The night was darker than it had ever been. The Syrath Lunara hung fractured in the sky, its lower half broken apart, crimson shards floating around it like dying embers.
Far beyond the walls of the Narcis manor, a figure stood alone in a chamber lit only by the remaining pieces of the bloody moon. Lucius Virell traced his fingers along the lines of the glowing symbols, his green eyes reflecting their ominous light.
“At last…” he whispered, “The twins will soon awaken! But…” he paused, lips curling into a shadowed smile. “Whether she is a savior or a destroyer… that, I will decide.”
The array pulsed, responding to his words, its light spreading like veins of fire through the room, and then, all at once, it vanished.
“Master!” Aloen barged in, his golden eyes sharp with desperation. “Philamina is still missing, I’ve tried everything to find her, but to no avail. I know you’ve always told us to rely on ourselves but this time I must beg for your help.”
Lucius tilted his head, keeping his back to Aloen. His gaze lingered, unreadable, and then, slowly, a vile, deliberate smile spread across his lips.
“Do not fret, young Lord. I promise… I’ll help you find her, though finding her alive after all this time may prove… tricky”
The chamber fell silent again, leaving only the sound of his robes brushing against the floor as he vanished into the darkness.
In the hidden realm of Petrichor, the spirits stirred. Their forms, fragile as mist yet eternal as stone, gathered in solemn circles, as if enacting a sacred ritual.
“She has finally crossed the threshold,” Ansel murmured, voice like rippling water.
“The curse and blessing are bound within her,” another whispered.
A third, cloaked in shimmering light, turned its faceless gaze skyward.
“The sisters have awakened… The worlds… will tremble!”
Their whispers dissolved into the wind, carried across the kingdom, sending omens felt by those who travelled between light and shadow.
Across lands and realms, shadows stirred, and threads of destiny tightened.
Mia’s story was just beginning.
The entire world will change.
