstairs.”

Through the window, the tiny drone flew down into the guild hall, unnoticed. Yatrans watched through the screen as the tables, adventurers, and workers all came into view.

He spotted suzu at the counter, handling requests.

Yatrans (whispering): “There she is… suzu. Let’s see what she’s doing.”

At the counter:

suzu: “Okay Toru, here’s your mission payment—50K Pi.”

Toru: “Thanks. So the job’s done.”

suzu: “Sorry.”

Toru (confused): “Sorry? For what?”

suzu: “Your job is done, so please step aside. Others are waiting behind you.”

Toru (annoyed): “Tsk!” (He moved away.)

Back in his room, Yatrans sighed.

Yatrans: That was kind of personal. I shouldn’t interfere.

At the counter again, a girl named Eui approached.

suzu: “You want a mission? Let’s see… here’s a C-rank one. But you’re only D-rank.”

Eui: “I can handle it.”

suzu: “Maybe, but this mission requires three people. You’ll need two more.”

Eui: “Oh…”

suzu: “Wait—I’ve got an idea. A new adventurer registered today, and he’s already B-rank. You could team up with him.”

Back in his room, Yatrans nearly fell over.

Yatrans: “Huh?! Why me?! …Well, God did give me a mission. If the enemy is as powerful as he said, I’ll need to get stronger first anyway. Fine…”

At the counter:

Eui: “But we still need one more member.”

suzu: “Then I’ll come along too. That makes three.”

Eui: “But your work here—”

suzu: “Don’t worry. Pilo can handle it.”

(Pilo, another guild worker, nodded in agreement.)

Just then, Toru returned angrily.

Toru: “This isn’t fair! When I asked, you said you were busy. Now you’re leaving on a mission?”

suzu: “What I do is my choice. Who are you to stop me?”

Later, suzu stood outside Yatrans’ room, checking her reflection.

suzu (to herself): Do I look okay? Hair neat, makeup fine… yes, all set.

She rang the bell—Yatrans opened the door, already wearing a backpack.

suzu (surprised): “Huh? Were you about to leave?”

Yatrans: “Not exactly. I knew you’d be coming to call me, so I got ready beforehand. Why waste time?”

suzu (shocked and blushing): “Wait… how did you know?”

Yatrans (smirking): “Because of this.”

He showed her the spy fly and its controller.

suzu (blinking): “What’s that?”

Yatrans (thinking): Right… in this world, they don’t know about Earth’s technology.

Yatrans (explaining): “This is a spy controller. I made it using my skill. The fly has a camera in its eye, and everything it sees appears on this screen—including sound. That’s how I overheard you and Eui earlier.”

suzu (blushing): “…I see.”

Yatrans (grinning): “Awesome, right? I can create all sorts of things with this skill—some even more powerful. I’ll show you later.”

suzu (serious): “Yatrans, listen. It’s fine you told me, but don’t reveal your skill to anyone else. If enemies learn its weaknesses, you’ll be in danger.”

Yatrans: “…You’re right. Sorry. I won’t make that mistake again.”

suzu (smiling): “Good. Then let’s go.”

Together, they went downstairs and joined Eui, who sat waiting at a table.

suzu: “Eui, this is Yatrans, the adventurer I mentioned. Yatrans, this is Eui.”

Eui: “Nice to meet you. Thanks for joining us.”

Yatrans: “My pleasure. It’s my first mission, so I’ll learn a lot from you two.”

Eui (impressed): “First mission… and you’re already B-rank? I’ve been D-rank for a whole year!”

Yatrans blinked in surprise.

Yatrans (thinking): What?! She’s been D-rank for a year… then B-rank really is strong.

suzu then explained the system.

suzu: “There are 11 ranks in total: F, E, D, C, B, A, AA, AAA, S, SS, SSS. Normally, adventurers range up to A-rank. Above that, they’re extremely rare and very powerful.”

Yatrans: “So… am I not that strong then?”

suzu: “No, no—B-rank is very powerful! My rank is C, and I’m in this guild’s top 20 strongest.”

Yatrans: “I see.”

suzu: “But remember—rank doesn’t always decide strength. Hard work does. Also, the mission system has strict rules:

You can’t accept missions higher than your rank unless with someone stronger.

Once accepted, a mission cannot be canceled.

After completion, proof must be submitted at a guild counter.

Also, adventurers can join parties. The top three in this country are Tiger, Shatan, and Sona—incredibly powerful and famous. But joining them is nearly impossible.”

Yatrans: “Are you in a party?”

suzu: “No. If I joined one, I’d be on missions all the time and couldn’t handle guild work.”

Yatrans thought for a moment.

Yatrans (thinking): So the guild creates adventurers, and parties form separately. Joining a famous party almost guarantees popularity… but they’re on a whole different level.

suzu: “Anyway, you understand now, right? Let’s talk about the mission.”

Yatrans: “Yeah, what is it?”

Eui: “Our mission is to protect a mana carriage on its way to the city.”

Yatrans (shocked): “A… what?!”

Eui: “It belongs to a wealthy merchant. The carriage is made of enchanted iron—very rare. If sold, it could fetch hundreds of thousands of Pi.”

Yatrans: “What?!”

Eui: “But our job is to protect it. The reward is 89K Pi, split between us.”

suzu & Yatrans (together, shocked): “Eighty-nine thousand?!”

Eui (confused): “Yatrans’ reaction I understand… but suzu, why are you shocked? Didn’t you read the mission details?”

suzu (embarrassed, laughing): “Well… I kind of forgot! Hehe…”

Eui jumped from her seat with determination.

Eui: “Alright guys, let’s go on a mission!”
