The clouds above may be white as cotton, but this morning Lucia seemed even paler. Luc is not the biggest morning person, but Lin noticed that her friend seemed rather upset about something. "Lucia, you look awful." She bluntly said.
Lucia looked to the side, giving Lin a glance before letting out yet another sigh. It was the fifth one she'd let out and they're not even halfway at their destination. "I feel awful." The braided girl finally said after a while. "Do you remember when Ms. Hanagaki asked to speak to my mom?"
"Yeah, I remember."
Lucia stopped in her tracks and turned her face towards a nearby fence, she bumped her forehead against it and groaned loudly. "The worst thing ever is gonna happen, I'm gonna get a second Olivia living in my house."
"Olivia cloned herself and the clone is gonna live at your house?"
After a sixth sigh Lucia turned forward again and continued walking while talking. "Apparently Ms. Hanagaki has a niece; the same age as us. She's gonna be transferring to our school and for some weird reason living at my house."
"That's weird. I thought Hanagaki had her own house, we visited it and everything."
"Yes, but because of the frequent break ins she's worried about having a kid live there. Her niece is coming over here alone, since her parents are busy with work or something."
"I guess that kinda makes sense…? Still though, why your house?"
"That's the same thing I asked!" Lucia said with her hands raised high. "I don't wanna have a little brown nosing teacher's pet around. I'd rather have a regular pet, one that won't tattle on me for not doing my homework when I'm supposed to or staying up late on a week day."
"You…seem to have a pretty bad opinion about this girl. Is she really that bad?"
Lucia shrugged. "Not sure, I haven't met her yet."
Usually Lucia got along with anyone and everyone, even with Olivia. It was rare to hear her blatantly bad mouth and complain about someone, even weirder that it's apparently about someone she doesn't know yet. Seeing her friend get so livid about someone, it felt weirdly refreshing for Lin. Eventually they reached the entrance gate of Sellavie though; Lucia took a deep breath to calm down and wore her usual face again.
The moment they arrived in class something seemed wrong. Everyone sitting inside stood from their seats and rushed towards Lucia. Déjà-vu, it felt like the first day after summer break again.
Michael excitedly asked: "Have you met the transfer student yet? Is she hot?"
Rosario shoved Michael away and grabbed Lucia's shoulders. "I heard she's Japanese, was she actually born and raised in Japan or is she American on the inside like Katie?" With perfect accuracy, Katie threw a pencil towards Rosario's head with the sharp end front.
With Rosa down on the ground it gave Xaiden a chance to step up. "Heard the transfer student's related to Hanagaki. Say, how come she's living with you instead of her? Is there perhaps something secretly going on between Ms. Hanagaki and Mrs. Archer?"
"EW! Gross! Don't even- Why would you think that?!" Lucia shook her head and stepped away from the crowd, at least she tried too but everyone just followed her until her seat was surrounded. "I don't know anything about this new girl, my mom sprung this on me last minute. I'm just just as lost as the rest of you guys." It seems that answer wasn't satisfactory because people continued to ask things Lucia couldn't answer.
Sieglinde raised her hand and slammed it down on the teacher's desk, the force of her palm leaving an imprint. She glared at everyone surrounding Lucia, her stare was almost as intimidating as Sunshine's; who was glaring at Lin for waking her up. Sieglinde let out a beast-like growling sound as there were still some who wouldn't leave Lucia's desk, it freaked Sunshine out enough for her to turn her eyes away.
There was only one person left, only one who wasn't scared off by Lin. One girl, who didn't even care about the transfer student at this moment. Ingrid walked up to Lin; closing in face to face. Rosario woke up while they stood there in silence, initially standing between them but quickly hurrying off with the sharp pencil end still stuck in her head.
"Looks like you're back to full health, Neapolitan. About time, we still haven't finished our match and I've been itching to get back to it."
Sieglinde cringed. "Ingrid, I'm not playing another one on one game with you."
"Not another! It's the same game just continued! Last time you got KO'd before the bell rung so…so you have to play again! You already said yes last time so you HAVE to finish this time!!!"
"Darling, the bell rung like a minute after Sieglinde went down." Katie commented from behind.
"E- Every second counts on the field…"
Sieglinde brushed Ingrid off and went to her seat, as she sat she noticed Luc gazing at her from beside. She grinned at Lin with her tongue slightly sticking out, Lin stuck her tongue out too in return.
Ingrid grumbled but there was nothing she could say or do now, as Yumeko had entered the room. The redhead quickly rushed to her seat and everyone in the room went quiet. Yumeko was about to say something when suddenly her eyes went wider than her mouth. She looked at the exact spot that Lin had slapped. Ms. Hanagaki rubbed her temple for a bit before giving Lin an annoyed look, she doesn't even have to ask to know who left that print while she was away.
For now she shoved that matter away, there was something bigger on her mind after all. "Everyone listen closely! Before we start class, I'd like you to be on your best behavior today. Someone new is gonna be joining us…" She held her arm out and gestured towards the door. "Ichigo, come on in."
The door creaked open: A girl with long, fluffy, pink hair came in. She wore a red suspender skirt and a white blouse with short, puffy sleeves. For whatever reason, Rosario seemed excited at the way the pink haired girl was dressed.
"Go on, introduce yourself."
The girl nodded, she seemed to be nervous…but nowhere near as unnerved as Lin. The pink haired girl, the same one from when she was down in that basement, it's that same kid without a single doubt in her mind.
"Nice to meet you all! My name is Ichigo Hanagaki." The girl raised a finger and tapped it against her chin. "Let's see…there's not much I can say about myself. I'm just your typical everyday angel!"
A few members of the class seemed perturbed, especially Pascal, by that statement.
"My favorite food would have to be cotton candy. My birthday is in spring. My death day is in winter…Hm…There's gotta be something else about me to make a good impression…"
Even more became confused at the "death day" part.
"Ah! I know, how about I ask you guys a question?" She raised an arm and gestured towards Ms. Hanagki. "About my auntie, is it true that she murdered your last teacher? I believe his name was…Mr. Archer?"
Another pencil went flying in the air; The one who threw it was none other than Lucia, who didn't have the same excellent aim as Katie. The pencil ended up missing by a mere inch, cracking upon impact against the chalkboard.
