Bigger, faster, better. That's what they always say, about the next new
thing. Me, I've got simple needs. As long as it works, that's fine by
me. The same is true for romance, I think. It's not about who has the
biggest house, the fastest car, or the better kitchen appliances. It's
about making sure things between you are functional, that there's a
complete circuit. Love, trust, and communication. Charge these things
through a coiled hug, attraction is inevitable. That's just
electromagnetics at work. But it's not a modern convenience, it takes
time for that static to build. Just like in nature, it's a lightning
strike when it wants to be. It needs all the right atmospheric
conditions, and you never know just how much of it you're gonna get.
That's why some look for quicker, more predictable ways to plug
themselves into someone else's heart... like big houses, fast cars, and
servitude. When it ain't there, they just throw juice at the problem.
Overloading a circuit burns out the wires, breaks the fuse. Blows the
whole damn station. Or maybe it's not love they want at all – just the
power. Too much love is a storm, it'll tear the roof off your house if
you're not prepared. Too much power... it can be an electric throne. The
kind you don't stand up from.
