A cold wind subtly blows through the open warehouse door. It's an unpleasant chill. The feeling of being discovered is already bad enough, but the cold wind makes it even worse.
The gigantic bug takes a big step toward the Red Rooster and says.
“Well, since you've been caught by me as promised, you should come back obediently, shouldn’t you?”
The bug, Mond, sounds blunt, as if this is a familiar routine. It even sounds a little bored of the situation.
“Mond! Let me go this time, please. I really want to go to Tarin Forest this time.”
Mond is surprised but doesn't show it.
“Oh, Sir Eat, don’t be like that. It’s a promise, isn’t it? Let’s just go back.”
Mond flatly refused his request. But the Red Rooster could not go back like this. He really wanted to go to Tarin Forest this time.
Red Rooster: Please, I’m begging you. Just say you didn't see me, okay? I’ll never forget this favor. Please!
Mond felt a flicker of annoyance but decided to remain calm. And he made up his mind to reason with him step by step.
Mond: Even if I let you go, Sir Eat, you won't be able to reach Tarin Forest anyway~ You know that, don’t you? Our troops are packed around Tarin Forest. You’ll be caught before you can even take a step. Just wait for the next opportunity, Sir Eat.
Eat repeated his pleas many times, but it was no use. Now, Eat was also starting to get upset by the frequent rejections, and their conversation became more and more emotional.
Eat: If you're going to be like this, I have no choice. I’ll knock you down and go my own way.
Mond was dumbfounded but replied calmly again.
Mond: You have to let go of the glory of the past. Sir Eat… you've lost everything. Your power, which once made our Barak tremble in fear, has been gone for a long time. Queen Sage deliberately took you captive and made you a subject of ridicule and shame... [Mond couldn't finish his sentence, seeing the pathetic state of Eat] I understand. You need hope to live… Let’s just go back for now. We can go back and think of a way to go to Tarin Forest together. There’s no way right now. Really.
Their conversation continued, but they couldn't narrow the gap between their opinions. Just then, something massive was walking toward the bright light leaking from the warehouse.
The conversation between the two beings, who had now become very emotional, turned to harsh words.
Eat: I can still take you down easily! Stand back! You might get seriously hurt!
Mond: Pfft~ Who are you going to take down, you fried chicken! I can be scary when I’m angry too, Sir Eat!
Eat: I’ll show you what a food chain is! How dare a bug act so cocky!
Mond: Why don’t you try? You’re going to go to Tarin Forest looking like that? Don’t make me laugh, Sir Eat~
While their conversation was ongoing, the foot of a gigantic bug approaching the door became visible. A bug three times bigger than Mond, Melon, had arrived.
Mond: Stop! Let’s just go now, Sir Eat. This useless talk is exhausting. And have you ever seen me go anywhere alone? I may be low-ranking, but I am still an officer!
Eat: [Trembling] … Me… Melon…
Melon is a combat-type Barak. It is bigger than the officer Mond, but it is not the largest type of bug. Barak usually use their yellow antennae freely, like animal ears, or as a weapon. Their bodies are purple or blue, and their eyes and claws can be the same color as their antennae. They have a thick fur between their head and torso, making them look warm. Barak’s shell is light but tough and durable. It cannot be damaged by simple bullets or blunt weapons.
Mond looked at the resigned Eat. With a fond and affectionate heart, he offered warm words once more.
Mond: There is definitely hope, Sir Eat. Let’s wait for the right time together. I'll help with your plan to go to Tarin Forest. For now, just come back with me, and we can prepare there. Please?
Eat, in his desperate state, with the long-suffering time and disappearing hope, lost his mind. Mond’s warm words only caused more pain for the despairing Eat.
Eat finally took out a secret weapon that he had planned to use as a last resort in front of Tarin Forest. It looked like a red, long, round can, like a missile. Countless secret weapons poured out from behind Eat onto the floor.
Mond: Huh? What are those? Where did all those come from? No! How could so many things have been hidden inside that tiny body?
Eat: Let me go… I have to go to Tarin Forest…
Mond: Calm down, Sir Eat! What are those things~
Eat: This is a pesticide bomb made by Emperor Gordic of Loran to exterminate Barak… Stand back!
[He made it as a hobby, so its effectiveness is unknown]
Mond: Are you threatening us with a pesticide now, Sir Eat? That would never work~
Eat: This is my last warning!
Mond finally lost his patience and blurted out harsh words. At his words, Eat lost his composure and immediately gave the command to use the weapon and pressed the activation button.
“Roll-roll!”
Upon the activation command, the weapons leaped into the air, waiting for the user's command in standby mode.
Eat: Aaaaaah~ I can't take it anymore! Go!
The weapons all flew toward the Barak. Everyone expected gas or liquid with pesticide components to be sprayed, but they defied all expectations and spewed out a massive explosion and heat.
Using that moment, Eat exerted all his strength to push through the Barak, pass through the door, and succeed in getting out. Even while running, pushing through the Barak, and getting out of the door, the explosions did not stop.
Eat, who had leaped with all his might, landed gently in a place much farther away than expected, carried by the force of the explosion from the warehouse.
The loud explosion caused a ringing in Eat's ears that wouldn't stop. Dizziness was added to the mix. Even as he lost consciousness, he left a final message.
“Gah… Loran! This is a bomb…”
[Collapsing]
“Just because you wrote ‘pesticide’ on it doesn’t make it one… damn you…”
[Thud]
Eat passed out on the spot. All the while, the gigantic explosion from the warehouse behind him did not stop.
