"And?" Riley asked.
Scarlett opened up the binder back to the pictures. "I don't know...I don't want her to get her hopes up...no matter how plausible her theory might be."
"What if it holds more weight than you think?" he asked.
"But what if it doesn't?" she asked.
"Is there a reason to think otherwise?" Leroy said, he reached down and grabbed the binder, looking at the pictures.
"...not one I'm aware of." she sighed.
Riley chuckled, shutting the book and putting it back down on the desk. "You really don't understand who you're working for then. GPAT knows more than they let on, are you sure you just don't want to catch flak from the big bosses for suggesting they missed something?"
Her face grew warm. "N-No! Of course not!"
'Why is he so nonchalant about this? Is there something here?'
Riley smiled mischievously.
"I mean...." Scarllet sat down, unsure what to say to argue. "I'm not lying about getting Ami's hopes up sir...do you suggest I risk it?"
"Do what you want, I just wanted to make sure nothing against the rules is happening." Riley answered.
He turned to leave, but paused midstep. "Remember Rose, GPAT knows more than a lot of us realize, its old as war itself. Who knows what kind of out there things are actually true that they know about."
"What do you mean?"
Riley smiled and walked away without answering, leaving behind a confused but guilty raven. What he said was odd, even for him but it wasn't untrue. GPAT went back far and it isn't news that the higher you go the more things you realize are kept secret. She leaned back in her chair with a frown.
'Could they already be looking into Molli's...or, that cat's whereabouts?' she wondered.
She looked around at the anima working her, not a single soul was looking her way as things reset back to normal when Amity left. “I wonder…” Scarlett mumbled with the sudden urge to find out. "Could they already be looking into Molli's whereabouts?”
She sat down at her desk and got on her computer. 'Nobody will mind me looking into that old case.' she thought. 'Or anything related.'
