Chapter 19.

Lost Illusions.

When dawn returned to the human world, the prince left, leaving gold and precious jewels as a memento for Fleyra. The night had been one of total ecstasy, and the human had conceived...

Upon reaching the Celestial Kingdom, the clouds felt unbalanced, everyone moved differently, as if a before and after had been marked. Despite what was believed, it hadn't been only Magnus who had disobeyed the voice of the Great Immortal that day...

Indifference still resounded everywhere, as if this were the least of his punishments. However, several celestials approached him, asking where he had been, but the prince lied to them, saying he had been in his abode, that he had been meditating...

Although everyone believed him, the Great Immortal also heard his lie and called him to his private chamber. There he asked him, ¿Why?  ¿Why disobey my words for a woman?  ¿Haven't I given you a title anyone would have desired? ¿Haven't I allowed you to walk freely in the Kingdom of Heaven and granted you the privilege of being the favorite among so many? ¿Why love her and swear your love to her? ¿Why beg for a woman, for a human? ¿Don't you need your feathers, and wasn't the pain enough?

Give me an explanation of why you have disobeyed and lied to me. Then he replied, Because it's not fair that only humans have the right to experience other kinds of pleasures. It's not fair that women are only allowed to them. 

And if you created them just like us, ¿why didn't you give us the same rights? ¿What makes humans so different from us? ¿Why do they have the right to experience other kinds of pleasures, and we have to settle for only what is allowed?

¿Don't you think that's an unjust act?, But the Great Immortal replied: Do not reproach my words, nor the rules, nor creation; the wicked were designed differently. You are more perfect and do not need a woman to reproduce, you do not need carnal pleasures as a measure of life. 

Just look at you: you are wrapped in greed, in deceit. Humans are not like you, so pure and so noble. This time I forgive you, and I will not harm the woman, but you are forbidden to enter the Human Realm.

You will no longer be able to cross the Barrier that divides you, and this will be the last time we speak of that mortal, because humans have the capacity to fall in love countless times, but you, you can only fall in love once in this life, and that love is for me. Remember that and keep in mind that there will be no more opportunities. I will not forgive you a third time.

Magnus appreciated the Creator's sincerity, however, in his heart he still believed that the action was unfair because it was as if humans had more privileges than them, that now he could not go to the mortal Kingdom was only marking a clear division of favored species, because although he had access to the Creator and was considered the prince, it was as if the Great Immortal was protecting humans like a divine treasure.
