Echoes from the underworld

The meeting with Asmodeus

The meeting with Asmodeus

Aug 26, 2025

Yume quietly sat on Kasu's bed when they entered his bedroom. The room was still  except for the wind that could be heard outside. He looked at Kasu, his best friend, the one he had sworn to protect, the one he had given so much of himself to. Yet after  all the time they spent together,  all the times they had fought side by side, Yume felt loneliness.

He had never asked Kasu for anything, and perhaps that was his greatest weakness always giving Kasu whatever he wanted without ever expecting anything in return. Every time he was near Kasu, Yume felt a painful reminder that his feelings would never be answered. Kasu, the strong, confident son of Draegon, never saw Yume in that way. Yume was his protector, a friend, but to Kasu, Yume was nothing more than that.

"You've never asked for my love, Kasu," Yume thought to himself quietly, his heart filled with pain. "Yet I give it freely, every day, every moment we share. I give it to you without expecting anything in return."
He watched Kasu, who at that moment was lost in his own thoughts, perhaps thinking about the events of the day or planning something.

Yume felt an ache in his chest, a feeling of being both close and unreachable. To Kasu, he was nothing more than a friend, a protector but to Yume, Kasu was so much more. He had tried to push away his feelings for Kasu, but he couldn't. Even though Kasu sometimes flirted with his protector, Yume knew it didn't mean anything.

"I am bound by duty and desire," Yume thought further. He was bound by his role as Kasu's protector, but there was also another feeling that had grown within him over the years—a longing  "I protect you, Kasu, because it is my mission and yet, every time I see you, I am reminded that I will never be more than a friend."
It was a bitter feeling, but one he had learned to live with. Yume knew he wouldn't be able to change anything, that Kasu would never see him the way he saw Kasu. So he sat there, silently, with his love deeply buried within him, always invisible to the one he longed for.

Kasu, as if sensing something was wrong, stood up and sat next to Yume on the bed, letting his arm rest around his shoulders. He felt the cold, soft skin of the fox demon's body against his own and pulled him a little closer.
"Yume" Kasu began, but paused, his face softening slightly. "You know you can talk to me, right?"

Yume felt his heart beat faster in his chest. He wanted to be strong, to smile and not show the feelings he had for Kasu. His eyes lingered on Kasu's face—so beautiful with his silver eyes and silver hair. It hurt even more when Kasu cared, but not in the way Yume longed for.

"I know," Yume whispered, sighing softly. "But sometimes it's easier to remain silent."
Kasu didn't press him. He just nodded, as if accepting Yume's words without needing to understand them.

He walked over to the window, and Yume got up from the bed and stood next to Kasu. They looked out at the night sky. Yume felt the warmth of Kasu's presence by his side, both a comfort and a torment at the same time. The wind outside whispered through the trees, and for a moment, they both stood in silence.

"You'll always be there for me, right?" Kasu asked softly, his voice distant, as if he too was lost in his own thoughts.
"Always," Yume answered, his voice steady, though it trembled inside. In that moment, Yume realized something he hadn't allowed himself to admit before: he would never stop loving Kasu. No matter how much it hurt, no matter how much he buried his feelings, they would always be there. But he would never tell Kasu, because to his lord, he was only a friend, his protector, and that was all Yume would ever be to him.

"Today, Yume, we are going to a club in the human world. The Dark Eclipse. It's a club for all of us who don't quite fit in the human world  " Kasu said in a low, almost whispering voice.
Yume looked at him with uncertain eyes, as if trying to understand if Kasu truly meant it. "That sounds... interesting." he replied slowly. Kasu couldn't help but smile when he saw Yume become so fascinated.
They stepped into the club, and Kasu immediately felt the familiar mix of scents—smoke, perfume, alcohol, and the almost electric scent of magic.

"What would you like to order?" the bartender asked, glancing at Kasu with a small smile on her lips.
"A whiskey and an absinthe," he said to the woman. She handed him the drinks. They left the bar and found a table to sit at.
Kasu had barely tasted his whiskey when Yume had already finished his absinthe.
He looked at his protector, a feeling of something elusive gnawing at him. Yume was attractive. His hair was long and deep red, but it was his eyes that fascinated Kasu. The right eye was ice blue, almost like a crystal. His left eye, reddish and intense,  both beautiful and terrifying. Yume's eyes reflected his dream power: the blue for calm dreams, the red for nightmares.
Kasu knew he wasn't in love with Yume, at least not in that way. Kasu couldn't deny it—Yume was beautiful. Kasu often flirted with the fox demon, but that didn't mean Kasu had feelings for his friend.

Yume was staring at someone across the room. Kasu looked at his protector and wondered who it was that he was staring at. "Who is he looking at? Is it a woman?" Kasu thought, feeling a sudden unease spreading through his body.
"You don't stand a chance. Most people here are vampires or werewolves," Kasu said, trying to tone down his own feelings and keep the conversation light.
But Yume didn't seem to hear him.
"But he's so beautiful, I want to talk to him," Yume replied, and Kasu could hear a longing in his voice, something he hadn't heard before.
Kasu furrowed his brow. "Who are you looking at, Yume?" he said, now more confused than ever. Yume didn't respond. Instead, he quickly rose from his chair, without giving Kasu a second glance. Kasu watched him walk away from the table.

Kasu followed Yume with his eyes, seeing him stop in front of a table where a demon sat in the company of a couple of vampires.
Kasu felt a cold shiver run through his body. What is he thinking? Yume was no victim to someone like Asmodeus—a demon of lust, manipulation, and forbidden knowledge. Kasu had heard the rumors about him. Asmodeus was one of the most powerful and dangerous demons in the underworld. Kasu had never spoken to him himself, but he knew he was dangerous, and Yume  walked up to him as if he wasn't afraid of Asmodeus.

The fox demon walked up to the table where the man sat, surrounded by vampires. At first, Yume thought he was a vampire too, but as he got closer, he sensed something was off. There was a chilling presence about him, powerful and unsettling. Yume felt a cold shiver down his spine as he realized who this demon was.

It was Asmodeus – the demon of lust, manipulation, and forbidden knowledge. His face was handsome, almost beautiful, and his muscular body spoke of his physical prowess. But there was more something dark that radiated from him. An underlying danger hung like a shadow in his presence, a reminder of the dark power within him.

Yume noticed the black tattoos winding up Asmodeus' arms and shoulders intricate pentagrams filled with dark energy. His long hair was black with purple highlights.
But what truly caught Yume's attention were Asmodeus' eyes. They were golden, intense, and glowing, filled with something Yume had never seen before. They were not just beautiful they were hypnotizing, seductive in a way that made Yume feel both drawn and terrified at the same time.

Yume felt a mix of fascination and fear. Why was he here, among all these vampires? It was a place few would feel comfortable in, but for Asmodeus, it seemed like he ruled the room, his presence so commanding that it made everything else feel still.
"Hey, can I sit here?" Yume asked, his voice calm but with an undercurrent of curiosity.
Asmodeus looked up at him.
"Who are you?" he asked, his voice smooth but sharp, carrying an edge of command.

"We should go. He's a demon, and they eat vampire souls," one of the vampires at the table whispered, as if not wanting Yume to hear.

Yume burst out laughing. "Where have you heard that demons eat souls?" he said, looking at the vampire in surprise. Didn't the vampire know that Asmodeus was a demon? Yume thought to himself, shifting his gaze from the vampire to Asmodeus, who merely smiled.

"It's alright, Yuna," Asmodeus said, turning to his companion. "It's just a story. You and Kyrin can leave. I'll see you later." The vampire gave Yume one last look before leaving with the other. Yume barely noticed they had left, lost in his own thoughts and feelings.

Asmodeus, now fully focused on him, grinned widely. He looked at Yume with a certain kind of fascination.
"Can I buy you a whiskey?" Asmodeus asked, his voice low.

"Sure" Yume replied, his heart racing a little faster, but he tried to hide it.

The demon sat back down after returning with the drinks, his gaze still fixed on Yume. He studied him carefully, intrigued by the beautiful fox demon's appearance—the two-toned eyes, one icy blue and the other red. For Asmodeus, Yume was both interesting and alluring. There was something about him, something that drew Asmodeus in, something he couldn't resist examining further.

Asmodeus, thoughts were conflicted. He was a demon of lust, manipulation, and forbidden Knowledge. Asmodeus often had dark intentions, and his games rarely ended well for those involved. He crushed the feelings of those he toyed with in the end. So, even though he felt an attraction to Yume, he was uncertain. Could there be something more between them, or was the fox demon just another pawn in a larger game that Asmodeus controlled?

Part of him wanted to play with Yume's emotions, see how far he could go, but another part of him knew that there was more—something he couldn't explain—and that scared him a little, because Asmodeus was rarely unsure about his own plans.

"What's your name?" Asmodeus asked, his voice now softer, more personal than before.
"I'm... Yume" said the fox demon, his voice nervous, though he tried to mask his unease.
"Asmodeus," he replied, almost as if expecting Yume to recognize the name.
"I know, or  I've heard of you," Yume answered, still a little nervous, but now more curious than afraid.

Yume knew Kasu was watching him, but why should he care? He could talk to whoever he wanted. Even though he was Kasu's protector, he didn't need to be by his side all the time. Kasu was strong; he could defend himself if something happened.
But before Yume even realized it, he felt Asmodeus pull him closer, his heart racing as Asmodeus kissed his lips. A jolt of electricity surged through him. He felt his body tense up, unsure of what to do, caught between the allure of something dangerous and his confusion. His thoughts spun in his head..." What's happening?" Yume wondered. "This isn't how things should be. I shouldn't be caught up in his game."

Yume tried to pull away, but Asmodeus' grip on him tightened. He lifted him off the chair. His heart hammered in his chest, a mix of fear and something else—something he couldn't define—rushed through him. "What is he doing?" Yume wanted to scream, but he couldn't. It was like he had lost his voice.

Asmodeus, with his dark, charismatic smile, said nothing. The world around them seemed to fade as Yume was carried away from the table. His thoughts raced, his emotions were mixed. This wasn't him. Yume was the one who was supposed to be in control, the one who protected, not the one swept away in someone else's game. But he couldn't deny the strong attraction.
Asmodeus' presence was intoxicating, magnetic. The way he moved, the power behind every action. Yume was unsure what to do. He saw that Kasu was watching him, "Should I care? "Yume wondered. "Should I go back? " But even as he thought of Kasu, he couldn't pull away. "Maybe this is what I need?" he thought.

Before he could come to any conclusion, Asmodeus pulled him towards the corridor leading to the restrooms. The sounds from the club faded as they walked, replaced by a tense silence. Only their footsteps and the muffled music could be heard in the corridor. Yume's breath became faster as he struggled to stay calm.

Asmodeus stopped in front of a door, his golden eyes gleaming as he smirked at the fox demon.
"You have no idea what you're getting into, do you, Yume?" Asmodeus whispered in Yume's ear. Yume swallowed, his throat dry.
"I don't know," he admitted softly.

A silent laugh escaped Asmodeus as his fingers gently traced Yume's arm before he opened the door, dimming the light from the restroom, which flickered.
"Good. That makes this even more interesting."
Yume didn't know what to expect, or what was about to happen, but he knew one thing for sure: nothing would ever be the same again.

Asmodeus ripped off Yume's black leather jacket, when they come inside the bathroom,
and a mix of irritation and confusion washed over him. "What are you doing? That was my favorite jacket!" Yume exclaimed, though there was a certain joy in his voice.

Asmodeus smirked at him with a mocking grin. "I'll pay for it so you can buy a new one," he said, planting a kiss on Yume's cheek. "And I promise, you'll get something much better than a jacket."

Yume didn't know what to feel his body was filled with both excitement and unease. What kind of game was this, and what did Asmodeus really want?

Asmodeus kissed Yume's neck gently, his lips light and soft against his sensitive skin. His hands were as light as feathers, as if he wanted to make sure it wouldn't feel uncomfortable. Yume felt a tingling warmth spread through his body, but also a nervousness that made him hold back. He looked at Asmodeus, his eyes filled with a mix of worry and uncertainty.

"Wait I've  never been with anyone before" Yume said nervously, his voice shaking a little.
Asmodeus met his gaze and smiled a calming and soft smile. "I will take it carefull" he said, his voice both was  gentle  which made Yume feel a little more at ease, even though his heart was racing.

Without saying more, Asmodeus carefully lifted Yume, his hands steady but gentle. Yume felt his back lean against the wall, and his legs instinctively wrapped around Asmodeus's waist,  that made him feel more vulnerable, but also somewhat more open. He was still confused, but part of him just wanted to give in, because the feeling right now was too strong to ignore.

Asmodeus looked at him with a captivating and intense gaze, as if he could read every little hesitation in Yume's movements. It made Yume feel both safe and nervous at the same time.
The light kisses on his neck, the feather-light fingers brushing his skin everything felt both electric and good at once. Yume never thought he would feel this way, but Asmodeus truly seemed to know what he was doing.

Kasu Lucian's life is defined by loss, betrayal, and an unyielding thirst for power. Raised by his emotionally distant father, Draegon Lucian, Kasu was taught that love was a weakness and power must be earned through strength alone. This harsh ideology was enforced when Draegon killed Kasu's wife, Senora Lucian, to sever his emotional ties and weaken him.

Yume Zion is a Fox Demon and protector of Kasu Lucian, whom he has loved unconditionally since childhood, though his feelings remain unrequited. His loyalty to Kasu leads to emotional turmoil, especially as he navigates a passionate yet complicated affair with Asmodeus, the Demon of Lust.

Asmodeus, the Demon of Lust and Manipulation, is shaped by a history of obsessive and controlling relationships. He cannot separate love from domination, using affection as a means of power. His most recent obsession is Yume Zion, a powerful fox demon. What began as a manipulative game to seduce Yume quickly evolved into a deep, infatuated bond.
