I feel like all her self deprecation and the ML's kindness would be more impactful if she'd actually lived more of OG!Yerin's life and personally experienced most of the neglect and abuse.
As it is, it feels like she's a third party here casually insulting this girl every time she talks poorly about "herself" even though she's obviously an innocent victim here.
