Chapter 9.
Red Sheets.
The girls knocked softly on the door, using their voices as sweet and docile as possible to help him open the door. However, there was no answer, so they struggled with the handle until they opened it, then walked closed it in the darkness...
Under their shoes, glass crunched with each step, and when they reached the bed, it was stained red, not just anywhere; it was written in blood: “The Cradle Defiler Died Here”. But the body was nowhere to be seen. They turned the bed over, checked the closets, even the ventilation ducts, opened the windows, and simply shouted:
¡¡¡HE'S MISSING, DAD'S NOT HERE!!!
The boys immediately ran inside, turned on the lights, and sure enough, he was nowhere to be seen. There was only the message on the sheets in his blood. It was then that Ibis, looking at the letters, said: he's made a pact with something, probably from another dimension.
That's why he needed the mirrors, that's why he needed the isolation, that's why 10 years and a month have passed. Because he was waiting for the right moment for the pact to be made. But why would he simply say, "The Cradle Defiler died here"
¿Where has he gone?
Zyrian clenched his fists, swallowed, and simply answered: The Thertods. Once when we went, they said that if you want to achieve something, you have to give a gift to death.
That's why he weakened his body, so that it would be pure. After all, he's still a genius, a pure body with a disturbed mind, which makes the best combination to fulfill the heart's desires...
Lymnades responded: But ¿what does this mean that we have to search for him beyond the twilight, beyond the barriers of the world? A person whose body is weak and whose temple has been desecrated by his own darkness doesn't disappear by his own hand, much less would he write with his blood that the version he most yearns for is dead. Patrick Tempus would never let the Cradle Defiler die...
He and the Defiler were one and the same. They were separated 10 years ago, and since then, everything began to go downhill in his personal life. It's impossible for someone who barely basked in the sun to escape without us noticing.
But the reality was clear: Patrick had disappeared; he had died, or he was alive, or perhaps he was a living dead person. The boys were desperate. They had taken photos of the place, but they hadn't dared move anything at all.
They tried to ask Richthofen and Anne for help, but the calls simply wouldn't go through. Brianna wasn't answering either. When Caesar answered and they mentioned the disappearance and sent him the photos, he simply told them: Get out of that place immediately unless you want to be trapped in both timelines, because a portal to the past has opened. My wife says that if you write in blood that something is dead, you can travel to the past to retrieve it...
But instead, you'll have to leave something there so as not to alter the fabric of time. Get out of that place…
¡¡¡NOW, PHENOMENA!!!
The boys hung up and left, but the second they set foot outside the mansion, an iridescent barrier rose inches from them, and they could no longer enter unless they were willing to die here in the present to search for him in the past.
