Jenny: Hey, girls, shouldn't we meet Jessie and Emma upstairs?
Sofie: Oh no, I totally spaced on that.
Luna: My sugar high wore off a bit ago.
Olivia: This is what happens when you start snacking and forget why we came here.
Stephanie: Let’s rush over before they begin the sleepover without us.
[Once the girls had finished their snacks in the kitchen, they climbed the left staircase toward Jessie's room, where Emma was just wrapping up the story about the rumor she was sharing with Jessie.]
Emma: Yes, that's what the rumor mentioned. We aren't sure who the third person is, but some students are saying they're from our school.
Jessie: That sounds really frightening. I'm relieved we are safe inside.
Stephanie: Apologies for the delay; it turns out Sofie got a sugar high, and Luna is doing okay.
Jessie: No problem; Emma was just sharing that 'rumor' she heard about what's happening right now.
Sofie: Yeah, that 'rumor' also scared me, but I'm happy we’ll be safe in here.
Stephanie: What are we waiting for? Let’s kick off this sleepover.
[Jessie, Jenny, Emma, Stephanie, Olivia, Sofie, and Luna begin enjoying themselves by engaging in activities like pillow fights, card games, etc.]
[After a long walk, Caroline and the two new recruits reach the destination.]
Evil boy: Hold on, weren't you dressed differently?
Caroline: I was, but after you and the evil girl took a short break, I dashed home to change into something that blends in with you guys, to avoid being recognized.
Evil boy (with suspicion): Ah, understood.
Evil girl: Is this the right place?
Caroline: Yes! We should be stealthy as we go in. This house is ancient, and even the slightest movement makes a noise.
[The trio, being crafty, discreetly disable the door and slip inside through the living room, where they spot another door.]
Caroline: Let's go through this door; it takes us to the kitchen.
Sleepovers are meant to be fun-a mix of giggles and late-night treats, But this one feels off. Someone in the group is not who they claim to be. Dive into this short play in which one of the characters is not who they appear to be.
