Its not like my cries can reach out to anyone… Not when its so late at night. And I can't find a way to force my body into sleep and wash away this despair from my body or all the feelings of fear I have.

However, I saw a light? As I heard the doors open up? Who was there?! Was it an attacker?! Was it someone who wanted me dead?

"Hey… Kokoro? Are you alright?" A voice asked… One that I had recognized instantly, Orihime, but what was she doing here?

"Please… Don't cry… I know, you probably can't sleep either. In a place so dark, it has to be scary, right?" Orhime asked as she approached me, with a tender smile on her face, one that I couldn't see in the darkness until she came next to my crib and bended down.

"But don't worry, I'm here for you, please… Won't you take my hand?" Orhime asked me as she reached down her hand to me, trying to help me the best she could. 

My body acted on it's own, as my right hand reached up towards hers and instictively gripped onto it, desperately. Then… My body cooed, as I stared up into her beautiful emerald eyes. It was like even her eyes didn't want me to worry. 

That's right, I didn't have to worry… Now someone was there to watch over me and keep me comfort. Even if she was young, she wanted to protect me. And she began to wipe away my tears with her remaining right arm.

"If I have to, I'll even rock you to sleep, making sure you are protected… Beacause I love you, Kokoro." She told me, with joyful tears of empathy in her eyes. "Don't worry anymore, for me, okay?" She asked me with a smile on her face, she was happy to see me, but still sad because I was fearful.

Suddenly, she let go of my hand, and grabbed onto my sides, before lifting me up and taking me over to the rocking chair and pulling out a book.

"Here, I can read you to sleep!" Orhime toldme as she began to read from the book, I was too tired to hear the exact words. Something about spirits that can change human… E… E… Zzz….
