Rory sat trembling in the chair as furniture scraped around and doors slammed. He watched in stunned disbelief as Dillon chased after Rin. A scoff from the table and movement forced him to realize he still wasn't alone. He hesitated to turn, watching from vailed lashes as Sabastian slid from the table and slid his jeans back on.
Sabastian shook his head as he turned toward the door Dillon and Rin had gone through. "Look what you've done..."
Rory's mouth dropped open in stunned disbelief. "What I've done?! Was I supposed to sit here and take the harassment? To what extent? Until one of you rapes me?"
Sabastian rolled his eyes. "They would never go that far. The unwilling is no fun..." His eyes roamed over Rory. "And you are a stupid hoe... I'm not mad, though. More for me. If you knew what Rin was really like, you wouldn't want to share either..." He shrugged. "Same with Dillon, though Dillon is more... how you say... cut off emotionally..." He snarled up his nose in distaste. "I don't see what they see in you other than to piss off the father..." He shrugged again as he made his way toward the same door Rin and Dillon had left through. "Oh well... Hopefully it won't be too hard to get Rin's mood good again."
Rory didn't move as he thought over all he'd learned so far and tried to piece together their meanings. Rin had gotten irate the second he'd called him privileged. Looking around this mansion, there were no other words for the person living there... was there? He scrunched his brows. "But then... Why would people like me be hired..." His eyes moved around the elegant dining room once again. It definitely wasn't a room designed with a man in his mid to late twenties.
Rory blew out a sigh as he straightened his clothes and pushed up from the chair. He had a job to do. He may have zoned out during most of the interview earlier, but he was made aware Rin was a difficult person... and his job was to deal with it. His attention moved to the mess left behind on the table, and he began clearing off the mess. I now understand why Mr. Perish pried so much. It's a different circumstance, but I'll have to handle it the same way. If I can handle Mike, then this will be no problem. I simply need to implement the same tactics...
Rory worked out a strategy as he carried the dishes to the kitchen and cleaned up. Once finished, he made his way through the house following the low rumble of laughter echoing throughout. He sighed as he entered the room, his head slightly lowered and his hands fumbling with his shirt hem. He hesitated as the laughter died out and three sets of eyes turned to him.
"Well? Change your mind or here to bring down the mood again?" Rin bit out as he took a generous drink of wine straight from the bottle and pulled Sabastian closer.
Rory frowned as his eyes moved to Dillon, who shook his head slightly. Rory swallowed and forced himself to continue, "I apologize. I realize I didn't properly pay attention during the explanation of the situation here, and you've made that clear. Now, if you'd please forgive me, I would be more than willing to follow your requests and work toward an amicable solution that will satisfy both you and your father." A curt laugh cut through the silence, causing Rory to jerk upright. His eyes locked with violent violet eyes as they glared at him.
"You really didn't hear a single thing he said, did you? What the fuck did you do, fall asleep? Daydream?" Rin pushed Sabastian away as he rose from the couch.
"Rin, don't." Dillon sat forward, reaching for him, but Rin pulled away.
Rin snarled a corner of his lip as he moved forward. "No, I have to know whether this kid is for real or not."
Dillon blew out a heavy sigh. "Obviously, he is."
An almost cruel smile curved Rin's lips. "Even better then... Take a seat, Rory. We have a lot to discuss."
Rin's eyes raked over Rory, a malicious snarl to his lips as he took his seat and snatched the wine from Sabastian. "Rule one: What happens in this house stays in this house, when my father or Beth calls for their updates."
Rory frowned, already finding Rin's 'rules' problematic. "I understand I missed some big revelation during my meeting with your father, but wouldn't I expose that fact and get myself fired even faster if I lie to them when they call?"
Rin was just about to go off when Dillon chimed in. "That's not what Rin means. Rin means..." His eyes moved to Rin, then back to Rory. "His personal life. You can report work progress, which is Beth and Rodric's main concern, where you are involved... but Beth will try to press you for..." His eyes moved dramatically slowly over Rin and Sabastian, drawing emphasis to his next words. "More private affairs..."
"Two." Rin bit out. "Don't question what you've been told to do by either of us. You will be working with us, for us. My dad only signs your paycheck, got it? Fucking you is only the more entertaining, fun way to get you fired... There are plenty of other ways."
Rory swallowed hard as he nodded.
Dillon blew out a heavy sigh. "You will be working as an assistant, don't get that wrong. We will need skills in a wide variety of areas, but I'm sure it won't be anything you can't handle. As we said, play nice and we'll work around as much as we can."
"Three, avoid private meetings with my father and Beth as much as possible. When possible, record or have your phone on so that one of us can hear." A smirk curved Rin's lips as he ran his hands over Sabastian's body. "You know, sitting on my lap like this would be ideal. Then I could hear everything."
Rory's gaze moved around the room in shock. Rin was back to the seduction tricks already?! Sabastian simply shrugged as he continued trailing kisses along Rin's throat and rubbing himself against him like a cat in heat. His cheeks heated as he nodded.
A twisted smile curved Rin's lips. "I'm half tempted to have you bind our new contract with your body, but the more I think about it, your naivety could come in handy."
"Naivety?" Rory asked in confusion.
Dillon nodded. "I was thinking the same thing. It would keep him here regardless of what Beth tries to pull. Your father would simply have to ask a handful of the right questions to determine whether or not you've sullied his new minion or not."
Rin gave a half-smirk, half-snarl while egging Sabastian on as if for no other reason than to taunt Rory. "True... but I'm sure there's still a way to have fun with him..."
Dillon finally blew out a sigh. "Not where your father is involved and you know it. You know how he is."
Rory frowned. "I don't understand...What is all this with Mr. Perish? And I've already said multiple times, I'll not be sleeping with anyone regardless!"
Rin narrowed his eyes. "This is getting boring now. Four, if I say fuck off... fuck off. You understand?"
Rory sprang from the seat, but Dillon grabbed his hand and coaxed him back down.
"We're not done here." Dillon shot Rin a glare as he retracted his hand from Rory and leaned back into his own seat. "To answer your question and Rin's frequent hostilities... There is a lot of stress that comes with being a creator... let alone being the star writer for your..." Dillon's eyes met Rin's as he struggled for the correct word to describe Rodric's parenting thus far.
"Asshole? Oppressive? Cock sucker? Suffocating? Tyrannical?" Rin filled in for him.
Dillon sighed heavily. "Those... those could work, I suppose." Dillon reached forward and retrieved the wine bottle, taking a long chug. He turned his attention back to Rory. "Any questions?"
Rory bit his lip. He wanted to ask so many questions, but realized this was not the time. "Is... is there anything else?"
Dillon shook his head. "We'll address everything else as we come across it." He took another long drink straight from the bottle before offering it to Rory. When Rory refused, he frowned. "What now? You prefer a glass? Want a fresh bottle we haven't drunk out of yet?" He pushed up from the seat, but Rory stopped him. Dillon's eyes moved to the tiny hand gripping his shirt hem before shifting his gaze to Rory's troubled eyes and arching a brow.
Rory quickly jerked his hand away. "No, it's not that... I've just... already drank enough at dinner..." Rory's eyes moved nervously from Dillon over to Rin, who had slid the back of Sabastian's pants down and was fingering his ass. Rory's eyes widened and quickly shot back up to Dillon. "I... I... I'll just go back to my room..."
Dillon glanced over and shrugged. "If you're going to stay here and work with us, you might as well get used to seeing this kind of thing. It's not altogether uncommon... even when Rin's not taunting someone new."
A wicked smile spread across Rin's lips. "We could just blindfold him." Rin licked his lips as his eyes moved hungrily over Rory. "Look at him. Flushed cheeks, clenched fists. I bet if you checked the front of his trousers, he'd have full wood."
Rory shook his head, his face turning pale. "I'd do whatever is required of me, but not this... If you're done... if we're done. I'll be leaving now..." His entire body trembled as he began to stand, memories of what Mike had forced him to do countless times flashing through his mind, drowning out the taunting, teasing words coming from across the room. His legs buckled as he tried to stand, but Dillon caught him.
Dillon frowned as he stared down at Rory, reading the terror reflected in his distant gaze. He helped Rory right himself and held on as he struggled to achieve stability. "Enough for now, Rin. Come on, I'll show you back to your room." Dillon shifted his hold to the small of Rory's back and sent Rin a glare when he began to protest.
"Party pooper..." Rin muttered before shrugging. "No matter... Be a good boy and go get the treasure box." He purred into Sabastian's ear but didn't break eye contact with Rory as he was led from the room.
Rory watched Sabastian obediently get up and go to a shelf, and retrieved a large, lidded box. He then brought it back to Rin as he was led from the room. There was no doubt in Rory's mind what was inside. Sure enough, within minutes, moans began to echo down the long hallway. Rory could feel his face turn red and his body harden against his will.
The hand around his lower back slid away. Rory risked a glance up.
Dillon tugged the band from his hair and ran his fingers through the long strands before taking a generous drink from the bottle. "Listen, I can tell you're uncomfortable... and it's about more than just Rin's aggressive come-ons... If you're serious about staying and about helping us out... then consider it a test. Rin's really not a bad person once you get to know the person under the act."
Rory clasped a hand over his arm and rubbed it. His eyes searched the other man as they navigated the heavily shadowed halls. "And you? Am I to believe you're a decent person just because you helped me out back there?"
Rory's words caught Dillon by surprise. He pulled Rory to a stop in the hall, the sounds from the living room still reverberating around them. He took a step closer before he began speaking. "Am I decent?" His eyes moved from the nearly empty bottle in his hand before gliding over Rory. "No... Not in the least... But there are some boundaries that even I won't cross. Rin's problem is... Rin isn't used to hearing no... I'm used to rejection, and I know when it's authentic." He tilted his head. "I don't think you would say yes tonight even if your job wasn't on the line... am I right?"
Rory lowered his head as he squeezed his arm tighter. It felt like Dillon's eyes were seeing straight into his mind... his soul... and he hated it. "No... I wouldn't... I... Have no interest in that kind of thing."
Dillon tilted his head, his eyes moving over Rory's lower region. "No? Did your body not get that memo?"
Rory's blush deepened as he released his arm and tugged his baggy sweater lower. He couldn't bring himself to answer or meet Dillon's burning gaze, however.
Dillon clasped Rory's chin and tugged his face up to meet his gaze. "If you don't want unwanted attention from Rin, do what you're told to do, don't fuck us over, and..." His eyes moved pointedly down to the front of Rory's slacks. "Keep your body in check." He released Rory's face and pointed the bottle toward a door a few rooms down. "That one is yours. If you need anything, Rin is directly across the hall, and when I stay here, I usually stay in the one right beside it... Lock your door. Sabastian tends to get drunk and sleepwalks." Dillon gave him a charming grin as he glanced down at Rory's tented pants. "Plus, who knows, if you don't lock your door, and I drink another bottle, I may become even more pushy than Rin."
Rory brushed off the last comment as another thought hit him, and his brows knotted. "You don't share a room?"
Dillon shrugged. "When I'm in the mood... We'll see how the night goes." He sent Rory a wink as he lifted the bottle back to his lips and turned back toward the living room and the sounds coming from it.
