The sky was already starting to get darker and heavier, and the temperature was dropping drastically. On the television displayed in the front store, the lady on the news was talking about a snowstorm that will soon occur.
"HACHUU--"
The girl in red sniffed, rubbing her nose.
"Kerr, a snowstorm's about to occur. One would assume going straight to the woods at this time is an absolutely stupid move." She sneezed once more.
Ignoring the girl, Kerr's eyes stayed fixed at the the road further into the forest.
"Exactly why we need to search for shelter from the snowstorm."
"In the forest?! What shelter--a squirrel's nest!?" She exclaimed.
"Well it would be better than this snotty town. You think these people will let just any homeless teens in their home?" He argued. She opened her mouth, then closed it again. Grumbling in defeat.
"Stop pouting Andrea." He rolled his eyes. "Come on, let's be quick before the storm catches up." He walked and followed the road towards the woods, as Andrea sighs and followed behind.

The air was getting more foggy than before, to the point Andrea crashed into a tree branch. She rubbed her temple, frowning.
"Hey, we've been walking for ten minutes now. What exactly are we trying to find?" She turned towards the man behind her.
Kerr shortly answered 'shelter', as he turn on a lighter to warm himself up. The other scoffs at his answer.
"Well we better start searching for a hibernating bear then," She walked backwards to look at the man, unaware of the road behind her, "
because we're definitely not finding any shelter whatsoever, let alone a village--OW-"
She bumped on a pole and fell face first on the snow. It was such a pitiful scene that even Kerr was starting to feel guilty and considered helping her up. But he decides to throw away that idea and look away.
"Gosh, some friend you are."
Andrea got up trembling from embarassment, dusting off her face.
He coldly glared at her as a reply. Kerr turned his attention at the pole she bumped on, it was a wooden sign that said 'Welcome to the forest village'.
They both turned and stare further ahead, amidst the thick fog, they could make out street lamps flickering in the distant. There's a village in the middle of the wood, they thought.
He took a deep breath. Kerr buried his face deeper in his scarf and continued on, as Andrea threw a snowball at the back of his head for being a jerk and leaving her.
