After the emotional evening at the park, I found myself waiting for the mysterious friend’s messages every day. But just when everything seemed peaceful, something unexpected happened.
A new student transferred into my class—a tall boy with a confident smile. On his very first day, he sat beside me and kept chatting.
“Hey, my name’s Minh. You seem interesting, let’s be friends, okay?”
I felt a little awkward and just nodded. But that very night, my phone buzzed:
> “Who’s that person you’ve been talking to? Why are they always around you?”
For the first time, the mysterious friend sounded upset. I quickly typed back:
“He’s just a new classmate…”
But even through the short message, I could sense the jealousy hidden in their words.
In the following days, Minh grew closer, always finding excuses to stay near me, even suggesting:
“Wanna head home together after school today?”
My heart wavered. On one side was the mysterious friend—unseen yet always caring. On the other was Minh—a real person, whose smile stirred feelings I couldn’t ignore.
